Description
Hundreds of years spent alone made his heart bitter. Humans may have been awestruck by his looks but they never meddled with him, not when his gaze was so cold, lifeless.
It wasn't like he needed those stupid mortals to interfere with his life: getting close to one would have meant suffering when it died, anyway. He was fine alone, he cared not about how others of his kind were so intent on finding the lost half of their soul.
This whole searching for love thing was useless and quite stupid.. Or so he thought until love found him at the strangest of places.
Foreword
It may not be easy to find the one for whom your heart eternally longs for, but it is more than worth it. Right?
It all started on a cold night just like many stories do. The moon was high up in the air, littering the streets with a gentle glow. Not one sound disturbed the peace of loneliness, not even the footsteps of the petit male that rushed from one corner to another, trembling just a little. So maybe he shouldn't have messed with those idiots.
It's not like he really wanted to. He just needed food for the night: for the past few months he'd found it hard to actually find anything that could quench his undying thirst.
Maybe he was growing old, maybe lacking a mate, a 'rock' was finally having its effect on him.
Who knew?
Part of him just wanted to perish from this world: he would have gladly died had he been able to escape from the loneliness that was threatening to destroy him.
Or that's what he thought right until strong arms brought him into a firm chest and soft lips collided with his paled skin.
"It's okay now, I've got you..."
