I was lucky, that I could move on with life.

For the first few days, I would always wake up crying, since I frequently dreamt of my parents.

But after a while, I managed to think only about the good things, and I guess I did move on.

It was difficult, though. Almost everything I saw or thought of reminded me of Appa.

I put on the necklace, and I had never taken it off for once.

Moving on wouldn't have been so easy, without the help of certain people.

Especially, Eli.

He would come to visit everyday, and we just hung out.

Kiseop was no help, he stayed away from me, especially when Eli was around, which was, a lot.

When I started going back to work, Eli stayed at the cafe all day, from when I started work till when I finished.

"Why do you cling to me so much?" I asked one day, after work.

"I just want to make sure you're okay," he answered, putting his arm around me.

I had gotten closer to him, and now we're like best friends.

It was a Saturday, and I didn't have to go to work.

I went downstairs and went to sit in the living room.

Kiseop was there, but when he saw me, he stood up.

"Yah, Kiseop, what's wrong with you these days?" I asked him.

"Nothing. Aren't you going out with him again today?" he asked, and there was a bitter tone in his words.

"I don't know. Why? Do you wanna come with us?" I asked.

"Psh," he replied, rolling his eyes and walking upstairs to his room.

Urgh what the heck.

These days, the evil Kiseop was back, and it was, now freaking rare to see him smile.

"I think he's jealous Jiyoung," somebody said from behind. I turned around, and it was Mrs Lee.

"Huh?"

"I think he's jealous that you and Eli are getting really close to each other," she explained.

It took me a while to understand.

When I did, I bursted out into laughter.

"Why would he be jealous?" I asked, in between laughters.

"Maybe.. he likes you?" she guessed, and I immediately stopped laughing.

Hmm, possible.

"But he's always mean," I told her.

She shrugged. "My son is a weird person."

We laughed at that.

Right then, the doorbell rung, and I went to get it.

Obviously, it was Eli.

"Annyeong~" he said, waving.

"Hey," I greeted back in English.

He laughed.

He's been teaching me English recently, and I could now speak some English.

"Wanna come take a walk with me?" he asked, in Korean.

I nodded, "There's nothing to do at home anyways."

I ran upstairs, got my jacket and went out with him.

We walked to the park, as always.

"I'm glad you're okay now," he said.

I smiled.

"I don't think I could be like this without your help," I told him.

He smiled back.

A gust of wind suddenly blew, and it got colder.

I felt the hair on my arms rise, and crossed my arms together to warm myself up.

"Hey look!" Eli suddenly put his palm out.

Something white and kind of fluffy fell onto his hand, and I realised it was snowing.

"It's snowing!" I squeeled, and jumped around.

It was the only good thing about winter, snow.

I hated the fact that it was cold, but I loved it when there was snow.

"This means that Christmas is coming!" he said, wiping his hands on his pants.

I suddenly felt sad, the first Christmas without Appa. Without both of my parents.

"Jiyoung~" Eli said, waving his hand in front of me.

"Huh what?" I asked.

"Are you thinking of...?" he asked. I knew he was talking about my parents, so I nodded.

"Aww, don't worry. Ukiss has this celebration every Christmas, at our practice room, and you're invited," he said, putting his arm around me.

"Oh?"

"Yeah, and the old members would be joining us, then you'll get loads of presents," he said.

I laughed.

"But that means I have to get all of you presents!" I exclaimed.

"Oh yeah."

"Come on, let's go home, it's getting cold," I said, walking in the direction of home.
