“I will wait Sandara.”

“Suit yourself.”

Man, how was I going to focus with her there?

I did my job and about three hours later, we were good to go. We headed home because my sister was hungry probably. We talked in the car, quite easily actually. She stumbled to find words sometimes or would switch them with French ones.

And true enough, my sister attacked me when I entered the house. Again.

“How would you feel about pancakes?” I asked and she beamed. Pancakes were pretty much her favorite.

Chaerin-ssi came in to and introduced herself.

“Hi, I’m Chaerin. Nice to meet you.” She said and reached her hand out to my sister. She me.

“Is she your girlfriend?”

I chuckled and answered her, “No, we just met.” And got back to cooking.

“Good. She talks funny.” I laughed. And Chaerin started tickling my sister, Haru.

“Oh, you think I talk funny?” and she played with her.

We ate and watched a movie waiting for Haru to fall asleep. At ten, I decided it was time for her to go, and we exchanged numbers. I followed her to the door, she kissed my hand and said something in French. I’m not sure what it was but it contained the word cherie. I took a shower and went to bed early.

Haru was going to our grandparents today that would give me a bit more freedom at my day off. I will be meeting Chaerin at the beach. I couldn’t see her, but she found me. She had been surfing. She was wearing a two-piece swimwear. Of course. I smiled.

“Do you want to try?” she said gesturing to the board.

“Uhm, no, thank you.” I paused. “I can’t, and the water is cold.”

“Is it okay if I go? The waves are perfect just now.”

She asked and I nodded. I walked with her into the water until it reached my shorts. The water was so cold, but it was refreshing in this heat.

I watched her surf.

She was good, sometimes she would disappear inside a wave and come out still standing, other time she was not that lucky and ended in the water.
