“Pardon. My French is not too god. What did you just say?” she just smiled.

“I was curious, I couldn’t get you out of my mind.” She paused. “How are you?”

“I’m very good at lying.” I told her feeling uncomfortable sitting closest to the cutest French woman who just happened to know my secrets.

“Okay, my mother has gotten a lot better. She’s starting to look for new jobs and moving on. I don’t have to cook dinner everyday anymore. And I got a new best friend, her name is Bom. She’s over there.” I lied smiling and pointed to Bom.

“How can you tell?” I asked truly wondering.

“Your eyes.” She said and continued. “They’re sad. If you’re telling the truth, they would be sparkling, they would be happy.” She said and gazed into my eyes.
