Description :

"Will we meet again?" I ask quietly.

The bustling of the streets and the sound of cars zooming on expressways filled the empty silence that lay around the night.

He stood on the edge of the building, while i took the safer option of sitting beside him instead. My bare feed dangled along the building walls as i glanced down to see the ground forty levels away.

"Let the living live the lives the dead cannot live anymore," He said before clinking his can of beer next to mine. "We might meet again, but until then, let's make a promise."

I took a mouthful from the can in my hands and stood up on the same edge i had been sitting. I looked to him full on the eye, understanding the weight of his words.

"Let's promise to never find each other, and live the lives we are going to live."

He smiled as he grabbed my shoulders. "Until our paths cross again."

"Until our paths cross again." I said, holding out my can
