Fate: The First MeetingHe was supposed to bring Mino to Kirkwood but he wasn't in the mood for today.
It was because of the dreams that he had last night.
First, it was about his mother.
It hit differently for Seungyoon to look at her face for the very first time, and for the last time too.
Second, the same boy who always appeared in his dreams.
“Seungyoon-ah, why didn't you wake me up? We’re late!”
Mino came running from the upstairs and stopped at the living room when he saw Seungyoon was staring blankly at the TV.
“Seungyoon, are you okay?”
Seungyoon didn’t say anything before he stood up and walked to the kitchen.
“Is it okay to have French toast and omelette for today’s breakfast?”
Mino was left alone, puzzled and didn’t know how to react.
Seungyoon never behaves like this.
Ever.
“Are you sure that you’re okay?”
Mino asked before he followed him into the kitchen.
Seungyoon nodded and took two eggs from the fridge.
“Can you help me with the French toasts?”
Mino didn’t say anything and moved towards the toaster.
“Argh, I can’t take it anymore!”
“Oh, God!”
Mino jumped on his foot, startled with Seungyoon’s sudden high-pitched voice.
“What’s wrong? Is it too hard to make an omelette?”
Seungyoon let out a heavy sigh and put his hands on Mino’s shoulders.
“I think I have to tell you everything.”
“But, you didn’t answer my..”
Mino couldn’t finish his words when Seungyoon pulled his hand back to the living room.
“Just listen and I really hope that you can help me.”

“Are you sure this is going to work?”
Seungyoon felt nervous as Mino was leading him to an unknown place.
He didn’t even know about the existence of the store that Mino insisted him to go.
At last, they arrived at the streets of Kirkwood town that was full of teenagers by their age.
“Her store is located nearby. Come on!”
Mino then took his hand and he was dragged amongst the crowds.
“Ya, Song Minho! Calm your !”
Mino shook his head and walked even faster.
“We don’t have time! She’s going to close her store right at 6.00 p.m!”
Seungyoon was trying to look at his watch when Mino changed the direction to a small valley behind the stores.
He nearly tripped over his legs when Mino suddenly stopped.
“We’re here.”
“It looks creepy. Are you sure this is the right place?”
“Trust me.”
Both of them walked inside the store before coming to a halt in front of a wooden door.
Seungyoon got goosebumps all over his body when he saw some small skulls hanging by the door.
When the wind brushed through the skulls, they made such unpleasant noises against the old, wooden door.
But, the noises didn’t even bother Mino who was enthusiastically knocked on the door, before it was opened by someone.
“Yes, may I help you?”
From behind the door, Seungyoon could hear a woman’s voice asking them.
“Aunty Ahn, I had brought my friend, and he really, really need your help.”
“Come in.”
The door was opened wider to give way for them into the small room.
At the moment Seungyoon stepped inside, he knew what the place was.
It was a tarot card reading place.
“Please, have a seat. Tell me, young boy. What’s the matter?”
She looked at Mino before he told her the reason they came to see her.
“Of course, I knew it.”
She smiled and stared at Seungyoon who was feeling uneasy because of her stare.
Is she a witch?
Then, she laughed while pulling out some cards from under the table.
“Dear, I’m not a witch, just a tarot card reader.”
She smiled again before started their card reading session.
