How he wished it was just a dream.

As Seungyoon slowly opened his eyes, he felt like a déjà vu.

He could see the white curtains were hanging around his bed.

I must be dreaming just now.

As he looked to his right, Jinwoo was fast asleep.

Did he finally get hold of Taehyun?

While Seungyoon was searching for a button to recline the bed, he had discovered his phone under the pillow.

Did Jinwoo hyung put it here?

He then unlocked the phone and went through the call log.

He was thinking of giving Taehyun a call as he felt like they haven’t talked in ages.

To his surprise, there was no recent call made to Taehyun’s number.

Did Jinwoo hyung lie to me?

But he wouldn’t do that.

I know him inside and out.

Seungyoon was about to wake him up but canceled it out.

He might have deleted it by accident.

He kept his positive thoughts and searched for Taehyun’s number.

After a few seconds, he could hear the ringing tone.

“Sorry, the person you're calling is not reachable. Please try again later.”

Not giving up, Seungyoon tried calling the number once again.

“Sorry, the number you’ve dialed is not in service. Thank you.”

What the heck?

It’s not in service?

Are you kidding me?

As he was trying to call the number, again and again, Jinwoo woke up.

“What’s the time now?”

Seungyoon was a bit startled by his voice.

“Hyung, I need to ask you something.”

“Go on.”

Jinwoo looked at his watch before yawning.

“Did you call Taehyun?”

Jinwoo then stopped scrolling his phone and fixed his eyes on his cousin.

“I beg your pardon?”

“Hyung, it’s not the time to be funny and all. I’m serious.”

Jinwoo looked puzzled and shrugged his shoulders.

“I didn’t understand what you’re talking about. Calling who you said?”

“Taehyun. Nam Taehyun. Come on, hyung. Jebal.”

“I’m not joking with you, Seungyoon. I didn’t even know what you’re talking about. Who? Nam Taehyun? Who’s that?”

Seungyoon was getting irritated, thinking that his cousin was pulling a trick on him.

“You know what hyung? You’re such a terrible liar.”

Not waiting any longer, Seungyoon tried to pull the IV drip off from his left hand.

Jinwoo who was flabbergasted by that action tried all the best he could to stop Seungyoon from hurting himself.

“Seungyoon-ah, stop that! What’re you thinking? You’re hurting yourself even more!”

At that moment, a nurse came by for a check-up.

“Please, help me!”

Jinwoo pleaded to the nurse and she quickly injected Seungyoon with the tranquilizer.

Moments later, Seungyoon fell into a deep sleep.

“I’m not lying to you, Seungyoon.”

After a few hours, Seungyoon woke up from his slumber.

At the moment he woke up, he straight away asked Jinwoo about Taehyun.

“If you didn’t believe me, you could ask Mino yourself.”

Mino who just got back from the washroom looked confused as both Seungyoon and Jinwoo were looking at him.

“You guys, what’s the problem?”

“Mino-sshi, he wanted to ask you about that boy. Taehyun.”

“Taehyun? Who’s that? Did I know him?”

“See, Seungyoon. What’d I tell you? We’re not pulling a trick on you. Why do we need to waste our time?”

Mino who was confused tried hard to recollect his memory.

“As I could remember, I never came across anyone with that name. Is he someone that you know, Seungyoon?”

Both of them didn’t even give him any chance to talk, the chance to really get the answer about Taehyun.

Where is Taehyun?

And why was the news claiming that he was…

…dead?

“Okay. Now, listen to me carefully, Yoonie-ah. You’ve been admitted to the hospital was because you had down with anaemia. Don’t worry, it’s not even dangerous and not fatal at all.”

“I’ve got anaemia?”

That was not the thing that he wanted to hear from his cousin at all.

“Yes, anaemia. I think that’s why you seemed to be fatigued all the time and sometimes would even blackout.”

Mino then put a banana into Seungyoon’s hand.

“You should eat to fill your tummy. You’re looking like a zombie.”

Mino tried to bring some laughter to make his best friend felt better but it was not working.

“Are you sure that you never heard of Nam Taehyun?”

Jinwoo and Mino then exchanged gazes before shook their head simultaneously.

“Nope. We never heard anything about a boy named Nam Taehyun.”

“Did you know about the dream that I’ve been dreaming? The dreams about him?”

“No.”

“Did you know that both of us were a thing? That we used to date each other?”

This time, both of them had jaws dropped at Seungyoon’s question.

“Seungyoon-ah, how could you date a boy who doesn’t even exist?”

“Jinwoo hyung was right all along, Yoonie. We’re not messing up with you and we could swear that we never meet anyone named Nam Taehyun in our life. Ever.”

After hearing all of those, Seungyoon gave out eventually.

He was too tired to even think about any possibilities now.

All he wanted was to rest and sleep throughout the night.
