"Hello?" he said as he pulled his phone out of pocket, one hand still on the steering wheel. 

"Yah! Oppa! What did I tell you about talking on the phone while you drive?" she said sternly. 

"Sorry baby. Hang on Ji. I'll put you on loudspeaker," he said before, hitting the loudspeaker button and handing the phone to his wife. 

"Hello?" Taeyeon answered. 

"Hey Taeng. Where are you guys now?" 

"We're still on the road at the moment but traffic looks pretty bad. I'm not sure how much longer it's going to be before we get there."

"Well, get here as soon as you can okay? We're gonna start cooking cause some of the kids are getting restless," he informed them. 

"Alright, we shouldn't be too much longer hopefully. We'll see you then oppa," she said, before hanging up. "What's going on up there?" she mumbled to herself as she sat up higher in her seat, hoping to see why there was so much traffic. 

"Something must have happened up ahead. Don't worry kids. We'll be there soon," Youngbae smiled, leaning back into his seat. 

"Where are we going anyways?" Dohyun asked absentmindedly, fully concentrating on the game he was playing. 

Taeyeon sighed to herself and closed her eyes. "We've told you about ten times already Dohyun-ah. Your Aunt Seohyun and Uncle Seungri just had a baby and we're going to see them," she patiently explained. 

"Ohhhhh. Right. Guess it slipped my mind," he said off-handedly, before being pushed by his sister. "What?"

"God, you're so hopeless," Haeun grumbled to herself. 

"So Haeunie," Taeyeon said, getting the attention of her daughter. "How's things at school with that boy?" she asked curiously.

"Oh, you mean Namjoon?" Dohyun said before having his mouth clamped shut by his sister. 

"Yah, would you shut up?" she whispered harshly before removing her hand. 

"Ahhh. Now I have a first name. Tell me his family name and I'll make sure I get this boy," Youngbae said with a smirk on his face. 

"Honey, can you please stop threatening to kill this boy?" Taeyeon said with a small chuckle of her own. "So?" she asked, turning back in her seat to face her daughter.

"So.... what? I already told you what happened. I'm moving on," she said nonchalantly.

"That's my girl!" Youngbae cheered happily. 

"God. Now I can see why the kids get embarassed around you," Taeyeon said under her breath, but it was loud enough for him to hear. 

"Mom, you're both embarassing," Dohyun told them truthfully.

"Really? I thought we were pretty cool. Didn't you babe?" he asked as grabbed her hand. 

"Yeah. We're cooler than most parents. Who else can say their parents were in SNSD and BIGBANG?"

"Um... like ten other people? Another one was just born. We're going to see them now mom. Did you forget?" Dohyun said. 

"Hey. Easy on the attitude Dohyun-ah. Otherwise, I won't take you to the YG building and you won't get to see the female trainees anymore," Youngbae threatened, causing Taeyeon and Haeun to giggle. 

"Woah! Okay, okay. I'll do whatever you say dad," he said, his hand raised in front of him in surrender. 

"Honey, if he ever misbehaves, just let me know and I'll sort him out," he winked at his wife. 

"I'll keep that in mind," she giggled. 

"Hey!" Haeun's voice rang throughout the car. "I totally forgot about your story! It's been ages, I completely forgot about it," she laughed. 

"Well, we were wondering when you were going to ask again. It's been weeks."

"Sorry. School and all that," Haeun said, embarassed by her forgetfulness. "Where were we up to again?"

"What part were we up to babe?"

"Hm... the part where you ignored me," she said, before playfully pushing his hand away from her. 

"Hey, don't be like that," he laughed, attempting to grab her hand again. 

"Oh my god. Can you two stop it? It's so embarrassing," Haeun grumbled under her breath. "Can we get to the story please?"

"Okay, okay. Geez. So I had just got a call from your father to meet up..."

She quickly put on a warm coat, trying to sneak out of the dorm without any of the other girls seeing her, however she had no such luck this time. 

"Where are you going this late unnie?" Seohyun, who was getting ready for bed, caught her, drawing the attention of the other girls as they turned to face her. 

"Was that Taeyang sunbaenim that called before?" Yoona asked excitedly, bouncing in her seat. Even without receiving an answer from Taeyeon, the answer was written all over her face. "It was, wasn't it?! You're going to meet him now? Wearing that?" she continued. 

"He just wants to meet to talk. We're not going on another date so it doesn't matter if I'm dressed like this," she defended quickly. "Anyways, I better go. I don't want to keep him waiting for me," she said hastily, rushing out of the door and not looking back. 

"She's not even his girlfriend and she's acting like she is already," Jessica remarked, eyes still stuck on the television. 

She made her way down the elevator and out of the doors. As she entered the secluded park, she saw a lone figure sitting on a bench, with his back facing her. He was wearing a jumper with the hood pulled up. When she confirmed that it was him, she quietly walked towards him and started to tip-toe as she got nearer, quickly placing her hands over his eyes.

"Guess who?" she said with aegyo.

Youngbae lifted his hands and pulled hers from his face as he turned to her with a smile. "Hi," he said as he gestured for her to take a seat next to him.

She quickly rushed around the seat and took the offered seat, turning her body to face him with a smile. "It's really good to see you again. You had me worried," she said with a concerned look on her face. 

"Yeah... I'm sorry about that. Like I said before on the phone, I had a lot on my mind," he trailed off, not meeting her eyes as he faced the front, looking off into the distance. 

She noticed his odd behaviour and began to wonder even more. She waited a few moments but he still remained quiet. "So... what was it that you wanted to talk about with me oppa?" she asked, no longer able to take this awkward atmosphere that seemed to consume them. 

Youngbae remained silent for a few more moments before taking a deep breath. "Well... I've been thinking a lot lately," he started. 

"About what?"

"Just about our friendship and everything that's been happening over the last few weeks or so," he said, still not looking at her. Because he wasn't looking at her, he didn't notice her expression turn uneasy when he said friendship. That wasn't what she was hoping for. 

"You probably already know this since it's been mentioned in broadcasts before by the guys, but... I don't really have any dating experience and I tend to feel uncomfortable around females. I'm sure you've noticed it before," he said as he glanced at her. 

"Such a loser," Dohyun whispered, before receiving a push from his sister. 

She nodded her head. 

"But... honestly... I don't know what it is, but I feel really comfortable around you. If I hadn't then we probably wouldn't be friends like we are at the moment." 

'There it is again. Stop saying that word.' she thought to herself. 

"God, dad. That's the last thing girls want to hear from a guy she likes," Haeun shook her head, facepalming at her tactless dad.

"I haven't seen her in a while but when I do, I have to thank Jihye noona. If it wasn't for her, we wouldn't have met," he smiled. 

Hearing this, Taeyeon felt a little guilty that she hadn't told him about Yuri. "Um... oppa. I actually have something to confess about that," she said sheepishly.

"What's that?" he asked as he sat up.

"Well... You know how we went on that blind date right?"

"Yeah, of course. I don't think I'll ever forget that night," he said, his words making her smile immediately, saying it so sincerely that she couldn't help but giggle. 

"Well... I wasn't actually the person that was supposed to go on that date," she said slowly, not meeting his eyes, still playing with her hands. 

A look of confusion was written on his face. "Huh? I don't understand. What do you mean?"

"The person that Jihye unnie had initially set you up with was actually Yuri," she said, finally meeting his shocked eyes. 

"What? I was supposed to meet Yuri-shi instead of you?" he asked, clearly confused. 

"Yeah..." she nodded her head guiltily. 

"So how come you were there instead of Yuri-shi?"

"I actually had no idea about the blind date until she told me that morning. She had actually come down with the flu and asked me to fill in her place," she explained.

"Ahhhh...." he said as he leaned back in his seat and looked off in the distance, silence engulfing them.

Taeyeon didn't know what to make of it. Was he wondering what would've happened if Yuri went on the date instead? Was he hoping that he would get the opportunity in the future? 

"You know I've never said this before about anyone, and I feel really sorry about saying this," he began.

She was slightly nervous about what he was about to say, not able to look at him as she stared down at her hands. "But I'm kind of glad that Yuri was ill and you took her place," he finished as he turned to look at her with a smile on his face. 

Taeyeon couldn't help but smile at his words. She bent over and placed her hands over her face, feeling the heat quickly rising.

"Wow! I can't believe you would say something like that about Aunt Yuri dad!" Haeun said, laughing at the same time. 

"What? If I had gone on that date with your Aunt Yuri, you two might not be here today. Besides, I said it in a joking manner," he defended himself, winking over at his wife.

Youngbae chuckled at her reaction to his words. "Like I said before, I feel really comfortable with you. It's not something I can say too often."

She looked at him and smiled. "I feel comfortable with you as well," she said. "Sorry oppa. You were in the middle of speaking and I interrupted you," she apologized. 

"No, don't be sorry. I'm glad we finally cleared that up," he smiled.

"So what did you want to talk about then?"

Youngbae hesitated slightly, not knowing if he could do it, having never confessed to a girl before. "This is sort of hard for me to say," he chuckled nervously to himself, rubbing the back of his neck.

Taeyeon giggled at his cute behaviour. "What is it? Tell meeeee," she said with aegyo, shaking his shoulder playfully. 

"This. This right here," he gestured at her with his eye smile, laughing at her behaviour. 

"What? What did I do?" she asked as she looked down at herself, unsure of what he was referring to. 

"How can I not fall for this?" he playfully asked, still smiling. 

"Ohhhh yeah. Dad's always had a weakness for aegyo. No wonder you have him in your palm mom."

"Hey, hey, hey. She does not have me in her palm," Youngbae said, looking back at them through the rearview mirror. He turned to the side and saw his wife looking at him with a raised eyebrow. "Sorry baby," he mumbled, his kids laughing at their behaviour. 

She stopped what she was doing and looked up at him with a bewildered expression. "What did you say?" she asked, thinking she was hearing things. 

"When you act all cute like this, how can I not fall for you?" he asked. He hadn't planned to confess to her like this but he hoped that he was doing it right. 'Isn't this what guys do in movies?' he thought to himself. 

'Did he just say he liked me? Am I hearing things? It can't be. But I heard it with my own ears! He likes me too! Omo. He's looking at me. I need to say something! Taeyeon-ah! Get your head on straight! You don't want to make a fool of yourself in front of him!'

"You... You like me?" she stuttered, not able to meet his eyes. She couldn't help the blush that was on her face. 

"Honestly... Yeah... At least I think I do," he said quitely, still looking at her.
