"I will take care of her. I will love her 'till the day my last breath comes out of me. I will hold her hand 'till forever. And I will love her like no else can. She will not just be my wife but she will also become my life"

I slowly open my eyes, getting used to the blinding light from the window. Jeez, she opened it again, I told her to always close the blinds when she wakes up first.

I slowly remove my blanket and directed my feet to the warm comfort of my slippers. I turn to my clock and saw the time, the time?

6:08 am 2/25

"February 25th?"

"Miyoung-ah!"

I heard a deep voice from outside the door. A deep voice? Oh yeah, reality or present rather creeps back to my mind as I look at my surrounding, everything is different.

The purple blanket we used to share is now dark pink, the queen sized bed can now only fit one person, and the cream colored room is now lightish pink. The frame which used to show our picture now only has my face. I looked around, this is not our room.

"Miyoung?"

"I'll be out in a minute dad"

This... This was our past. And now it is my present.

I thought it was impossible. Time travel was just an idea from those science fiction books, books she loves to read. The impossible became possible because of a simple ring in our doorstep. Two weird ladies offered me the chance, the chance to change everything.

"Are you crazy?"

"We asked that the first time we heard the idea too but unfortunately or rather fortunately we are not" the woman with long brownish hair and thick eyeglasses told me. She looked really familiar but I can’t remember clearly. Her taller companion with short blond hair and is wearing thick black sunglasses looks quite calm and quiet, now she I must say looks like Sooyoung.

"Why not trust us?"

"Umm, I'm sorry but my partner is not here and I'm not quite sure about letting some stranger inside our home"

"Trust me Miss we are here to HELP and we're sure your partner trusts you enough to make your own decision" She smiled at me and I sighed. "Fine."

I looked up at the security camera near our door. Taeyeon always made sure that we are safe and so she asked for a security cameras and a well-known security agency look after us.

"How can I be sure that what you’re telling me is safe? And true? And not just some scam?"

"We don't need your money in fact this is free and we do not wish to get in jail early. We are here to help. Tell me Ms. Hwang, do you have any regrets in life? Any regrets at all?"

And that question brought me here... In the past.

"Miyoung, what's wrong? You look preoccupied these days. Even your sister noticed the changes"

My dad looking all worried asked me.

"Is it about work? You don’t have to worry about it. I know you don't want to leave for that party in New York so I asked someone to go in our place."

"Who?"

"Sooyeon"

"Oh? And Jessi agreed?"

"Your cousin was also against it but a credit card which can be used for infinite shopping caught her attention. I swear you two will bring our company to bankruptcy when you both take over"

I smiled at his words, yeah we probably will. Maybe that was why he was so happy when I married Taeyeon, at least his cards and company were saved from the shopaholic duo.

"Dad, don't worry I don't plan to take over the company. Michelle can handle it"

And that is the reason why I am here.

My life for the last ten years, well for the next ten years a year from now is like a dream come true for normal housewives. I have a credit card I can use to buy anything, anything I want. I don't have to work at home because I have maids under my command 24/7. I don’t have to worry about my safety, I have more security guards than the president of any other country and I'm only the wife of a very famous, Very Famous business tycoon. I don’t have any child to worry about because my partner doesn't want to force me into things I'm not ready yet though we've been married for almost ten years now. And most importantly, I have someone by my side who loves me like no other. She made me her universe and honestly with her beside me... It secretly brought me comfort and happiness... Happiness...

"Ms. Hwang, do you have any regrets? As I look around, living in a place like this and living a life like yours I think the word regret doesn't even exist in your vocabulary" the taller one said.

"I..."

Do I?

"Shiyoung-ssi shall we use another word?"

I looked at them.

"Is there anything in your past you want to change?"

"There is..."

"Fany-ah, we already talked about this. If you need more money I'm more than willing to give you more than what you need. Why must you work?" Taeyeon asked as she gently laid her cup of coffee down the table. We are having our usual breakfast in the garden when I opened up the topic of me working. I know I don't need to do it but being stuck inside the house with nothing to do is just not my thing.

“Is this what you really want? To work?”

“Yes”

Taeyeon looked at me sadly as if she wanted to say something. I can see the usual sadness in her eyes. The same emotion I’ve been seeing quite often in our marriage life. We weren’t really your usual couple. Aside from the fact regarding our gender, we weren’t really… in love. It was an arranged marriage made by our parents. My mom and her mom were the best of friends and made a promise that their children shall get married someday. Her mother died after giving birth to Taeyeon and left Taeyeon in the care of my parents since her father pretty much wanted nothing to do with his daughter. My mom was devastated about her best friend’s death. She took Taeyeon in and she and dad took good care of her that is until Taeyeon’s father came and took her away when she was just a year old. I was born a year later after Taeyeon left. We were introduced when I was still in college and was deciding for my future while Taeyeon was pretty much making her own name in the business industry. Her father died when she was still in high school and left everything in her care. Everything which means their entire business empire and Taeyeon took care of everything at the age of 16. She was a genius to everyone. My parents did not have the plan to pursue the promise anymore but after witnessing how Taeyeon survived and lived alone and made her way to the top, they have decided that maybe continuing the promise was not a bad idea after all. They wanted the best for me and they knew Taeyeon would definitely fit the bill. My mom passed away with the want of Taeyeon being my future partner but she never forced me into it. It was still up to me she said. But she will be at peace if she sees me in good hands, in Taeyeon’s hands. What surprised me more was Taeyeon did not reject the idea. She accepted it and even seemed happy about it. And so, with me still being clueless about what I want for my future and having the thought of someone to take care of me, I accepted the marriage idea a year after we met… me and my naïve thoughts. I honestly don’t know what I feel about her. Our relationship, though we are married is such a blur. I was so used with her existence in the ten years that we were together and honestly, I do feel weird things when we were together but can it be considered love? I have no idea about love. We may have done things normal married couples do but Taeyeon will always respect my every decision though some I must say are quite unfair on her part. I even tried to date some people outside our marriage to know if what I feel for Taeyeon was the same with what I would feel with them, but Taeyeon always keeps a blind eye. Nothing was serious anyway and nothing came to the point of how I felt for her. They were all different, all different from her. In the end I will always go home to her. I don’t know why but I always end up by her side.

“I will let you do whatever you want” She smiled at me slightly before getting up and kissing my forehe
