Different people believe in different things.
I believe in santa, the easter bunny, leprechauns, and the tooth fairy.
However, one thing I refuse to believe in is cupid.
I get gifts under my christmas tree on christmas morning. Obviously, it was santa.
I get cute eggs left with candies and toys, obviously it was the easter bunny.
I got money under my pillow whenever I lost a tooth, obviously the tooth fairy.
I skipped leprechauns because honestly, there's nothing they leave behind for me to prove they're real. I believe in them because I can't be this short for no reason, I'm very convinced I'm a descendent of leprechauns.
I refuse to believe that a little flying boy in diapers is going to shoot me with a love arrow. That's total nonsense. I'm not that gullible.
The reason I bring him up is because today is Valentine's Day, the day that this cupid guy gets overly celebrated.
I just want to get my coffee without the red hearts and stupid drawing of cupid on it. I just want to walk through the streets without having to see a boy with wings on store's windows.
"CUPID DOESN'T EXIST!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, once I stepped on another "Valentine's Day" themed propaganda.
That felt good to scream.
Once again wanting to release my stress over this holiday, I stopped in my tracks and got ready to holler.
"I SAID, CUPID DOES NO-oof"
I was cut off when someone walked right into me.
"I'm so so so sorry!" The girl said.
I could've sworn I felt like something hit me in the back. Almost like a pinching feeling. The same feeling you get when you get a shot at the doctors?
"It's okay..." I muttered.
"Are you sure you're okay? You seem to be zoning out." The angel asked me. Wait scratch that, she's a goddess.
"No, no, no, I'm fine." A smile wouldn't get wiped off my face. I probably looked stupid, but I felt like someone drugged me.
"Oh my god! Your coffee spilled all over your clothes! I'm so sorry! Let me buy you a new one and pay for cleaning." She said but honestly all I heard was birds chirping and bells ringing, so I just nodded my head.

When I gained enough conscience to realize where we were, I noticed we were back in that stupid café, where I got my valentine's day themed coffee cup. I scoffed making her turn her head towards me.
"Is there something wrong?" She asked.
"Huh? No...I just don't like Valentine's day." I answered.
"Why not? Don't you like how people get flowers, chocolates, and bears? I think it's cute."
"Well, I'm fine with that it's just I don't believe in cupid." I said before ordering the same coffee I had earlier.
"Huh?" She asked while pushing my hand away from paying for my coffee. "I got it remember?"
"You really don't have to pay for it, but okay...I guess. Anyway, yeah I don't believe in cupid. He's a scam."
She laughed before saying, "Really? Wow. You learn something new everyday."
"Speaking of which? May I learn what your name is?" I applauded myself mentally for being smooth.
"It's Jessica Jung. Nice to meet you...?"
"Taeyeon. Kim Taeyeon." I answered before shaking her hand. It felt so soft.
By the time our self-introductions ended, my coffee was ready and we were on our way out.
"Here's the money for the dry-cleaning, I'm so sorry Taeyeon."
"It's seriously fine!"
"No, let me pay you back. I'd feel bad and would end up thinking about it for the rest of my life." She pleaded.
"Oh? Then I really don't want it." I said with a small grin.
"What?" Her eyebrows were raised making her face look so innocent.
"I want you to pay me back slowly." Taking out a Valentine's day themed flyer from my pocket that was handed to me earlier this morning, I scribbled my digits on before handing it to her. "Happy Valentine's Day!" I yelled back at her while walking off.

As Taeyeon skipped her way back to her house, a certain little boy with wings looked down on her with a smirk.
"So you don't believe in me huh? You'll thank me soon enough, sweetheart. Happy Valentine's Day Taeyeon!" He yelled before flying off to who-knows-where.

"Did someone just call for me?" Taeyeon asked herself. She swore she heard someone calling her name.
Turning around to see nobody she knew, she continued to walk home with lighter steps than this morning.
