Today is her birthday! Yes, Jeon Hyosung is turning 22 today!

She is smiling ear-to-ear now.

Her sweet boyfriend was giving her a surprise by 'kidnapping' her from her office and dragging her to this cute restaurant.

He opened the door for her. He pulled her chair for her. He treated her a nice lunch, with extra desserts that she chose.

Now, he is giving her his present, the one he had prepared just for her.

A bucket of rose. Red roses.

"This counts for every birthday that I missed." He smiles.

They just met this year, grew fond very quickly and became lovers before they realized.

She counts the flowers. 

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, and nine, ten, ...

"Kikwang-ah, there's only twenty one flowers." She asks, rather than states.

"Really?"

"You don't think that I'm turning 21, right?"

He doesn't say anything.

"Kikwang! You know I'm older than you for a year, right?"

He gives her his sheepish smile.

"Wow, I can't believe you thought that we're on the same age." She manages to give him a smile. "I wish we have the same age darling, but we're not."

He then stands up. "Wait here, okay? Don't go anywhere. I won't be long."

And with that, he leaves.

Fifteen minutes later, when Hyosung had already finish her desserts, he comes back. Sweating and out-of-breath.

"Here." He gives her another flower. One red rose.

She accepts it, since now she has twenty two roses. Twenty two red roses. Twenty two fragrant red roses. Twenty-

"It's a fake flower. A fake red rose, Kikwang-ah." She states now, rather than asks. She feels quite hurt. Why give me a fake one? 

"Keep it, so that you have twenty two roses."

She almost pouts hearing that.

"And remember: I'll love you until the last one dies."

Oh, by heaven, she resists the urge to blush. But she can't, and let him enjoys her red face.

"I love you, Kikwang-ah."

Later, after she cools her head off from the heat on her face, something crosses on her mind.

"Ya, you just made that up, didn't you? The lack of one and the fake flower. You made it, right?"

"I love you too, Hyo."
