"She's not pleasant to most, but she's precious to me." – Serin
“Are you ready, young padawan?” Serin questioned, pointing her bright neon blue lightsaber at Senji with a smirk.
“Oh, hell to the no. I’m a mother-fudging jedi!” Senji roared, swinging his bright green lightsaber at Serin.
The lightsabers soon clashed together, making a loud sound. Dodging Senji’s spontaneous moves, Serin analyzed her dear cousin’s moves; trying to find his weakness. Once found, Serin started her plan to defeat her lovely cousin and destroy his pride; that’s if he still had some dignity left.
“Hiya, take this! And this too!” Senji bellowed, making his moves quicker.
Defending herself from Senji’s swift movements, Serin was finally able to find his weak point. Giving herself five minutes to plan her moves, Serin aimed for the middle part of Senji’s lightsaber. When the lightsabers collided, Senji’s purple lightsaber flung out of his hands, landing on the ground with a huge clang.
“ing !” Senji cried, his eyes wide from shock.
“Heh, I won again.” Serin smirked, patting herself on the back with pride.
“Ugh, this is like the fifth time today.” Senji pouted, drooping his shoulders.
“Well, I am the best fighter in GHOST.”
“That is true.”
Soon, Serin’s phone notification tone made a sound, gaining the attention of the pair.
“Hmm, Noma just texted me, saying that Sungjin wanted to meet us for a lunch date.”
“Well, we better get changed because Noma will nag the heck out of us if we show up to the restaurant in our pajamas.” Senji laughed, rushing up to his bedroom.
After fifteen minutes of getting dressed and making herself somewhat presentable, Serin walked to Noma’s office. Meeting Noma’s eyes as she opened the door, Noma gave Serin a thumbs-up, giving Serin the seal of approval.
“I’m feeling this outfit. That black pleated skirt goes well with the loose sweater you’re wearing.”
“Damn, way to flatter me.” Serin giggled.
“On another note, where the hell is Senji?”
“Oh, I thought he was hiding in the corner, trying to scare me like usual.”
“Surprisingly not, this time. Ugh, he’s going to make us late.” Noma groaned, rubbing his temples to relieve his irritation.
“Well, this is Senji we’re talking about.”
“True, I’ll give him five minutes. If not, you’re allowed to smack him around.”
“Yay!” Serin cheered, clapping her hands together in glee.
Nearing five minutes, Senji came running into Noma’s office. With the knowledge of Serin’s personality, Senji could sense something off. If there were one thing that made Serin predictable, it would be that Serin would find any reason to give Senji a good whooping. There was something about Senji that made him so hittable.
“Okay! I’m ready now!”
“Damn it! If you came in two seconds later, I could’ve beat your .” Serin whined, stomping her foot on the ground like a spoiled child.
“Well, not today motherer!” Senji panted, trying to catch his breath.
“Okay, shut up, you two. Sungjin is expecting us in ten minutes, and you two both know that he doesn’t like to wait.”
The trio then walked out of the building; locking everything up and hurriedly moving along to Noma’s car. With the radio , the crew made their way to the address Sungjin sent to Noma. Once Noma parked the car, the three of them were lead into restaurant by Noma.
“Hmm, Noma? Who is that person next to Sungjin?” Senji asked.
“She’s the woman Sungjin recommended to me when I told him to hook me up with one of his government connections.”
“Is she safe? I mean she’s gorgeous and could help us create a distraction, but is recruiting her worth the hassle?” Serin inquired.
“I made sure to check her background and everything I could find on her, she seems clean. She’s also what I think would be good for this team.”
“And what would that be?”
“She’s a lawyer; a good one at that, Senji.”
“Oh, smart and pretty; what a lethal combination. I think I’m going to like her.” Serin smirked, making her way to Sungjin.
Yelling Sungjin’s name while waving her arms in the air, Serin gave Sungjin a hug once he was close enough.
“Ah, my lovely Sungjin! How are you?” Serin smiled, swaying Sungjin in her embrace.
“I’ve been good. You look great as always.”
“Thanks, now tell me who your pretty friend is.”
“This is Miyeon. She’s the person that busts my out of trouble whenever I need help.”
“Wow, way to make it sound like I don’t play a crucial role in your life. Whenever he s up, it’s down to me to make sure that he does not get locked up.” Miyeon smirked, shaking the hand that Serin offered.
“Oh, I like you. Noma, I approve of her.”
“Told you so.” Noma said, pulling the seat next to Sungjin out and sitting on it.
“Hi there, I’m Senji.” Senji smiled at Miyeon, taking the seat next to Serin.
“He’s also my cousin unfortunately.”
“What do you mean by unfortunately?” Senji piped, making a pouty face.
“Can we get to ordering our food? My stomach is growling and it’s not attractive at all.” Noma chimed in, looking at one of the menus the waitress had given them.
“I didn’t even notice your stomach growling. I was too fixated on your cheekbones. Like , your cheekbones could cut through diamonds.”
“Can we keep her?” Serin pleaded, looking at Noma with her hands together.
“Only if she agrees to join our team. It’s her choice, not mine. Although if she refuses our offer, I’ll try my best to convince her to join.”
“Oh, thank god. I’m really loving this woman, she’s fabulous.”
“After meeting you three, I think joining this crew is what I need. I’ve been quite desperate for some action in my life; it’s been so mundane these past few months.”
“So, is that a yes?” Senji blurted.
“I mean why not? I imagine life with you three will be entertaining.”
“Woohoo, I’m so excited! As much as I love these two, it’s such a relief to have another girl in GHOST.” Serin beamed, clapping her hands together.
“Forewarning, I’m not the most pleasant person to be around with, but my skills are very valuable.”
“Well, I think you’re cool so you’re good in my books. Plus, if Noma approves of you, then I can put my trust in you.”
“Then, it’s official! Miyeon will be a member of GHOST.” Senji cheered.
“Although, there are a few steps that you’ll need to do before officially becoming a member of this organization.” Noma interjected.
“Am I going to get hazed into doing something I’ll regret?”
“Oh, no. We just need to train you in self-defense, show you how things work at our headquarters, and give you a phone.”
“But, I already have a phone right here?” Taking out her phone from her purse, Miyeon showed off her phone to Noma.
“Oh, this isn’t your typical cellphone. It’s been created by Noma and personalized by me. With this phone, it has a extremely low chance of getting hacked and will keep you off the government’s radar.” Senji described, bringing out his phone to show Miyeon all of the custom modifications that have been made by Noma.
“Although, don’t be surprised when you see your phone background. Senji designs all of the backgrounds so they’re a little odd.” Serin addressed.
“Hey, I think they’re pretty damn cute.”
“Anyways, just come to this address and we’ll get you started.” Noma said, giving Miyeon a small black card with the address of the GHOST headquarters.
