Chapter four
Walking through a wall of fire"what do you like about Kibum?"
Donghae looked up from his show to stare at Eunhyuk, confused by his question.
They hadn't really resolved things after the incident last week and had been treading eggshells around each other.
"Why him?"
Donghae stopped for a moment to think. It had been hard learning to forget Eunhyuk, hard until Kibum had showed up. Once Kibum entered his life it felt as though he did all the work and all Donghae had to do was be around him and he forgot his worries. When he was around Kibum he forgot to love Eunhyuk, even if it was only for a moment.
“I don’t know.” Donghae paused as Eunhyuk held his breath. “All I know is that it has to be him.” It can’t be you. This last line Donghae kept to himself. With that he left the apartment and went out. He needed a moment alone to think.

At the bar he sat alone drinking soju and looking back to the way it was before he fell in love with his best friend. They had been like brothers, completely inseparable. They had told each other everything and shared every part of their lives.

At the apartment Eunhyuk was pacing to and fro waiting for Donghae to come back. It was past 1 in the morning and Eunhyuk fought the urge to call Kibum to check to see if Donghae was with him. Just as he was losing the fight his phone rang,
“Hello,”
“Hello, your friend is at the bar and the club is about to close. I found your number in his phone.”
Eunhyuk got the address of the club from the bartender and then immediately got into his car to go fetch Donghae.
He found him passed out at the bar and it took some muscle to get him out of the bar and into the car. The Donghae slept the whole drive back. When they got back to the apartment Eunhyuk tried to move Donghae into his bed. As he was removing Donghae’s shoes, he heard a soft voice call out; “Hyukkie.” It had been a while since he’d heard Donghae refer to him like that, “Yes Donghae,”
