“I don’t understand. I thought you liked my friends.”

“I do, its just that…I… I don’t trust that guy.” 

Donghae shook his head, clearly confused “What’s wrong with Kibum?”

“I just… I don’t like the way he looks at you. I don’t trust it.” Donghae let out a loud sigh as he sat down on the bed that Eunhyuk was using over his trip. “Hyukkie, I really like Kibum, and you… you’re one of the most important people in my life, and he’s become very important to me as well. I want you to like each other. I want two of the most important people in my life to get along. Can you try?” Donghae looked up at Eunhyuk who was standing against the door frame. 

“I’ll… I’ll try, if it’ll make you happy I’ll try.” With that Donghae jumped up to hug his best friend. 

“Thank you Hyukkie” Donghae walked out of the room to go make them breakfast shouting back as he entered the kitchen. “Kibum and I always have lunch together on Sundays, do you want to join us?”

Eunhyuk thought for a moment before raising his voice to respond; “I don’t think so, there are some people I still haven’t seen. I should probably go catch up with them.”

“Ok, I’ll give you the spare key, in case you come home before I do.

Lunch was at the usual place, their favorite spaghetti place. As usual Donghae and Kibum got different things and spent most of lunch eating out of each other’s plates. “So…Hae.”

Donghae looked up to Kibum, “Yeah?” Kibum played around with the food on his plate for a while before looking up to continue, “I was thinking. I like you…” He paused

“I know that, and I like you too.”

“Yes, and I know that you like Eunhyuk too. And that’s why I’ve… We’ve waited so long before taking the next step and…”

Donghae opened his mouth to reply but Kibum continued on “I love you. And I will will wait for as long as you need me to wait but… I need to know that I’m not waiting for someone who’s always going to be waiting for someone else.” With that they sat quietly for a while before Donghae stood and walked to Kibum’s seat. He leaned forward to kiss his lips. He then took his hand in his still leaning towards him. “Kibummie, I know I’ve made you wait.
