Inevitable—was the word Chan Yeol associated with her. Their meeting was not something he could say unavoidable, however falling in love with her, was.
For Chan Yeol, she was the epitome of his youth. The glue that hold him of the past—of who he really was and the present— of who he was becoming to be. In the past, he would stare at her with such amusement etched on his face, like the first snow of winter. They were happy. Life was simple back then, when all they could think of was marrying each other and live to infinite bliss. Four years later, here they are, sitting in a table for two at their favorite café—seeing pass through each other. The coffee was getting cold in her hands. It was bitter and this moment felt different. She watches him drink his own cup, trying to figure out what he was thinking. “Where do you see yourself in three years?” He begins. She thought hard, even though the answer was right in front of them. He sees himself playing at the Seoul Olympic Park with a guitar on his hands, singing his self-composed songs with full passion pouring his soul and heart on it. She sees herself, in Tokyo, in London, in Milan, and even in Beijing—fulfilling her dream as professional travel blogger. “Will you stay with me?” He asks. She smiles gently, tilting her head sideways. Her hand reaches out to take his. It could have been absolutely sweet, it could have made everything so perfect, but her wretched expression gave it away. “I want to see the world Chan Yeol.
