Yifan tried. He really did. He tried to give up on having feelings for Yixing but it wasn’t an easy as he thought. Especially because Yixing had started being normal to him again. Not as normal as he was in the trainee days but at least he wasn’t being cold to him.

Yifan didn’t know what to feel. He tried to picture that night over and over so that it would be easier not to love Yixing but then he automatically remembered all the times Yixing had forgiven him. And that made it worse. And with the way Yixing was behaving with him, he was falling in love all over again.

The shoot for Showtime had finished and they were given a few days rest before they started the shoot for Overdose. They were allowed to leave the practice earlier than their usual time so Lu Han and Yixing went out for drinks. He was worried. Worried that Yixing would meet someone there, but he didn’t say anything.

Lu Han came back at around 1:00 a.m and Yifan would be lying if he said he wasn’t waiting up for Yixing.

“He’ll be back soon, so go to sleep.” Lu Han said as he walked to his own room.

“No, I wasn’t waiting for him, I was just looking through these-” Yifan said gesturing to the laptop placed on the dining table.

“I know what you’re doing, Kris.” Lu Han interrupted with a smile. He was drunk, definitely but not enough to give him a lecture about how Yifan broke Yixing’s heart and blah blah.

Yifan waited for another hour. And he was going to keep waiting, so he decided to make himself a cup of coffee and as he started, he felt an arm wrap around his waist and a head lean against his back and he startled, almost dropping his mug.

“I didn’t hear you come in.” Yifan said, not moving, afraid Yixing would let go of him.

“I’m quite. Like a ninja.” Yixing said as he giggled and nuzzled his nose against Yifan’s back.

“Sure.” Yifan chuckled.

“You’re so tall!” Yixing exclaimed, as he tiptoed try to rest his head on Yifan’s shoulder but gave up and rest his head back against Yifan’s back. “Why are you such a giant?”

“I’m not a giant! You’re the short one!” Yifan exclaimed. They stood like that for a moment, not moving an inch and Yifan tried to tell himself that Yixing was drunk, and he would forget everything and there was no point to anything that was going to happen that night.

Yifan felt a tear drop roll against his back and he turned around. Yixing moved back and Yifan saw that Yixing was wearing the YY locket, with a different chain, though.

“I’m sorry.” Yixing said as noticed Yifan looking at the necklace. “I’m so sorry, I was so angry and I couldn’t help but pull it and then it broke and I’m so sorry.” Yixing had started to cry now. The few tears had become sobs.

“Hey,” Yifan said as wiped Yixing’s tear with his thumb. “Hey, it’s okay.”

Yixing held Yifan’s hand and pressed it against his own cheek. “It’s not! I shouldn’t have done that! I was angry but I shouldn’t have done that! I shouldn’t have broken the chain, I shouldn’t have kissed Jongdae, I mean he’s not even into guys! And I should never have broken up with you.”

Yifan froze, he knew this was going to happen, but he tried to tell himself again, Yixing was drunk. He doesn’t know what he’s saying. But couldn’t help but wrap his hands around him and hug him back when the shorter one pressed himself against Yifan.

“I am so sorry. I love you so much. I am a horrible human being.” Yixing said as he cried against Yifan’s shirt.

“You’re not a horrible human being, Yixing. Don’t say that.” Yifan said as he rested his head on Yixing’s.

“I am! You had made a mistake and you were drunk. I, I was in my senses. I-I don’t know what happened. One minute, I was standing with Jongdae talking about completely random things  and the other minute we were kissing.” Yixing sobbed. “I’m so sorry, Yifan. I love you and I promise this will never happen again. Just love
