"If Rapmon got his name from rap monster, the I could go for the name kaimon or dancemon. Kai the dancing monster, you get the logic?" Kai blurted out laughing with his lame joke. 

 

"Kaimon sounds like a new breed of pokemon or digimon. So stop being cool or you'll hurt yourself." Kris rolls his eyes while driving. 

 

"I think I knew just the right name and that will be 'Burning Kkamjong' what did you think? It suits right? Ouch!" Chanyeol is now being attack by Kai over his funny suggestion and they all laugh. They knew Kai doesn't want to be called kkamjong because of the stupid nickname that they created based from his tan complexion and real name.

 

They are now headed to the school festival held at the school of Bang Yongguk and of course, just like what Kai wants, they decided to push their luck and joins the competition to just show off to D.O's friends what they've got. Kai just said to impress some girls and let the weirdo's sulk when they win but they all knew what he wants. And when he wants it, he'll do everything to get it and can be more stubborn than Sehun if he wants to and the others, Lay, Kris and Sehun tags along with a little bribery, or a lot.

 

" Here we are! Look there is D.O!" Sehun shouted and runs towards him when he spotted the doe eyed man with his friends hyungs, Rapmon, and Jin. 

 

"Hey D.O! How I miss you hyung!!" Sehun hugs him tightly after he bows politely to the older two. It caught D.O to blush st the sudden contact but pats him back to indicate he also miss him back. Sehun recalls Luhan's story about the other and retracts when Kai and the his hyungs came rushing to them. On the other car that follows them came out Baekhyun and the others. 

 

Kai's eyes went wide when he saw D.O rushing towards him but whines when the smaller passes just right him and hugs Baekhyun tightly. 

 

"Hyung!!!!" He hugs the brunette tightly and he chuckles seeing his brother being affectionate to him. 

 

"Hey there! I miss you too silly. Are you alright now?" He ruffles his hair playfully and he felt him slowly nod his hair in answer.

 

"Thank you for keeping my brother safe and sound. What can I do to repay you guys?" Baekhyun hugs his brother to his side and greets the two. 

 

"No need. Besides, the mere fact that he was our cook is fair enough." Rapmon smile sincerely to them. 

 

"Hey, where are your friends D.O? I thought you guys are very close?" Kai asks.

 

"Oh, Kookie and the guys are preparing in the back stage. How about you guys? Who will join in the competition?" D.O asks.

 

"Well it's me, Kris, Sehun, Chanyeol and Lay. How about you Kookie's? They are only four, who's the other one?" Kai asks. 

 

"It's Suga. He is two years ahead of them and they are practicing very well with their performance for this afternoon since Suga just learn it yesterday. He has a make up lesson and was disappointed when he knee that the boysccan't dance because of the lacking one member. Since he is very fond with Kookie and they need one more member,they just went to Suga after a lot of bribery." Rapmon joins in the conversation. 

 

"Really? So I will root for my adoptive brother like. " Baekhyun smiles then laughs with them. 

 

"He would love that. Why don't you get a seat before the performance and i'll grab something to eat." Jin smiles at them with his eyes forming a crescent look before turning away. 

 

At their seat, D.O is seated with Xiumin, Tao, Suho, Chen and Chanyeol on his left while on his right is Baekhyun with Rapmon and Jin talking about stuffs. 

 

"Uhmm... Are you sure Lay hyung will ne okay with the dance?" D.O asks hesitantly. 

 

"He is fine. He maybe a little timid and aloof outside but when he is dancing, he becomes a different person. Just wait and see." Chen assures him and pats his hand residing at the chair when host for the event shows up indicating the start of performance.

 

"You really did join huh?!? Tough luck but we will get it tonight." Jimin boasts towards Kai. 

 

"No, we will be the one who will nail it. And why do you have an older person with you? You will get disqualify if they found out." Kai said.

 

"Oh really? But I also studied in this school so stop whinnying and let's just enjoy the performance. I'm only here because I want to graduate with Kookie and the others that is why I always fail some subjects here." Suga said. 

 

"Just how old are you?" Sehun widen his eyes in the information.

 

"You can say I'm 24 and my friends here is 21 just like D.O except Kookie here is 19 since he is accelerated." Suga explains.

 

"Oh... we are also on their range except Kris and Lay are 23 and the maknae Sehun and Kai are 20." Chanyeol informs.

 

"Doesn't matter! Oh, looks like we will go ahead with you. Watch us!" J hope teases and the four goes to the stage after a quick playful smirk.

 

"They really get on my nerves. Kai is right. They are all pain in the ." Chanyeol states while being irritated when J hope rudely answers him back.

 

"Maybe if you guys just play it simple and not too over acting with their friend, you guys can tag along with each other." Kris logically said.

 

" I don't think so. Let's just watch them. Hey Lay hyung! Stop listening to your phone and let's see the others performance." Sehun starts to get close to the relaxing hyung which have his earphone on his ears while nodding with close eyes to the sound of his phone but Kris stops his.

 

"Let him. You know him well." Kris grabs Sehun's arm and he just said 'okay' as they watch the guys.

 

They called themselves Bangtan boys as the announcer told them and to think that they are all flowing with much charisma especially when that short Jimin purposely reveals some of his muscles and abs making the girls in the crowd go wild. They all dance to the tune of 'bullet proof' with that some gangster style song and ended with a cool choreography dance showdown at the end. When they all end up their performance with a loud cheer, they mouthed 'goodluck' to the boys and pats their shoulders in a teasing manner.

 

" Let's get it on guys!" Lay suddenly stands up when they are called out the stage making them all smile as they come to the stage.

 

The lights went off and they dance gracefully to the tune of 'Lucifer' which also makes the crowd go wild

 To the judges, it'll be to hard to judge the different contestant with different genre and all dance gracefully. When it is time for tallying the score, both groups went to a certain spot near the stage together with their companies.

 

"Wow! I didn't think you guys are awesome dancers. Especially Lay here. He really is different when performing on stage, what a complete 360 shift." Suho remarks at them giving his best smile that can creep the others out and tapping Lay's shoulders.

 

" Oh.. yeah. Many told me that but afterwards I can't even remember what I did afterwards so I make Chen record it for me." His dimple is now showing. Before Kai can go to Kyungsoo, the four competitors shove him aside so they can go to him first.

 

"Have you seen our dance hyungiwisoqiwiwowowuwuwqpwie? We really do a good job there huh?" Kookie asks D.O anticipately waits for his answer.

 

"Y..yeah. I really think the cap thing was cool and the knee drop that J hope shown was exemplary." D.O smiles as he praise the other guys.

 

"Hey what about us?!" The other starts to bug D.O and Rapmon starts to wave them back to the stage.

 

"You all did well now go back to the stage before they all disqualify you 'coz they are ready to announce the winner. Goodluck to you all and even you don't remember we exist, you did great." Rapmon gestures him and Jin which makes them blush at the embarrassment and bows their head apologetically.

 

"Now run along before I throw you there!" Rapmon threatens them and they all went to the stage tuggung the frustrated Kai along.

 

"They really are bunch of whiny brats. But sometimes, just a little threat or correct words will make them obey you." Jin comments earning a nod and chuckles from Suho, Baekhyun and Xiumin while they wait for the annoucement.

They are now eating on one of the restaurant inside the campus. A huge laugh can be heard from the group compose of Kai, Lay, Suho, Xiumin, Jin, Jimin, Kookie Rapmon and Chanyeol. Also, you can see a frowning face evident from both dance competitors. It seems that they are tie in the first runner up position which means the winner is somewhere else.

 

"I can't believe we are defeated by a bunch of acrobats. Is this called a fair fight? They are like performers in a circus with all that back flip and somersaults." Kai protested.

 

"Yeah, like how come they are named got7 when they are only 5 in the first place? I think the judges went too far for the festival feeling it went like a carnaval." Jhope continues. 

 

"Stop whining just becoz' you guys don't get the trophy. What matter most is you guys enjoy it right?" Rapmon stated to them making them whine again.

 

"Still a defeat is a defeat. I should have go for another person. I think we got badluck 'coz of Suga hyung. " Jimin teases the elder.

 

"Yeah right. How about your act while dancing? Maybe they found out that was too gross that makes us deduct some points." Suga attacks Jimin.

 

"Oh yeah, how about I tell you about what is disgusting when you try to eat Kookie's frie..." 

 

"Stop it I said." Rapmon slams a hand on the table making them all flinch.

 

Sorry was the thing the whining guys said fearing the red haired man.

 

"Geez, Sorry for the wait. We've got the Ice cream Did we miss something?" Baekhyun asks when he, V,and D.O arrives at the place. 

 

"We've got some bubble tea here. It looks like we are just in time for the feast." Sehun excitedly announce together Kris and Chen when they arrived. 

 

"Oh, nothing seriously. Did you guys really buy bubble for Sehun? Geez, you are spoiling him too much." Chanyeol teases.

 

"Nah, I am just loved by them and you are just jelous." He stuck his tongue out. 

"Yah!" Chanyeol tries to whack him but stop when he widens his eyes at Baekhyun and V. 

 

"Hey, seat here hyung!" The three J said with Kai in unison. 

 

"I think he will be better if you seat here with me and I don't like refusal." Suga holds D.O with his hand on his shoulder protectively as Kookie glares Suga.

 

"Okay, I guess. Thanks Suga hyung." D.O pick the seat in between him and Kookie.

 

" Hey, I just have a question to you D.O, you see, we have a simple project about mythical or mysterious creature like vampires and werewolves."

 

The vampires (and half) and the hunters stiffen at the milky skin's remarks that caught their attention.

 

"I was wondering, if you are trap in a place with both vampire and werewolves, which do you prefer to be accompanied with?" Suga looks at the boy with serious face that makes him thinks.

 

"What kind of question is that hyung?! You know you don't need to answer that D.O hyung." Kookie insists at the stupid question Suga throws out.

 

"It is just a question thrown by our professor so I just get curious. What if they start to get aggressive, which bite will you prefer?" His tone of voice is playful yet just inquiring.

 

"Well, I think.... I ... I prefer vampires than weres because wolves are more playful that vampires?" The last words seems to be a question.

 

"That is the only reason?" J-hope asks seriously.

 

"Well, I think vampires are the most logical ones and they can always be talk to and easier to deal with. From what I've heard and read, wolves are hard to deal with when they are angered or starving." D.O answers innocently earning a chuckle from Rapmon, Jin and Suga and a pout from the from the others.

 

"What? Did..did I say something wrong?" He blinks cutely.

 

"Nothing! I can't believe you answer that sincerely. Let's just eat." Rapmon chuckles.

 

After finishing their meal, Chanyeol decided to open a conversation.

 

 "Gosh, you really are look a like. Are you brothers or something?" he said in disbelieve towards Baekhyun and V.

 

"Of course not. He is my son." Baekhyun rolls his eye and saw the hunters eyes become wide while hearing some chuckles.

 

"Really? But, I thought you are single." Chen exclaims.

 

"Of course, now here comes my other dad. Hi dad!" V playfully went to Daehyun who just roll his eyes like he knew V is playing then hugs him.

 

" Kim Taehyun, if you are playing another trick of us with Mr. Byun as family quit it before I regret giving you high score on your project." The said guy warns V who just gulps and release his hold.

 

"No, we are not even a family. We just look a like that's all." Daehyun announces before the tricked guys speak.

 

" Mr. Byun Baekhyun, can I talk to you for a second regarding the something." The professor Daehyun politely asks and Baekhyun nods.

 

" Yup. I'll be right back." Baek assures leaving them behind.

 

"Well, we better get going 'coz we still have some job to do. " Rapmon said after placing the napkin down and politely excuse himself and his so called kids. When they are outside the restaurant, D.O just forgot to thank and tell something to Kookie so he ask permission to meet his friend while accompanied by Kai and Chanyeol.

 

When they saw Suga and Kookie they approach them quickly.

 

" ...told you to back off!" Kookie irritatedly stomps his feet at his hyung.

 

"But I can't that thing is too gullible, innocent and cute I might think I want h..." Before Suga can finish he was harshly pulled by his shirt and shove his back against their car while laughing crazy.

 

"Don't you dare!" Kookie spats venomously. Then he let go when he saw his friend. "did you just heard anything?" the younger widen his eyes on the older which simply shook his head.

 

" Don't worry, I've just stop by to personally greet you guys and are you guys ... uhm... figthing over.. a puppy or a pet perhaps?" D.O blinks innocently and the two just release a sigh then laughs. 

 

"Y.yeah. No need to worry. We just have a little understanding here Bambi." Suga pats and then ruffles his hair but stop when Kai and Chanyeol pulls him away.

 

"Hey! No skinship in front of us!" Kai pouted towards them earning a serious face from Suga and Kookie. 

 

"Guys, we need to...oh.. hi there Bambi and his friends. Is there anything we can do for you?" V appears out of nowhere.

 

"Nothing really, we just drop by because D.O wants to say thank you." Chanyeol answers for them.

 

"Jinja?? Nah... we are always here for you as you know and if anyone or something bothers you again, feel free to open up." V smiles similar to Baekhyun which creeps Kai and Chanyeol.

 

"I'm fine. Thank you again. We better go or Baek hyung will get mad at us. See you later." He bows down and the two follows him then leaves.

 

"See? I told you he is gullible, innocent and cute. I want to taste him." Suga his lips and a tint of red eyes can be seen making the two shudder and felt angry.

 

"Fangs off!!" the maknae and alien V scold him.

Kai and Sehun decided to be next to D.O even after the ride to home. When they enter the house Tao and Luhan are speaking in the language they know as Chinese but what reminds them is that they can't understand a thing.

 

"I didn't know you guys can speak Chinese." Lay brightly asks.

 

Well, you guys never asks in the first place. Hey Baek, did Yongguk give us a mission. I can't find my intel anywhere and I am getting worried." Luhan looks towards to the diva.

 

'In fact, there is and he wants to talk to you." Baekhyun replies as the newly arrived group settle at the sofa and Tao clicks the remote seeing the face of Yongguk.

 

"That took you long enough. I'm sorry to inform you guys but something came up and also it concerns your intel Luhan." The man apologizes as he cross his hand at the table.

 

"I knew it. You sent him out to do the sleuthing job when you know he is already in our pack." Luhan slams a fist to the glass table making the occupant flinched. 

 

"We have no choice and now she is in trouble. You sent her out to find some clues and whereabouts of the inventories missing in the doll factory and it turns out to be that she found something else but before she can tell us the details, her commumication is lost." Yongguks informs them.

 

"Where is she?" Xiumim asks.

 

At a certain mining spot near a mountain. It seems that there are more then mining that happens at there. I remember her telling something about ogres and stuff. She said there is a lot of magic going between the mines and she can't easily go out. She said she cannot teleport out and that is why you need to get her out." He orders.

 

"YOU send a MERMAID off to a mine! Are you insane?!?!" D.O freaked out of the information also making the humans widen their eyes. They didn't know what is more shocking. A mermaid or D.O freaking out.

 

"Sorry but as I have said, she is the only intel available. Much better if you get D.O into this one. The location of the place is passed by Dae to Baek, the easier you locate it, the more faster you can help help." He snaps the communication off.

 

"Geez, a cliff hanger as always." Tao grumpily said.

 

"I think we should head out. Why would they want to get D.O out when he is very helpful at a place like that?" Xiumin asks.

 

 "No need to argue then. We will head out after a few hours and D.O can stay at home with Lay, Chanyeol, and Sehun . The rest, will go to the mining with us. Be sure to accompany him well. " Luhan orders and before the others can protest or ask question, they all move out.

 

Luhan suddenly grabs D.O's arms making him turn around in a questioning manner.

 

"I want to go save Noona." D.O said.

 

"No need. We can handle it. And you are grounded 'coz you didn't tell us what happens to your school. You could have tell us but you don't so that is your bad." Luhan face the doe eyed boy and grabs his arms and pulls the sweater from his arms up to his shoulder making the other winced in pain.

 

"See?! You didn't even told us and ask for help. I could understand if you told Baekhyun all about it but you just keep mum all about it and let your friends burden by it. You've been bullied and your professor nearly violated you and you don't dare to tell us" D.O's eyes is now teary and he pulls his hands off.

 

"I... I didn't tell them also. It..It is just that V and the others found out when they accidentally enters the room and also in the alley. Besides, Yongguk hyung even ask me to help" D.O felt ashame of himself and starts to feel the room is getting narrower. 

 

"Yeah right. Go to your room and reflect on what you did." Luhan gestures for him to go upstairs and D.O rushes towards it with a large slam. Baekhyun felt the guilt and dismay at the same time. He forgot that Luhan has the ability to read minds and he thought he can keep it from the others bit Luhan announces it to the public so he rushes toward his brother before he make a turn and face the older.

 

"You could have said it personally and not broadcast it. And by the way, I don't want to be in this mission anymore. It seems that D.O is not he only one who needs to do the reflecting." 

 

Luhan felt he is poured by cold water by his action and words. He looks down the floor and Xiumin clasps a hand on his shoulders ask if he is okay.

 

"We will head out without Baekhyun. Now let's prepare." Luhan just orders firmly. It was a matter of 30 minutes finish packing because Yongguk provides them bags for the trip.

Baekhyun is now comforting his crying brother. He rubs his hand on the younger's back while he is crying at his chest.

 

"Shhh..... It's not your fault. I just forgot to tell hyung okay. He is just depressed. Just rest for a while while I find food." After a series of sobs and small whimper, D.O calmed down and nods. 

 

"I..i'm such a burden. I want to help noona but Luhan hyung doesn't allow me too. I can help too." he whines.

 

"Yeah, I know. I know. Good thing before your damn professor can harass you because I will personally kill him." Baek spats.

 

"Hyung!" 

 

"Fine. Atleast someone do the job for me and also scared the out of the bullies asses." Baek tries to lighten up the mode but he saw the boy become teary eyed again indicating it is not a good idea so he went of to the kitchen.

 

He sensed another person approaching him but he paid no attention because he knew it was Chanyeol from the smell and footstep.

 

"Can I help you with anything?" The tall giant asks.

 

"Nah.. just trying to find anything to eat for my little brother. I'm fine." Baek shrugs while he is searching something to cook in the refrigerator.

 

"Okay." The tall man turns around and Baek grunts and turns to the retreating man.

 

"Ugghh.. fine. I do need your help. Do you perhaps know how to cook?" Baekhyun asks in annoyance.

 

"Uhmm.. in fact, yes. Here, lemme help you." Chanyeol offers to help him prepare. A small chuckle escape from his mouth when he learned that the diva like vampire doesn't even know how to cook so he take over. It is so funny to think that Baekhyun become so concern about D.O even he is just a step brother to him but he also knew that he is not doing it out of pity. 

 

Once Chanyeol is done with the food, the Sehun and Lay came to the kitchen and sat beside Baekhyun who distracted on his train of thought to notice the two and failed to see Chanyeol is finished cooking. 

 

"A penny for your thought?" Lay speaks making Baekhyun go back to reality.

 

"What? Sorry.. i wasn't paying attention." Baekhyun was caught off guard. Before the three could give a speech, D.O comes to the kitchen with swollen eyes and bows his head.

 

"I...i.. just want to say sorry for the trouble I've caused you all. It will not happen again." D.O apologizes to them and he look so cute and he hugs his brother.

 

Meanwhile, the three resist the urge to hug the boy but when Baekhyun notice, he allows them and they all go for a group hug.

 

"How many times will I have to tell you it is not your fault. Let's forget about it and eat Chanyeol's cooking before it gets cold." Baekhyun urges the doe eyed to eat.

 

After finishing their meal with a civil conversation, D.O helps to wash the dishes together with Baekhyun and the three are watching evening show.

 

"Baekhyun seems to be nice when you less his diva attitude don't you think?" Chanyeol opens up to the group.

 

"Yeah, so are the others but of course, except when training. Tao and Luhan are very strict." Sehun whines.

 

"Right. Too bad we can't join them in their mission today. I want to join their hunt." Lay pouts.

 

"Of course we can." Baekhyun and D.O suddenly appears out of nowhere.

 

"I thought we cannot join them." Sehun asks.

 

"Luhan just said to accompany D.O and he decided to go to the mines." Baekhyun reasoned.

 

"Luhan also said be at home." Chanyeol defended.

 

"Well, I'm in charge and I said we will go. So it's either you will go or stay. If your done thinking, just follow us or we'll leave you." Beak said. Before Chanyeol can speak, he noticed that his friends are all outside and he rushes out with them. 

 

 

"Wait up!!!" He said in panic.
