WEST

Once in a Lifetime

West

The direction where the sun settled down and the stars rise along with the moon...

A beautiful Cygnus sparkled on the night sky as a slightly tall boy moved his feet on the dirty small path beside the pine tree forest. After the rough night in the train station, he came here at last. The place where he spent the night every seconds. He stared at a building with half round roof standing proudly beside the hill. The starts twinkled on the night sky. Some of them looked bright while the others dimmed behind.

His lips curled up again, forming a smile like a bright star.

***

"Why are you work there Jongin?"

"I just don't have a home."

"You are homeless?! How about that apartment?"

"I have an apartment. But I have no place like home."

"Oh. That's sad."

"Not really. I love stars. Every time they are around, that's home for me."

***

Nothing worked like this boy's body. He was different from everybody. When everybody had such a nice fair skin, he stayed on the shadow, being the boy with mocha-toned skin that only looked brighter under the sun. While other people woke up in the morning and embrace the sun, he woke up at night and embraced the moonlight. Every people on the street always stared ahead or down their head, but he choose to stare up high to the sky, letting his neck muscle sore.

He let the sunshine let him to sleep that morning as he pulled the cover closer to his head. His feet felt the soft bed under his body and relaxed his mind. Yesterday night was quite cruel with the calculations but he didn't care. All those notes left in his bag was his master piece every time he worked on it. Soon his eyes closed, drifting his mind to the dreamland.

When you said about stars. What crossed your mind? They were cool, sparkling, and twinkling like a diamond. The brighter the light, the stronger it would dominate in the constellation.

But this boy knew that every stars shine for reasons that he didn't know.

Another boy opened his eyes and groaned loudly. With a slight quick move, he extended his hand and turned off the alarm. He lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling as he tried to gather the soul. Then he sat up, messily folded the blanket and put it on the pillow. He dragged his body to stand beside the bed and pulled the cover to tidy it up. Being the lazy he was, he just let it be. Suddenly he remembered and moved his feet to every lamp in his apartment, slightly turning it off.

He hated dark that much.

Night sky wasn't his favourite intention. After those scary nights in childhood, he didn't dare to sleep without any spark of light. A flood of memories rushed in his petite head like a film roll. A time when his parents locked him up in the closet, another time in the bathroom all night long without any single light.

He suffered the trauma for years until someone saved him. His saviour was his cousin, one year older than him. He was grateful that much. After dealing with the court in his mature age, the judges agreed to let him choose his life journey.

The owlish eyed boy learned about psychology as it was his brain to do so. He was interested in how people suffered because of their own mind. Even he had a fear too; it didn't stop him to become one of the best students out there. Now was his last year in college. A year to make something new from what he learned for years.

The last project made him crazy for two weeks straight. Thinking about the title was tiring his brain that much. He knew that he didn't have to think hard and just let his intuition guided him. But the date of the submission lingered on his mental calendar every second.

He needed to find something interesting.

***

Have you heard a person who was nocturnal? You heard it from animal channel only. But to a boy like Kim Jongin, being nocturnal was his speciality. His alarm rang at 6 pm. With the gentle thud on the button, he switched it off and got up from his bed. He managed to push himself to take a warm bath. To keep his body warm, he took the gray sweater and wore it after his shirt. Nothing was special in colour. He stayed in dark night colours, always.

Soon he was spotted walking beside the shops and restaurants. He needed to have dinner first. Thinking about gamjatang or jajangmyun made him hungry so he just entered his usual restaurant just to see it quiet crowded. He seated himself at the corner and waited for the waiter to come.

"Good night Jongin," A cheerful voice heard as he looked up to see a small built man with his sparkling eyes holding the note along with the pen to take his order.

"Good night, Luhan hyung. I think I want gamjatang this time," Jongin replied right away with his usual monotone voice.

"I will bring it right away," The waiter named Luhan nodded and went away with Jongin's order.

The boy sighed and waited for his food. He was quite relieved to know Luhan because the waiter just friendly and understood him. They often talked sometimes. But due to the crowded dinner situation, he didn't want to interrupt Luhan. Being the constant person, he always came here every night just to have dinner before going to work.

Jongin stared blankly onto to the front when Luhan put the gamjatang on the table. The younger stared in shock to see two cups of coffee beside the plate.

"You need to sleep normally, Jongin," Luhan stated while pointing at the coffee.

"I will, someday," Jongin smiled and understood the meaning of the coffee.

"I need to work again. See you tomorrow," Luhan waved goodbye while Jongin took the spoon to eat and replied with a smile.

The person that talked to him was always Luhan. Whenever he wasn't that busy, he came and sat with Jongin. They simply talked about everything. Mostly, Luhan dominated the conversation but Jongin sometimes asked him questions too. He was grateful that Luhan cared about him. He knew that Luhan wasn't faking any intention.

Empty plate presented in front of Jongin as he drank and stood up to go to work. He glanced at Luhan who waved him goodbye. His lips curled up to a smile, responding to Luhan before going outside.

He just walked few centimetres from the restaurant as he saw a figure, limping in the darkness. A drunker, he thought as he passed by the man. A smell of blood rushed to his nose and he froze. Was this man hurt? He turned around and quickly caught his body before he landed onto the ground. Jongin glanced around, found nobody to ask for help.

Luhan hyung.

He remembered and returned to the restaurant with the injured man. The restaurant wasn't that full anymore. He kept staring to Luhan, simply hoping that Luhan would see him and he did. Luhan sprinted towards Jongin who still hold the man.

"Who is he?" Luhan asked in confusion as he studied the figure.

"I don't know. He's injured. Can you please take care of him? I need to go to work. I'm sorry to disturb you hyung," Jongin sadly asked but Luhan was already busy examined the man's condition.

"I will. No need to worry, I will bring him to the waiter room first. You can go now Jongin. Don't be late," Luhan emphasized and Jongin nodded also turned away.

The cold night breeze surrounded him that way. He walked to a bus stop and waited for the second last bus. It wasn't that crowded so he could sit nicely. Being alone at night wasn't a new thing to his mind. Suddenly the light went off and on. He wasn't afraid at ghost or something but he was kinda freak out to hear about some robbers at night.

He heard footsteps near him and tensed up. If he died that night, it didn't matter actually. He didn't have any responsible in others. His parents were gone, staying with stars above. A figure appeared beside him, sitting neatly on the empty space. Jongin automatically turned his head to see that person.

His eyes widened to see a fair skin on a man's body. While his shoulders were broad, this man's narrow. The black coat wrapped his petite body with the black pants too. Jongin dared to look up and saw a different type of face that he usually saw. The man's eyes were big and his lips were plump thick. His cheeks were pink due to the cold temperature. Such a contrast features between Jongin and that mysterious man.

Jongin saw the sparks on the man's eyes. They were brown but twinkling under the dim light in the bus stop. There just two of them that time.

'Cause your sky, 'cause your sky, full of stars.

He jolted upon the voice. It was the best voice he ever heard in his life. Jongin knew the song because he liked to hear everything related to stars. His ears couldn't stop listening to the song as the man moved his lips to sing it.

"Excuse me?" a voice made Jongin snapped and gained his consciousness.

Crap, he was staring closely for a long time until the man realized his presence. Jongin drifted his gaze away but the man didn't surrender.

"Sorry to disturb you," The man spoke with a sad tone.

"No! You're not," Jongin blurted out in sudden, making the man chuckled.

A light visible in front of them. The bus stopped and Jongin needed to go.

"I need to go first," Jongin stated as the man nodded.

He stared around but found no one there beside him and this man. There was no way he would leave this man alone. Some bad guys could kidnap and him. He decided to sit back and the man crooked his eyebrows, questioning Jongin's unpredictable move.

"Is that the last bus?" He asked Jongin.

"Don't worry. You should wait for your bus," Jongin replied and they engulfed in night silence once again.

Few minutes later, another bus came and the man stood up. But when he walked to get onto the bus, he turned around to face Jongin.

"I'm Do Kyung Soo. I'm going first, thank you," The man said and he entered the bus right after that, didn't gave Jongin a time to reply.

Jongin let his curiosity drowned him in. The bus ride seemed fast because he thought about another things besides watching the closed shops and restaurants. He stopped at the last bus stop at the edge of the city. There were no crowded shops again. The pine forest showed him the path and he walked alone between it until he reached the building.

The conservatorium, a place where he spent every night showed up ahead.

It wasn't white anymore through times but he didn't care. The place seemed old but full of mysteries from time to time. His favourite huge telescope greeted him as he entered the building. Jongin walked straight to his table while staring around. His partner wasn't there yet.

The quiet man named Chanyeol was his friend in this observatory. Tall figure with elf ears that noticed Jongin at the first place was a calm person with wide knowledge about the stars. They often discussed about constellations and planets or calculating the eclipse time.

He heard a soft sound of open door and turned around to see a tall lanky man entered the place. Jongin couldn't help but chuckle a bit when he slipped a little before arriving to his table.

"Good night," Jongin greeted and Chanyeol jolted a bit, shocked by the sudden voice.

"Oh night Jongin," a deep rich voice echoed in the room.

They both sat on their place and started looking at the sky. Jongin took the chair and pulled it under the huge telescope. He saw three stars which lined up nicely beneath the other stars. A belt of Orion. His favourite constellation. Beside Orion there was Taurus. Oh, he saw another one, Monoceros, Unicorn's name in Greek Mythology.

"How is the sky?" Chanyeol asked.

"It's beautiful," Jongin answered dreamily.

"Agree," He replied.

"Is there something that bothering you?" Jongin noticed Chanyeol's different responses.

"I found an interesting Taurus," Chanyeol said and Jongin froze in instant.

The shadow of the man named Do Kyung Soo popped up in his mind when Chanyeol told that he met someone and silently wondered what his zodiac or such.

Chanyeol continued his story. He said that he found that someone in a cafè when he wanted to have coffees for tonight. He was bright with puppy eyes and cheerful voice. Jongin was glad to see the spark in his partner's eyes.

"Do you want to see him again?" Jongin's question lifted Chanyeol's lips up, forming a graceful smile that warmed the cold night breeze.

"Of course."

That night, they continued to explore the night sky. Jongin shocked to see Chanyeol talked much. He was glad to see Chanyeol's spirit again. He was once a bubbly man but after his bastard boyfriend left him, he was quiet for a long time, burying himself in the observatory.

The sun started to show up and they stared at the clock. 5 am and counting to the sunrise. Their work was over at 6 am so Chanyeol decided to pack his things. Jongin yawned and did the same with his belongings. They both walked together to the bus stop and admired the pine forest in a fine morning.

Jongin took the first bus to the same bus stop in the night before. It always be his routine acts after these years. Few hours of waiting and now he went off to see people crowded on the street, walking to their offices or cafès. Due to the crowded street, he bumped successfully to a smaller person and lost his balance.

"Sorry," he heard a familiar voice and quickly looked up to see the speaker.

"You?" Jongin's mouth opened automatically to see the same man he met last night.

***

Do Kyung Soo opened his eyes again that early morning. He couldn't sleep well last night but woke up that early. His body felt sore as he dragged himself up to take a warm bath. Another day in the class. It's not that he hated to learn, but the boring ways made him sleepy all the time. But since he found something interesting, he better think about it.

It was started when he went home alone due to his project about phobias. He didn't like to deal with the dark so he kept his earphone and walked faster to the bus stop. The night wind tickled his senses, made him shivered through the slight mist. He was near to the bus stop but froze right away because of another person there.

He needed to be brave to go home so he walked nearer. Kyung Soo almost gasped in shock to see someone, 180 degrees different than him with his tanned-skin and strong jaw lines sat there, like waiting for his bus. Kyung Soo wiped the thought of every possible thing that this boy could do to him. Seemed that he was nice enough so Kyung Soo sat along.

A song from Coldplay echoed in his mind. He never liked any Coldplay songs but this one attracted his music favour. Sky Full of Stars started to reach the chorus and he couldn't help but sing along the lyrics.

Few minutes later, a bus came and he saw the boy sitting next to him stood up, like he was going to leave. But later, Kyung Soo found him back on his seat. He never saw someone like this so he decided to pull his earphone out because he felt the stares from the boy towards him.

"Excuse me?" Kyung Soo decided to ask because when he turned around, he could see the boy staring at him intensely like a prey.

With that gorgeous appearance, Kyung Soo could saw another calm sparks in his eyes. This boy was surely interesting to deal with. He was kinda rude to brag him like that.

"Sorry to disturb you," Kyung Soo said again because he knew that the boy must be sad or guilty.

"No! You're not," The boy quickly said as Kyung Soo couldn't help but chuckled a bit.

A light visible in front of them. The bus stopped and the boy stood up from his seat.

"I need to go first," The tanned boy said as Kyung Soo only nodded.

Kyung Soo saw the boy stood up and stared around. Then he shook his head and sat again. What was his intention? The future psychologist noticed the slight attention to him.

"Is that the last bus?" He asked the boy.

"Don't worry. You should wait for your bus," The latter answered casually.

Few minutes later, another bus came and Kyung Soo stood up. But when he walked to get onto the bus, he turned around to face the boy and decided to introduce himself.

"I'm Do Kyung Soo. I'm going first, thank you," He simply said and got onto the bus.

He quickly sat beside the window to see the boy who was still there. His lips lifted up, forming a smile. Such an interesting nice person, he thought as the night lamps attracted his vision.

Soon, he reached his apartment and slump his body to the couch. Another tiring day with classes. Uh, he loved it but why was so hard to work on everything. The urge to deal with the projects was gone and he closed his eyes, drowning to dreamland.

An intro of a song began chattering as Kyung Soo rolled to the other side of his bed, completely lazy to wake up again. But for his sake of his study, he surrender and dragged himself to take a towel. Then he took the books and walked outside the apartment. The weather seemed nice and it cherished his mind a bit. He headed towards the usual bus stop he usually went.

The crowd increased and he was squished between people. His feet moved to the right flow so he could get there at last. Suddenly someone bumped him, quite hard until he backed away.

"Sorry," a voice heard and Kyung Soo looked up to meet two beautiful brown eyes stared at him, wide eyed.

"You?" He spoke again, leaving Kyung Soo's heart looped because of the sudden present.

Kyung Soo noticed that he was wearing the same clothes liked last night. His eyes seemed sleepy and he wondered why that was. They stared at each other for a while.

"I need to go," The boy awkwardly said as he wanted to walk passed Kyung Soo.

"Wait. Are you okay?" Kyung Soo quickly asked as the boy turned around.

"I'm fine?" The boy responded unsurely.

"You are wearing the same clothes like yesterday night," Kyung Soo wanted to slap himself mentally for asking such a private question.

Jongin was back on his senses because of this man. A silly statement blurted out from his plump lips and almost cracked him up. Of course he didn't change his clothes because he was working at night and back at morning to sleep.

"It's because of my work," Jongin shortly replied.

"Work?" Kyung Soo retored.

"I need to go, see you someday, Kyung Soo," He replied and walked away.

"Tell me your name!!" Kyung Soo shouted through the crowd and Jongin turned again.

"Kim Jongin!" He answered and raced to his place.

He groaned because yeah, he just shouted his name to a stranger he just met last night. Everything started to blur in front of his eyes because of the sleepiness. He went out from the bathroom, shirtless. The fluffy bed greeted him as he drifted himself to another space.

***

Maybe if you saw an Orion, you would feel safe because he was a great archer. The young Capricorn opened his eyes that night. The moonlight greeted lightly, made him moved his feet to the balcony. He hated the lamps because he couldn't see any stars because of that. A glimpse of a bright star made him hyped up in excitement.

A Sirius.

Jongin quickly shoved all his notebooks to his bag. His feet sprinted to the usual bus stop. He wanted to see the Sirius. He needed it. The boy speed up the pace until he saw someone sat on the bus stop waiting chair.

"Oh you again," the man named Kyung Soo greeted Jongin as the boy froze because of the cheerful voice between the cold night.

"Hello?" Jongin replied unsurely.

"Kim Jongin right?" Kyung Soo beamed.

"Yes I am," Jongin sat beside Kyung Soo.

The light wasn't that strong so he could see up to the sky. Jongin smiled to see the stars visible. He was so eager to see those stars through the telescope.

Kyung Soo noticed the eagerness in Jongin's eyes as he followed the boy's gaze to the sky. He saw some stars in the night sky and turned to Jongin again. The man saw Jongin's eyes sparkled in excitement.

"Do you like the stars?" Kyung Soo asked.

"Yes," Jongin dreamily said.

Jongin shocked because Kyung Soo was actually talked to him. He looked down, trying to ease his nervousness because he never talked to anyone beside Chanyeol.

"I see an Orion!" Kyung Soo chirped as Jongin almost gasped.

"You-You know stars?" Jongin blurted out.

"I don't know much. Only the Orion," Kyung Soo replied as he eyed Jongin's shock expression again.

The man chuckled to see the shy boy beside him. Being the psychologist major student made him curious of people's behaviour. His fatigue vanished away because of this boy's charm. He wanted to know more about Jongin.

He was interested, much.

"Actually, where do you work at?" Kyung Soo suddenly asked.

"I work in the observatory."

"For real?! So you want to go there now? You work in the night?" The curiosity engulfed him up.

"Yes. I work all the night time," Jongin couldn't help but smile a bit towards the cheerful man who warmed up the cold night.

"Can I go there?" Kyung Soo asked as Jongin jolted up a bit.

"I work all night there and you are not a night person," Jongin didn't want this man became sick because of the fatigues for not sleeping.

"Tomorrow is Saturday and I'm free to sleep all day. Can I go?" Kyung Soo beamed because he wanted to see the observatory again since he came there in his childhood.

"Fine then," Jongin drifted his gaze away to calm his heart beat down.

The bus came and Jongin stood up. The boy motioned Kyung Soo to hop in first. They managed to sit next to each other. Kyung Soo stared outside to see the closed shops and restaurants. But later, he awed the view of the pine forest because the bus reached the edge of the city. The last bust stop and they both stumbled out from the bus. Wordlessly, Jongin led Kyung Soo to a small path between the trees.

Kyung Soo began to feel the fear engulfed him because he didn't like darkness at all. He sprinted to get closer to Jongin. The boy suddenly stopped, making Kyung Soo's head bumped to his back.

Jongin turned around to see Kyung Soo stood right behind him. A visible fear gaze noticed by him as he extended his hand, offering it for Kyung Soo to take.

Kyung Soo stared at Jongin's hand for a while. He looked up to see Jongin's eyes asked him to lead him in the dark. The stars above shine brighter and light the way. The man stretched his hand too and put it on Jongin's bigger palm. His heart stopped when Jongin wrapped his hand. Their hands were perfect to each other.

That night, they both didn't dare to look at each other's eyes as they walked hand by hand.

A gate visible not long after the path beneath the forest. Kyung Soo studied the rusty steel of it. Seemed old but his curiosity took him as Jongin opened it slightly. The dry plants made Kyung Soo shivered because of the atmosphere seemed to quiet, too reserved.

Jongin stopped and Kyung Soo, who was looking at the unusual surroundings, shifted his head to stare at a building in front of them.

Half round roof with grey walls and circled windows. The door seemed old, made from wood. The man barely saw the colour because they came there at night. Jongin opened the door and told Kyung Soo to go inside first. Kyung Soo sadly turned down his hand from Jongin's and walked in. The huge telescope made him gasped in amusement. His small feet stepped closer to it, but he stopped because he didn't know how to use it.

"So you see the stars with this?" Kyung Soo chirped happily and looked around to see the tables.

"Jongin? Is that you?" A deep voice shocked Kyung Soo as he jolted in shock and ran to hide behind Jongin.

"Good night hyung. Yeah it's me," Jongin replied as a gigantic man showed up from the dark.

Chanyeol turned to someone behind Jongin and smiled a bit because he was small-built, perfectly different from him and Jongin.

"A visitor?" Chanyeol asked as Jongin motioned Kyung Soo to go greet the gigantic man.

"He-Hello. I'm Jongin's...," Kyung Soo stopped because he didn't know what to describe the awkward encounters between him and Jongin.

"He is my friend. Hyung, meet Chanyeol hyung," Jongin properly introduced them and Chanyeol lightly extended his hand.

"Kyung Soo, my name is Kyung Soo," Kyung Soo shook hands with Chanyeol formally and the night silence drowned them again.

"Should we start now, Jongin?" Chanyeol turned to Jongin who nodded.

"Hmm hyung, you can wander around but be careful," Jongin said but Kyung Soo was already run to see his surroundings and Chanyeol laughed to spot it.

"He is bright as the sun," Chanyeol commented.

"I am a moon," Jongin mumbled.

"Don't worry. The moon and the sun can meet in an eclipse," Chanyeol sat and began to analyze the star map he once made.

"Oh," Jongin went speechless because he blushed and dragged his feet to the table.

They couldn't help but chuckle to see Kyung Soo kept asking things regarding to stars or telescopes. Chanyeol gladly answered it all but Jongin watched him all the time. Kyung Soo's movements were bright and quirky, 180 degrees different from him. His eyes sparkled like the stars. The heart shaped smile formed on his lips cherished Jongin's dull feelings. He never saw someone so bright and he didn't mind to stay with him for a long time.

Kyung Soo twinkled like the stars in the night sky.

The night went fast just and Chanyeol pointed at the wall clock. Jongin noticed Kyung Soo's fatigue because the latter's movements wasn't that cheerful anymore. He took the older's wrist and stopped him from wandering around.

"Jongin?" Kyung Soo questioned his action.

"You are tired," Jongin concluded and Chanyeol crooked his eyebrows to see them.

Kyung Soo yawned, indirectly saying that he was tired. He wasn't a night person so he didn't have their biological body hours. Being with Jongin and Chanyeol in the observatory was fun to him. But at last, he agreed that he was sleepy.

The sun rose up to the sky. Chanyeol and Jongin shocked to see Kyung Soo slept on the chair beside the telescope. Chanyeol laughed because he was drooling. Jongin gently wiped it with the tissues while admiring the flawless white milky skin.

"What should we do?" Jongin got confuse and Chanyeol chuckled to see his friend's priceless dumb expression.

"Bring him to your home first," Chanyeol lightly said as Jongin's lips gapped like a fish, shocked and speechless.

So here they were, walking with Kyung Soo on Jongin's back and Chanyeol who gladly snapped a picture of them. The morning breeze greeted their Saturday as they stood up to wait for the first bus. Kyung Soo was a heavy sleeper. Both of them gasped in shock to see him still sleeping soundly besides those honks in morning traffic jam.

Chanyeol accompanied Jongin to his apartment because his apartment wasn't that far from Jongin's. The taller man opened Jongin's apartment door and Jongin quickly walked to his room to put Kyung Soo on the bed. Chanyeol waved goodbye to his apartment as Jongin thanked him.

***

Kyung Soo gained his consciousness that noon. He drowned his head on the soft pillow below him and felt comfortable to the musky scent on it.

Wait? Pillow?

He jolted up and widened his eye upon the surroundings. His eyes shook rapidly because he didn't know where he was. Suddenly a smell of pancake entered the room and his stomach growled in anticipation. He quickly dragged himself up to walk outside. When he turned to a living room, he saw Jongin made the pancake behind the counter. His lips formed a smile to see Jongin wore the apron.

"Pancake!" Kyung Soo cheered as Jongin jumped in shock.

"Hyung you surprised me," Jongin protested slowly as he put another pancake onto the plate.

"So I overslept?" Kyung Soo beamed.

"Sit and eat the pancake. Yes you are overslept," Jongin simply replied and put the plate nearer to Kyung Soo.

"Did I drool? Oh I was embarrassing myself," He pouted before he shoved the pancake.

Jongin cracked up and laughed. Kyung Soo froze to hear such a beautiful sound wave from Jongin. His heart warmed up by the presence of this boy. He stunned because he realized, he only knew Jongin for two days and now he was in the younger's apartment after humiliating himself by sleeping away after wander around in the observatory.

"Wait, don't you need to sleep?" Kyung Soo asked.

"I just can't now," Jongin replied.

Jongin couldn't just sleep because he kept staring at Kyung Soo the whole night. Those plump lips distracted him that much.

"Since this is Saturday, do you want to go somewhere?" Kyung Soo asked but Jongin seemed spaced out.

"Jongin!" Kyung Soo shocked when Jongin's body weaken down onto the floor and caught him at the right time.

Kyung Soo struggled to bring Jongin to the bed. He maybe knew that Jongin's immune system must be in problem because yeah, Jongin was awake at night and he must not have a very good morning sleep ever. He swept away Jongin's hair on his forehead and let him slept. Kyung Soo must went back home before night so he took Jongin's phone and added his number also called his own number to add Jongin's number.

"Have a good sleep," Kyung Soo smiled and went out from the apartment.

***

Jongin yawned and rolled to the other side of the bed. Saturday night was on his mind as he sat up. Suddenly he searched for someone. Kyung Soo was gone and he couldn't help but groaned in disappointment while wonder what it felt like to wake up and saw the man's graceful face. With ease, he took his phone just to find one message there. He almost threw his phone to find Kyung Soo's message there. Maybe Kyung Soo took his phone and added his number there. It made Jongin lightly smile and opened the message.

From : Kyung Soo

First, thank you for carrying me home ^^

Second, sorry to bother you much and you even made me pancakes. It was delicious. I should pay you back. ;)

Third, how about a dinner before you go to work and before I go home? Where do you usually eat? :)

P.S please say my thank you to Chanyeol hyung :)

Jongin grinned to see the cheerful emoticons between those words. He thought a bit on how to response the message.

To : Kyung Soo

First, you're welcome, hyung.

Second, thank you for praising my cook.

Third, I usually eat in a restaurant not far from the bus stop. The restaurant's name i.O. tomorrow night will be fine.

reply for P.S I will tell Chanyeol hyung right away.

He touched the send button and tossed his phone aside before went up to take a bath. His smile never left him because yeah, this Kyung Soo made his heart bloomed in peace the first time they met.

At last, his life wasn't that dark anymore.

***

Kyung Soo dried his hair that night after washing them. The phone's message tone attracted his gaze. He ran to see one message arrived and almost choked on his saliva to see the sender.

From : Jonginnie ^^

First, you're welcome, hyung.

Second, thank you for praising my cook.

Third, I usually eat in a restaurant not far from the bus stop. The restaurant's name i.O. tomorrow night will be fine.

reply for P.S I will tell Chanyeol hyung right away.

He grinned at the appointment they made. With smiles painted on his face, he slumped down the bed and wished tomorrow came faster.

***

Jongin sprinted to the restaurant that day. Once he opened the door, Luhan jumped in shock because of the sound. The doe-eyed boy approached Jongin with someone taller beside him. Jongin seemed to know this guy somewhere. Luhan notice Jongin's gaze to the boy beside him.

"I want to say thank you!" The boy bowed 90 degrees towards Jongin who widened his eyes at the sudden encounter.

"Jongin, this is Oh Sehun, the one you saved few days ago," Luhan explained and Sehun stood up again.

Milky skin like Kyung Soo, small loveable eyes, strong jaw line, and his unusual height impressed Jongin. He only saw the boy between the nights and didn't focus on like this.

"You're welcome," Jongin smiled and Sehun replied the smile.

Luhan ruffled Sehun's hair and the latter blushed. Jongin knew something was happening on them but didn't bother to interrupt. Instead he told them that he would go to his usual table. The menu presented by Sehun as soon as Jongin sat on the table.

"So you work here now?" Jongin nicely asked.

"Yes, Luhan hyung recommend me to work on here. I am an orphan and that night some people mugged me. I feel grateful to finally meet you," Sehun answered quickly like a child and Jongin couldn't help but smile.

"Actually I'm waiting for someone," Jongin confessed and Sehun lifted his eyebrows in curiosity.

"Your special one?" The boy asked.

"I hope so," Jongin replied as someone opened the restaurant door.

Kyung Soo stepped inside and Jongin saw Luhan greeted him cheerfully.

"I am waiting for someone too. Oh! He is there," Kyung Soo pointed at Jongin as Luhan gasped but still accompanied Kyung Soo to his table.

"Hello hyung," Jongin greeted casually.

"What a nice restaurant here you got," Kyung Soo sat across Jongin while admiring the interior.

Luhan stared at Jongin who sulked on his place. Jongin knew Luhan must ask for explanations later. Sehun chuckled to see Jongin's reactions towards Kyung Soo who started talking about what to eat while looking at the menu. Luhan recommended everything nice and Jongin ordered his usual dinner menu. Sehun quickly delivered the order to the kitchen.

"So, who is this, Jongin?" Luhan beamed as Jongin almost choked on his water because hell, Kyung Soo was across him and stared at Jongin for the answer too.

"He is my, friend whom I met when I was waiting for the last bus," Jongin finally said and he knew Luhan's curiosity began to stick up.

"My name is Do Kyung Soo. Thank you for helping me choose the food," Kyung Soo politely introduced himself with his heart shaped smile and Luhan fought the urge to pinch his squishy cheeks.

"You're welcome dear one. You are so adorable and I'm glad that Jongin found you," Luhan winked as he went to get their order and the guest both blushed by the words.

Soon, Sehun delivered their order and let them eat. They both drowned in silence but Kyung Soo sometimes beamed on how this food were delicious and he would like to come here every day for dinner, which Jongin thought cute and he loved to take Kyung Soo here.

"Why are you work there Jongin?" Kyung Soo suddenly asked as Jongin thought hard to answer it.

"I just don't have a home," He found a right words as Kyung Soo gasped.

"You are homeless?! How about that apartment?"

"I have an apartment. But I have no place like home."

"Oh. That's sad."

"Not really. I love stars. Every time they are around, that's home for me."

"So that's why you are there," Kyung Soo concluded as they continued to eat.

Kyung Soo sometimes glanced to see Jongin's reserved way to eat. He was calm, different like him who talked too much sometimes. He saw ketchup on the edge of Jongin's lips and automatically took the napkin and wiped it off. The man chuckled to see Jongin widened his eyes, blushed and said thank you to him. This boy was too shy, Kyung Soo thought.

"Th-Thank you," Jongin murmured and felt his face became warmer than ever.

"You're welcome Jongin. Hmm, I wonder, when you get some days off?" Kyung Soo asked and Jongin didn't know what to say because he rarely took the holidays like in Christmas or such.

"I-I rarely take my holidays. I spend all the holidays there," Jongin decided to be honest.

"Can I go with you to the observatory on weekends? You don't have to worry 'cause I will bring blankets, some vitamins to strength my immune system and we can have dinner here before," Kyung Soo said in one breath as Jongin found it adorable so he chuckled a bit.

"That was a good idea, I guess," Jongin finally replied.

"Owah can't wait for week days then," Kyung Soo exclaimed happily.

They continued eating and chatting that night. Jongin found that Kyung Soo was an orphan too but his cousin saved him also gave him money to go to college. He was like a father to Kyung Soo. Kyung Soo didn't like darkness and Jongin promised to protect him from his fear. He didn't want a sad Kyung Soo.

"I need to accompany you home first," Jongin murmured as Kyung Soo crooked his eyebrows in confusion.

"You will be late then."

"It's okay. I will tell Chanyeol hyung that I'll come late," Jongin insisted.

"Hmm okay then," Kyung Soo drank his tea again.

They both stood up and Jongin went to the cashier but Kyung Soo stopped him when he gave the money.

"My treat," Kyung Soo smiled as he handed the money as Jongin wanted to protest but Kyung Soo shushed him.

"Jongin hyung, thank you for visiting," Sehun waved goodbye happily.

"Be good to Kyung Soo okay?" Luhan smiled as Jongin blushed and Kyung Soo laughed.

"You got some good friends, Jongin. See you guys later. I will come here often!" Kyung Soo waved goodbye and walked with Jongin outside the restaurant.

They both sat to wait for the bus. Jongin still insisted to accompany Kyung Soo home. Kyung Soo was glad to have Jongin there because he felt safe in the dark night. Soon the bus arrived and Jongin offered his hand again. Kyung Soo gladly took it and intertwined their hands.

Jongin went out from the bus hand in hand with Kyung Soo. The apartment building visible and Kyung Soo led Jongin inside. They both drowned in silence in the elevator. Kyung Soo's hand was warm and he loved it so much. They stopped in front of a door number 1201.

"So this is where you live," Jongin smiled.

"Yeah I'm here for now. My cousin won't be home until two weeks later so I don't have any company now," Kyung Soo replied.

"I guess I need to go," Jongin sadly said as Kyung Soo squeezed his hand.

Kyung Soo tip toed and kissed Jongin's cheek as the boy stunned in shock.

"Have a nice night," Kyung Soo said before he went inside his apartment.

Jongin walked to the bus stop, still stunning because Kyung Soo kissed him on the cheek. His cheek was warm because of Kyung Soo's lips. Soon he arrived to the observatory, opened the door, and fell down because the floor was slippery.

"Oops sorry," another voice heard as Jongin looked up to see a small built man mopped the floor.

"Is that Jongin?" Chanyeol's voice heard as Jongin turned to him.

"I'm so sorry! Are you okay? Anything hurt?" the man ran to examine Jongin's body.

"I'm-I'm fine," Jongin went uncomfortable and Chanyeol laughed.

"Baek he's okay," He assured the smaller man.

"So this is the interesting Taurus?" Jongin asked as Chanyeol blushed out of the blue and Baekhyun crooked his eyebrows in confusion.

"My name is Baekhyun, Byun Baekhyun. So you are Jongin right? Chanyeol told me about you," Baekhyun offered his hand and Jongin gladly took it.

"Kim Jongin. Nice to meet you too, hyung," He replied.

"Baek, you should go to sleep. Night is falling," Chanyeol suggested.

"But I can't sleep without you beside me," Baekhyun whined as Jongin widened his eyes and Chanyeol smiled.

"Don't worry. You can sleep here beside my table right? You brought the sleeping bag, didn't you?" Chanyeol asked and Baekhyun ran to get it right away.

"So you and him... Uh.. Did something like that?" Jongin asked and Chanyeol's face heated up.

"Um.. yeah. We are now official," Chanyeol smiled.

"Glad to hear that, hyung. I'm happy for you. He seems nice."

"How about you, Jongin?" Chanyeol asked.

"He-He wanted to stay here in week days," Jongin began to speak.

"That's great. You can be with him and I can be with Baekhyun so you are not alone," The taller man concluded happily.

"So you won't be here in week days?" Jongin felt kinda lonely without his hyung.

"I decided to take the holiday. At last," He shrugged in graceful way as he stared at Baekhyun who was busy with the sleeping bag.

Jongin smiled and went to his table. He quickly brought some paper to check on the stars. The Big Dipper showed up as he grinned and began to check on the tails of the consellation. Big Dipper changes from time to time, refering to the new era everytime it changes.

His mind drifted again to Kyung Soo and his sparkling eyes. He touched his cheek again. The feelings of the kiss was always there. He missed Kyung Soo that much.

And he wished the week days would come soon.

"Woah slow down in opening that door!" Luhan protested when Jongin rushed inside and ran to his usual table.

Sehun chuckled to see Jongin walked inside with silent enthusiastic movements. He gave him the menu but Jongin wanted to wait for Kyung Soo first.

"So what's the plan?" Sehun asked as Jongin blushed.

"Uuh, he wanted to stay on week days in my work place," Jongin finally answered.

"That's good to know each other well," Sehun commented.

"How about you and Luhan hyung?" Jongin suddenly asked and Sehun blushed deeply.

"He-He was gentle at the first time we did it," Sehun murmured as Jongin choked on his water.

"Wha-What's wrong with people these days? First Chanyeol hyung and you too," Jongin emphasized.

"Maybe you can have it too someday."

"Don't talk about that again. I'm embarassing myself in talking about that," Jongin replied as Sehun chuckled.

"Your love one is here," Luhan walked with Kyung Soo who widened his eyes upon the statement.

Luhan and Sehun retreated as Kyung Soo sat across Jongin with a huge backpack behind him. Jongin chuckled upon the enthusiam. They both chatted in happiness as their feet moved to the bus stop. Jongin couldn't help but to open up more to Kyung Soo's brightness upon everything.

The pine forest greeted and Jongin took Kyung Soo's hand again, guiding him tenderly to the observatorium. Kyung Soo awed the night sky that full of stars. They sparkled like the spotlight which cherish the dark night sky. Jongin sat in front of the telescope and decided to begin working. The boy suddenly turned to Kyung Soo who silently admired Jongin's features.

"Take a chair and sit with me," Jongin smiled and Kyung Soo sprinted to drag a chair next to Jongin.

"Just see through the hole and tell me what you see," Jongin instructed and Kyung Soo began stargazing.

The brightest star attracted him. It didn't twinkle like the other stars. He quickly asked Jongin what the star's name. But Jongin chuckled and said that it was the Venus which visibled at night along with the stars. Planets didn't produce their own light, they reflected it from the sun. Kyung Soo understood and continued learning with Jongin.

Jongin completed his star map again and let Kyung Soo watched beside him. Suddenly he heard a long breath and turned just to find the older slept peacefully on the chair. Jongin gulped to see the pouting plump lips. He admired Kyung Soo's face before leaning closer.

He couldn't hold it anymore so he put his lips on Kyung Soo's, kissing him tenderly under the moon and starlight.

The stargazer's eyes widened when he felt a hand grabbed his sweater, pulling him closer. Kyung Soo tilted his head aside to reply Jongin's kiss. He moved his lips slowly, devouring the taste of Jongin's sweet lips as the younger followed his move. Their lips danced under the moonlight and Jongin couldn't be more happy than that.

They both parted when the air was limited and heavily breathing. Jongin diverted his gaze away because he was embarassing himself by kissing Kyung Soo first without permission. Kyung Soo chuckled to see the shy boy fiddling with his sweater.

"I would like to kiss you again," Kyung Soo broke the silence and Jongin stared at him, wide eyed.

Jongin felt a hand grabbed his sweater again and Kyung Soo crushed his lips onto his. The tender kiss turned to be needy and passionate. Kyung Soo moved to sit on Jongin's lap, circling his feet around Jongin's waist. They both moved perfectly to each other. Jongin rested his hand on Kyung Soo's hair, it gently along the kiss they shared. But when he felt a bulge under his stomach, he stopped and Kyung Soo stared at him confusely.

"What's wrong, Jongin?" Kyung Soo asked and Jongin could see lust sparkled in his eyes.

"Down-Down there," Jongin murmured but Kyung Soo continued to kiss his neck.

"Let me please you," Kyung Soo whispered on Jongin's ear as the younger blushed deeply.

Jongin shocked when Kyung Soo ed his pants while kissing him all over his body. He tilted his head behind, absorbing the pleasure when Kyung Soo's hand roaming onto his waist. He felt the night breeze after Kyung Soo lowered his pants.

Kyung Soo shocked to see that Jongin was that hard for him. He wrapped his hand around Jongin's member, making Jongin moaned shamelessly. His tongue began to work magically, leaving Jongin drowned in pleasure. The boy looked at Kyung Soo who slowly devoured and couldn't help but the older's hair like giving him the encouragement to go on.

But when he almost came, he told Kyung Soo to stop as the older stared at him confusely.

"Let me please you too," with that, Kyung Soo felt the most amazing night under the sparkling stars ever.

***

The sunshine went through the window as Kyung Soo opened his eyes slowly. He could feel the soft matress and discovered the light blanket on him. But then he jolted up and stared at the surroundings. He blushed, remembering the last night he did with Jongin. The familiar furnitures made him smiled. He was in Jongin's apartment again.

The warm floor greeted his feet as he went down from the bed and rushed to the living room just to see Jongin with his apron again, making omelletes.

"Morning!" He chirped and Jongin jolted in shock.

"Hyung you should stop surprising me," Jongin commented as the older laughed and sat on the chair.

"Actually I want to see you by my side, every single morning," Kyung Soo emphasized.

Jongin blushed but didn't say anything. He gave Kyung Soo the omellte and they ate in comfortable silence. Suddenly a faint noise heard from his bedroom. Kyung Soo's eyes widened and he excused himself to take the call.

"Hyung? You are back?!" Kyung Soo asked as Jongin cringed upon the nervous tone.

"I-I'm in my... my boyfriend's place!" The older responded again and Jongin fought the urge to curled himself up on the corner of the room because he was kinda afraid of Kyung Soo's cousin.

"What?! Ask him to have dinner with us?!" Jongin shocked to hear that words from Kyung Soo until he realized something.

"Kyung Soo hyung, you said that I'm your boyfriend?" Jongin's innocent question cracked Kyung Soo to laugh out loud.

"Of course Jonginnie, or should I ask first? Do you want to be my boyfriend?" Kyung Soo winked and Jongin's feet weakened because of the adorable person in front of him.

"Ye-Yes," Jongin shuttered as Kyung Soo hugged him cheerfully.

"Get ready then," Kyung Soo replied as Jongin nodded and rushed to prepare himself to accompany Kyung Soo home.

He opened his wardrobe and frowned. The younger didn't know what to wear. He never went to any formal occassion. Soon Kyung Soo rushed in just to see many clothes spreaded on the bed. The man laughed and took a white shirt with blue jeans.

"But this is your cousin," Jongin murmured.

"Don't worry he won't be that judgemental to someone," Kyung Soo claimed and Jongin gave a small smile.

Soon they arrived in front of Kyung Soo's apartment. The older opened the door, revealing the great fragrance of dinner made by his cousin.

"Hyung!" Kyung Soo hugged the man who just put the plate on the table.

"Kyungieee," The man hugged back tightly as Jongin got jealous a bit.

"Oh! This is my boyfriend, Jongin," Kyung Soo pulled Jongin to introduce himself.

"My name is Kim Jongin. Nice to meet you," Jongin bowed 90 degrees as the man stunned.

"Oh hello! I'm Kim Joonmyeon, Kyung Soo's cousin. Wow we are both Kim J," Joonmyun grinned and Jongin eased a little.

"Another Kim J is coming," Suddenly someone showed up and Kyung Soo ran to hide behind Jongin upon the encounter.

"Jongdae! Do knock the door or ring the bell first okaay," Joonmyun protested as Jongdae went inside just to hug him.

"Who are you?!" Kyung Soo shrieked upon the closeness of the intruder with his cousin.

"Kyung this is my boyfriend, Kim Jongdae. We met when I'm in my job outside the town weeks ago," Joonmyeon introduced the man.

"Oh hello! Kim Jongdae here. Nice to see you two," Jongdae grinned cheerfully.

"Nice to see you too," Jongin replied quite light because of Jongdae's personality.

"Let's have dinner then," Joonmyeon chirped and they moved to the dining room.

***

"I'm sorry about my cousin," Kyung Soo said as he accompanied Jongin outside.

"Not a problem, hyung. He's nice," Jongin glanced at Joonmyeon who talked casually with his boyfriend.

"Well, thank you then for accepting him. He likes you anyway," Kyung Soo tip-toed and kissed Jongin's cheek lovingly as the latter blushed.

"What's that for?" Jongin shyly asked.

"For loving me and my family," Kyung Soo kissed Jongin's lips and the younger replied it right away.

uhm...corrections on your description:

There are four main directions in our lives: north, west, south, east.

Where do you want to go first-- to the north where there is a promising future between stagnant complexity,to the west where the sun sets and only the moon and stars befriend you, to the south where there is an unknown destination,or to the east where the sun rises and blinds your eyes with its radiance?

I will be your guide.

--uhm... i think the phrase 'to find a real home between the boring life' is a bit awkward. try making another phrase. and...i'm sorry if i'm being like this. it's just that i want your description to improve.
