9 year old eunhae

“Hyukkie! Hug me, quickly!” Donghae shouts, running away from the classroom to Hyukjae who is sitting quietly on a bench beside the playground.

“Sure, but why?” The older boy asks as he catches Donghae in his arms, both of them managing to wrap themselves around the other.

“Seohyun touched my arm, I think I’m infected!” Donghae wails, burying his face in Hyukjae’s chest due to his shorter height.

“You know that’s not how things work, Hae. Girls don’t actually have cooties, they’re just gross, that’s all,” Hyukjae reassures him, ducking his head to peck the messy hair of his best friend. “You have nothing to worry about.”

“Really, Hyukkie?” Donghae asks, Hyukjae nodding before the younger boy smiles up at him, tip-toeing to kiss Hyukjae’s soft, plump lips that have become more enticing over the years. “I love you. Please keep those girls away from me. Okay, Hyukkie?”

“Alright. Only look at me, Hae. You only need me by your side, no one else,” Hyukjae murmurs, pressing their lips together softly and carefully, something they only do when they need to prove their love for each other. This kiss is different to their normal small kisses; this one leaves Donghae’s heart thumping and Hyukjae’s mind yearning for more.

“I will. I only love you, Hyukkie!” Donghae declares with a pleased grin, his innocence matching Hyukjae’s as they sit down on the wooden bench Hyukjae had left to hug Donghae.
