"This war was significant to our history because it defines......."

You were in your history class, barely paying attention to what the teacher was saying. Normally, you enjoyed history; listening to the bravery of the men, the heroics of fallen soldiers and how your country is defined by what terrors it went through. Today though, was another story. You weren't sure if it was because it was Friday and you were greatly anticipating the start of the relaxing weekend you had planned or if it was because the brightly sun filled day seemed to be mocking the fact that you were stuck inside a classroom for another long hour.

Whichever it was, you could tell that you were not the only one feeling this way in your class. A simple glance around the room told you that other students were longing to feel the freedom that weekends always promised. You even saw some people actually starting to doze off. Their heads would roll and the poor things were trying so desperately to stay awake. See, the teacher hated it when someone fell asleep in his class.

Unfortunately for one student, falling asleep came too easily this period, and it was none other than your crush Kris. You admired him for a second before your attention turned back to the teacher, waiting for the inevitable moment when his eyes would land on the culprit making the cute soft snoring noise.

And the moment has arrived. With the fineness and quietness of a feline, the teacher easily stalked up to Kris's desk. He didn't even hesitate to slam his large hand down on the wooden table right near Kris's ear.

"I LOVE YOU!!!!" Kris shot up from his sleeping position momentarily forgetting where he was currently located. Unfortunately for him, when he did realize where exactly he was, he was greeted with a class of laughing students and the teacher standing in front of him, trying with much difficulty to keep a straight and stern face.

"Kris, since you decided to sleep in my class mind telling us who or what it is you are so desperately in love with?" The teacher still had an amused face on and you had to admit you were quite curious as to who exactly Kris was dreaming about.

"Uh, well it was, um....I love...um, ice cream?" You could tell Kris was embarrassed beyond what words could describe and you felt sorry for him, but ice cream? Really? He had to shout out his love of ice cream? What kind of dreams does this boy have?

"Well Kris, lucky for you there is only half an hour left of class until the day is over, you can go get your precious ice cream then." As the teacher walked back to the front of the class to continue his interrupted lesson, snickers were heard from a few of the students. A glare from Kris though easily made them shut their mouths.

"Hey lover boy, you obviously weren't dreaming of ice cream. You were dreaming of her weren't you? Go ask her out already!" Tao, one of Kris's friends whispered from the right of the still red faced and dazed male.

"Yah seriously. I don't think either of you have the power of telepathy so your dreams aren't going to send her a message or something. Grow a pair and go talk to her!" Chen, on the left of Kris, still couldn't help the small giggles that came from his mouth and vowed to never let Kris live this situation down.

Kris looked to either side of him, easily glaring at his so called friends. He didn't give them the satisfaction of hearing a response from him, but rather he turned to the front of the class desperately trying to listen to the end of the lecture.

Finally the bell rang and the day was over. The promise of an enjoyable weekend was just outside the classroom doors. Everyone quickly gathered their belongings and dashed out the door, easily forgetting the lesson that was just taught.

As you were packing up your belongings, you saw a familiar pair of shoes come into your line of sight.

"What can I do for you Chen?"  You quickly looked up to acknowledge his presence before continuing the job of stuffing your backpack.

"I was wondering the guys are going to grab some ice cream, would you like to join us?"

At this you fully looked up at Chen. Sure you knew the guys he was referring to and actually talked to a few of them sometimes, but you had to admit that it made you suspicious as to why he was asking you to hang out with them all of a sudden.

"Um.... mind if I ask why exactly?" You knew Kris would be going, if his apparent dream was any indication, but you played it cool not wanting to show desperate eagerness.

"Can't I ask a friend to join a few other friends? Besides, who can really pass up the chance for ice cream? Plus there is something I want to tell you....." Chen looked at you hopefully and as your expression changed to that of a big smile; he knew you wouldn't decline his offer.

Nodding your head in affirmation, the two of you grabbed your belongings and started toward the front of the school where Chen had said everyone would be waiting. Upon your arrival, indeed everyone was there, including Kris who couldn't seem to take his eyes off of you. Thankfully for you and the growing awkward situation, the maknae Sehun broke the staring contest with his excitement for the frozen treat.

"Let's get going!! I have ice cream to eat!!"

"Whoo, I call chocolate!"

"But I wanted chocolate!"

"We can both have chocolate you pabo."

"Can we just hurry it up all ready? The ice cream waits for no one!"

With the battle cries for ice cream, the group of you set off for the parlor just down the street from your school. As you were on your way though, you couldn't help but think about Kris. How he walked with such poise and held his head up high. He was confident but not arrogant and you especially liked that about him.

Reaching the parlor, everyone was thankful that it wasn't that full, you were able to easily find a table that comfortably fit all 13 of you. Suho volunteered to treat everyone and quickly asked for your orders,

"Chocolate!"

"Chocolate here too!"

"Vanilla please"

Everyone called out their orders until it was your turn. You hesitated seeing as you didn't actually think about what you wanted beforehand. Your mind was a little preoccupied thinking about him.

"Uh....I'll have a chocolate fudge sundae please." You figured you might as well go all out, what better way to start the weekend?

As you waited for the ice cream to be made, people were starting to make bets on who could eat the ice cream the fastest. The result was a full on ice cream eating competition.

"Ok here are the rules, everyone will be split into pairs and you are against your partner in the race. Whoever eats the ice cream the fastest will be able to tell the loser to do something for them." Chanyeol was explaining the rules and everyone readily agreed.

Unfortunately or maybe fortunately for you, Kris ended up being your partner for the ice cream eating competition. At this point everyone had their ice cream and was ready to start.

Baekhuyn currently being the loudest person started the countdown. "Three, two, one. GO!!"

Once go was said, all 13 teenagers started stuffing their faces with ice cream; any onlooker from outside would surely have been confused as to what was happening. It didn't take long though before many shouts were heard all claiming brain freeze.

A few more agonizing minutes later and winners started to announce their victory.

"Yes!! Take that Xiumin, I win! Now what shall I have you do...."

"Whoo!! No one can beat me! Hahaha sorry D.O maybe next time!"

As you were watching the guys laugh in victory and contemplate what they would have their losing friend do, you didn't realize your paced slowed down until you saw how little ice cream Kris had left. With eyes growing wide you starting shovelling the ice cream out of its container and into your mouth.

"I can't let her win. If I win maybe I could ask her to be my girlfriend....."

"So Kris likes me but is too shy to do anything about it. If I win this I can just ask him to be my boyfriend. Someone has to man up if we both like each other, if not nothing will ever happen......"

With both your thoughts circling around the same topic, the desire to win increased with every mouthful of the blistering cold treat.

"Yes!! I won! In your face!!"

You held up your ice cream container with pride and looked to Kris, whose face certainly held disbelief.

"So __________, what are you going to make Kris do?" Chen looked at you with mischievous eyes, knowing full well that you knew what he was implying.

"Don't worry I have the perfect idea for Kris here." Kris was a little worried, he saw the exchange between you and Chen and couldn't help but think something bad was going to be said. What he didn't expect though, was the words that flowed easily out of your mouth.

"Since Kris lost, he has to become my boyfriend. Do you accept?" You gathered up all that courage to say those two simple lines, but watching Kris's frozen face, you started to deflate a little.

Kris on the other hand couldn't believe what just happened. The girl of his dreams just asked him out. He was happy, dazed and actually forgot to answer before Tao snapped him out of his thoughts.

"Say something all ready!"

"Uh....yes. Of course." With that everyone cheered and starting talking about ordering a second round of ice cream to celebrate the new couple. As their attention was elsewhere, Kris slide up next to you to wrap his arm around your shoulder.

"I'm happy you asked, but I was wondering why and how you knew."

"Chen. As we were making our way out to meet you guys before ice cream he told me that you really liked me but was way too shy to do anything about it. So I figured I would take things into my own hands."

"I'm going to kill him later, but for right now I'm going to enjoy my time with my new girlfriend."

With that being said, Kris pecked you lightly on the cheek before the both of you turned back to watch your goofy friends get a second round of brain freeze.
