JYJ's Yoochun deems ZE:A's Siwan an acting-dol rival
K-NewsIn his “Sea Fog” press conference, JYJ’s Yoochun mentions how ZE:A’s Siwan would be his rival when it comes to acting.
On October 3rd at the BIFF Village, Yoochun attended a press conference held by the Busan Film Journalists Association for his first upcoming movie, “Sea Fog.”
When it came to who Yoochun considered to be a rival in the idol turned actor population, he said ZE:A’s Im Siwan. Yoochun continued, saying how, as he watched Siwan’s movie, “The Counsel,” he was impressed, and at the time, only knew him as an actor instead of a singer. Yoochun also watched Siwan’s acting in fellow JYJ member Jaejoong’s recent drama “Triangle,” which further asserted Yoochun’s awe in Siwan’s acting abilities.
In addition, Yoochun modestly mentioned how he considered himself an actor who is continuously improving himself, and believed he is not a great actor, only a good one.
"Sea Fog," directed by Shim Sungbo, is an adaptation from the 2007 play, which was based on a story about how a crew, wanting to earn extra profit, decided to smuggle 25 illegal Korean-Chinese immigrants, by placing them in the storage tank of their vessel, Taechangho. However, problems arise as the South Korean Maritime Police chases the vessel into a slowly forming heavy fog.
"Sea Fog" was released on August 13th, 2014.
