In light of SM Entertainment’s statement regarding Jessica’s departure from Girls’ Generation, attention has been focused on an Instagram post made by member Taeyeon, which might have hinted at the departure.

On September 29th, a day before Jessica commented that she was kicked out of Girls’ Generation on Weibo, Taeyeon uploaded the above picture along with the following caption, “Family portrait #support #strength #friends #emoticon #kakaotalk #sone”.

In the picture are characters from the instant messaging app, Kakaotalk. However, netizens have pointed out that there are only 7 characters, symbolising the exclusion of Jessica and Taeyeon - who “took the family portrait”.
