FNC Entertainment's CEO addresses rumors about discrimination between FT Island and CN Blue
K-NewsFNC Entertainment’s CEO Han Sungho addressed rumours of discrimination between two of the groups under its wing, FT Island and CNBLUE.
On the October 3rd broadcast of JTBC “Sleeping With The Boss”, CEO Han and the members of CNBLUE and FT Island personally clarified some misunderstandings fans had regarding the company’s treatment of the two bands, such as a difference in the vans the company provided to each group, or the dorms in which the groups stayed in.
CNBLUE’s Jonghyun and Minhyuk, and FT Island’s Hongki and Seunghyun reassured fans that there was no preferential treatment by the company in regards to both bands. Both bands were given proper resources to carry out their activities.
FT Island’s Seunghyun also shared an anecdote about a dorm they lived in in the past, laughing, “The company had actually prepared a dorm for us near Yeongdeungpo previously. But when we finished our schedules we would come home to the smell of onion peel and garlic and we would be tearing when we tried to enter the dorm." Safe to say, they no longer live at the dorm.
In the episode, other FNC artists such as AOA and also appeared to share their stories.
In other news, CNBLUE’s Yonghwa is preparing for a solo debut, and FT Island is preparing for their 14th Japanese single.
