An ancient legend tells that one day the Jade Emperor wanted all animals to gather together to elect a council of 12 animals to watch over the human world. He decided that there will be a registration and the twelve arriving soonest will become The Twelve Guardians. They are Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig. The phoenix shall be their leader and guide them on the right path.

Year after year The Twelve look after the humans, but little by little the humans become more independent and don't need their guidance anymore, they learned how to use electricity and developed cars and TV and much more. However, The Twelve Guardians never abandoned them. Even after hundreds and thousands of years, they are still here – here between us.

Liu Lyra (OC)

A 17-years old girl, living in a little town in Arizona. Her parents died in a car accident. She grew up in an orphanage not having any friends but her books. Not that she wanted to be alone, but it's not like she got to choose. She saw early that it makes no sense to be unhappy about it. Living her life miserably and living her life happily - it's her choice. She choose to live happy and was really content with her life, her books, one and the other cup of tea...

But her whole life was scattered in all directions as someday the Kim couple wanted to adopt her. So she flew to Korea, to her new family. That's where she found out, that she'll have and important roll in the fight of the Twelve against the evil.

EXO

The Reincarnations of the Twelve Guardians. They all grew up having different special abilities. Not knowing that it is special, most of them were marked as freaks at school. Only few of them had the luck to have parents, who knew what they're going through and had the knowledge of what it was exactly. As result of it most of them had a hard childhood and adolescence.
