"All packed?" Yunmi's father, Taewoo, spoke in his usual wise-toned voice.
"Not yet," Yunmi replied. "I still have a week, you know?"
"Yeah," he sighed. "I know. I still can't believe that after all these years, slayers and vampires have to get along now. If any vampire ever attacks you at school, slay them. You won't get in trouble since you only used self defence." He pulled his daughter in for a hug and held her there for a little while. Just like Yunmi's childhood memories were filled with, he smelt like his favourite soup mixed and the fresh, clean smell of soap.
"What's this? A hug without me?" Mieun stood in the doorway with a smile on her delicate features. She stepped in and Taewoo engulfed her in his huge bearhug as well. "It's been so long since we had a hug like this, hasn't it?"
"Yes... it has, actually. And to think that a goodbye was all that was needed to trigger it," Taewoo said. "Just for this, I'm glad that the law was put in place."
