— TEASER #1 —
"Have you started packing yet?" A soft voice filled the quiet room.
"Not yet," Yunmi replied and turned her head to face the owner of the elegant voice. Her mother, Jung Mieun.
"Well, hurry up," there was a tightness, Yunmi realised, to Mieun's voice. A tightness that replaced the usual sweetness. A tightness that showed the distate towards the new worldwide law. Ignoring every little bit of history, vampires and slayers were now expected to co-exist in peace and harmony. "You're leaving in two weeks. Remember that," Mieun reminded her daughter. Yunmi nodded and put the book that she was reading down.
She contemplated a bit before asking, "Mum... Why do you hate vampires so much?" Seeing the strangled look on her mother's face, though, Yunmi quickly added, "Not that I don't hate them as well. I was just... wondering. I mean, we can't have the exact same reason, can we?"
"No, I suppose not," Mieun sighed. "That's a story for another day, Yun. Start packing. I don't care if you think two weeks is still far away," she began to move towards the door.
At the last moment, before disappearing through that door, Mieun whispered, "Time flies quickly. One thing will happen and you'll instantly move to the next."
