Once upon a time on the street in the corner of your heart, there was a boy who sold mocha bread. A slightly awkward, yet handsome boy with a baby face. This boy is the owner of Ethereal Cafe.  

He’d developed a crush on a girl who came to his shop every Tuesday to buy mocha bread. He watched her every movement from the corner of his eyes. The boy never let his feelings show through as they go through transactions just like any other customers. However, she didn’t know that he wrote a message on every single receipts he gave to her in invisible ink. Every time she picked out a piece of bread, he would sneakily write on the receipt before giving it to her. Each receipt said something like, "Have a good day!"

"You might not see this, but I hope my good wish will get you through a rough day.",

"Maybe one day, I'll write these notes in real ink".

However, one day, the girl came to his shop with another guy. The boy observed the two smiling and sneaking glances at each other. He smiled when she picked the same mocha bread, but this time, the boy didn't write a note for her. The other boy paid for the girl's bread. They left the store happily, leaving the mocha bread boy behind. Suddenly, another girl who wanted to buy a meat bun appeared before Mocha bread boy with a wide smile…

Meat bun girl stared at the disheartened Mocha bread boy.

"Smile! You look better when you smile” Mocha bread boy looked up while meat bun girl gasped that she just accidentally blurted out her thoughts.

Meat bun girl saw the way Mocha bread boy looked at Mocha bread girl. Meat bun girl is a regular at his bakery, but he seems to never notice her. She noticed how he wrote things on Mocha bread girl's receipt, but she doesn't know that it's invisible ink. No wonder the other girl never had any kind of reaction. Meat bun girl observed him from day to day with a fluttering heart. She wished that maybe she could have an admirer like that one day too.

Meat Bun girl was there the day mocha bread girl came in with another guy. She watched with a heavy heart as Mocha bread boy's smile faded away. Maybe it’s because she wanted so bad for this stranger to get a happy ending, but it could also be the large amount of cholesterol in meat buns… she missed his smile.

"Uh..What I mean is someone may appreciate your smile, even if it's not the person you were hoping for." She corrected.

"Thank you" Mocha bread boy allowed himself to smile and looked straight into meat bun girl's eyes. His heart skipped a beat.

“Her eyes are so familiar…Is she a regular here?" He thought. Naturally, Mocha bread boy reached for the most popular item in his bakery as a “thank you for cheering me up” gift.

"Do you want to try some mocha bread too?" He suggested.

"No thank you, the meat bun here is better." She said. The boy somehow felt offended by her statement. Mocha bread girl loves the bread, how come this girl doesn’t?

"Have you ever tried it?" He asked

"You just never noticed." She answered.

"Have you ever tried the meat bun here then? You make them yourself right? Why not give it a try? Let go of mocha bread once in awhile." She smiled and left before mocha bread boy could ask, "How did you know?"

He stared as she disappeared behind the bakery's glass door while holding her receipt in his hand. It reads:

"2 meat buns"

"Meat bun" he repeated.

Meat bun girl disappeared for a week. Mocha bread boy looked out for her every day now that he noticed her. He wanted to find out more about this person. He made the meat bun extra good just in case she would come back.

When mocha bread boy was about to give up waiting, meat bun girl showed up. He couldn’t help but smile as she walked in, but quickly hid his smile when she looked at him. Meat bun noticed mocha bread’s boy eyes on her when she looked at his selections.

“What do you recommend?” She took him by surprised. Mocha bread didn’t realized he’s been staring at her this whole time.

“Uh-uh..mocha bread is really good.” He insisted.

“I’ll try mocha bread today!” She smiled.

“Don’t you usually get a meat bun?” he asked.

“You need to try new things sometimes” She wrinkled her nose, which mocha bread boy found extremely cute. He couldn’t help but wonder why she didn’t resist his bread today since she rejected it last time.

When it was time to check out, mocha bread boy decided to write her a message. Meat bun girl noticed how suspicious he looked because she’d seen him do that to the other girl.

“You’re welcome” she smiled when he handed her the receipt. Mocha bread is letting the girl slipped away again. Before she could step out the door, he decided to keep her in his head for now.

“Hey, are you coming back tomorrow?” He called out after her. She turned around, confused.

“I don’t even know your name” she yelled back leaving the boy flustered.

“My name is Kim Minseok!” He yelled after her.

“Kim Minseok” she repeated to herself, but refused to turn around.

“Now that you know my name, remember to come back!!” He waved at her. When he realized what he just did, Mocha bread face palmed himself.

“So out of my character” he murmured.

Meat bun girl is stuck in Mocha bread boy’s mind all week. He tried guessing her name, but no luck.
