[daydream: angst]

Luhan heard the door click downstairs in the middle of the night. He looked to the side, where the hour hand had struck two twenty minutes ago.

He pulled the blanket up his face and curled himself up into a ball. Luhan felt cold. He had been sleeping alone in the massive bed for two for the past months.

Listening to the footsteps that belonged to the man Luhan loved, Luhan came to the realization that the man was no longer what he used to be. The footsteps were lazy, the slipeprs dragging onto the floor when they used to be heavy and stable, like the man who was always there for him. Now he was never there for Luhan.

"Sehun!" The man walked into their shared bedroom and gave Luhan a distant look.

"Why..." Luhan bit his bottom lips and forced himself to ask. "Why are you so late today?" Again.

"I got errands to run." Came the same respond Luhan had received thousands times before.

"Oh." There were no "why are you still up?" nor "I am sorry honey." No "baby," "sugar," "sweetheart", "Lu," not even a "Luhan." Like his existence wasn't worthy of acknowledging.
