At first, he really didn’t mind all the fanservice that happened between the two, because it was just bonding between a hyung and his dongsaeng. It would make him look like a fool if he felt jealousy over watching the two. But the more it went on, the more he couldn’t help but feel a tiny ball of jealousy burning in his stomach at the sight of the two. Which was odd, because he never felt like this before, and he knew that he shouldn’t, he was an affectionate hyung himself, and who said that the other hyungs couldn’t be the same as him in the group towards their dongsaengs?

But it still didn’t stop that feeling from eating away at his insides.

He couldn’t help but wonder if maybe there was something going on between the two. Something more than just a relationship between hyung cuddling, hugging, kissing, and holding his dongsaeng. And no matter how many times he scolded himself for thinking that, he couldn’t help wondering every time they were on stage, or offstage, or behind the scenes, or just there at the dorms.

Especially with all the occasions on stage where he saw that tall and muscled body manhandling what had already been claimed as his. And then all the hugs, the kisses, the playing around that made him wonder, and it didn’t help when all the fan-cafes would talk constantly about all the fanservice between the two, nor when they started writing fanfiction about the two. Maybe from the few fics he had read was the reason why he was curious, jealous, and even scared that there might be something more there.

He really blamed himself when he had clicked on the links to one of their fan’s story.

But he still couldn’t shake the feeling. Yesung was jealous of Siwon and Kyuhyun. Only because it seemed like the man was obsessed with Kyuhyun. Obsessed with touching him, kissing him, hugging him, and just taking all the maknae’s attention. Which shouldn’t have bothered Yesung, it really shouldn’t, because he knew how Siwon was, they all knew how affectionate and clingy Siwon was, but he couldn’t stop himself from feeling jealous.

And maybe a little scared.

And he felt like he had every reason to be scared. Scared that maybe Kyuhyun would see Siwon as the better man and decide to leave Yesung for the tall, handsome, muscled, rich man. Because even though Yesung believed that Kyuhyun loved him, it didn’t change the fact that Yesung felt he wasn’t that special to anyone. After all the things that happened in the past, his self-esteem wasn’t that great, he wasn’t tall like Siwon, he wasn’t handsome or labeled the visual of Super Junior like Siwon, and while he did tone up and work out, he still wasn’t as muscular as Siwon nor did he have the nice abs or perfect body like Siwon.

So with all those things pointed out and so many more things that plagued Yesung’s mind, wouldn’t Kyuhyun be happier with Siwon? And not an ugly, short, tiny-handed, weird, and insecure person like he was? Wouldn’t anyone choose Siwon over Yesung?

It didn’t help either that once he went into the military, the time he spent with Kyuhyun was rare and as much as he wished to see the lovable brat, their schedules rarely allowed it. The only things that kept him going and made him believe that Kyuhyun thought of him was the texts, the rare but sweet texts that he’d receive. Some had pictures of Kyuhyun with either happy or sad or amusing expressions, others had a few words, like ‘good morning’, ‘fighting!’, ‘good night’, ‘I miss you’, and of course, the one thing that Yesung loved seeing, ‘I love you.’

He’d saved every one of the texts and pictures on his phone, he knew that it was stupid to do so, because if his phone ever got lost or stolen, surely, he would have hell to pay with a scandal, but when he started missing that brat, he could always go back through them and feel loved by Kyuhyun.

But then, when he opened twitter, or any of the latest headliners concerning Super Junior, or went to any of the fan-cafes, everything was fine and he was glad to see how the fans still loved them, until he saw some of the interactions between Kyuhyun and Siwon. That would slightly put a damper on his mood. He tried to shake it off, reminding himself that Kyuhyun said he loved him, not Siwon. At least, he didn’t love Siwon in that special way, but it still made him wonder, and worry.

He was in Mouse Rabbit the day after SMTown’s live show, he had heard all the rave about it on different websites, Jongjin had shown him some of the headlines and told him about what the news was saying. Leeteuk was back, and Yesung couldn’t have been more proud when he saw the pictures of all the blue sapphire lights throughout the crowd, and he wanted nothing more to be back where Leeteuk was standing. Just a little while longer and he would be, and bow to all those beautiful, faithful ELFs.

And most of all, he’d be there, within reaching distance of someone who he had longed to be able to put his arms around again. Kyuhyun.

While he was attending to customers there at Mouse Rabbit, one fan had brought up the topic of the show, and brought up a picture of a blonde woman. A blonde woman with a very hairy leg, in a tight red dress with the perfect , and a face that Yesung would recognize anywhere. Cho Kyuhyun. The brat himself.

Yesung had to check himself once he saw the picture; surely, he was not drooling. No, his mouth was just watery all of a sudden, yes, that was it. At least the fan didn’t notice as he brushed it off. She questioned him then whether he would do something like that, and of course, Yesung being Yesung, he shook his head.

He’d never been one to dress up as a girl, he was a man, and that was that. But then as he thought about it after he gave the girl her order and she’d walked away, he wondered if he could try something like that once he finished his duties. The fans loved seeing it, of course, and from the fanarts that he’d seen of his face photoshopped onto a girl’s body, well, he had to admit that he did look good as a girl… but that was enough about that.

It would be something he’d have to wait and see about.

Now on the other hand, he really had to find some pictures of Kyuhyun in that red dress. And knowing all Kyuhyun’s fangirls, they, of course, got pictures, several pictures of the maknae. So after he went on his break and let Jongjin take over for him, he sat down in the backroom and quickly looked up the event to find some pictures.

And once the first few popped up, Yesung had to stop and maximize the pictures of Kyuhyun in that red dress. He couldn’t believe how much he liked the pictures of that brat, especially dressed as a girl and in a dress. But there was something about it, seeing that curly blonde hair, those dark eyes, those long fingers, and that milky white thigh against that red dress, it was mesmerizing to Yesung.

He even clicked on one of the fancams of the show to watch Kyuhyun, feeling secondhand embarrassment for the brat when he slipped up and forgot some of the choreography for the dance, but through all that, it didn’t seem to bother Kyuhyun. At least, some parts Yesung could see the maknae’s poker face.

As much as he was enjoying the video before going back to look at more pictures, Yesung caught the sight of one picture that had his eyes widening and froze him. It was obvious that it was taken just before the group, Boy’s Day, had went on stage, and it was just a simple picture with Heechul, Changmin with his red dress, Eunhyuk posing, Minho wearing his red dress, and there was Kyuhyun… with Siwon’s arms wrapped around him.

Even though he didn’t want to admit it, the two looked like they belonged together. If Kyuhyun had been a woman, she’d be more suited for someone like Siwon, wouldn’t she? Yesung wondered if the maknae had born a female, would he have chosen someone like Siwon instead of Yesung? It would’ve been understandable if Kyuhyun had; a woman would want someone that was tall, handsome, and had so much more to give than someone like himself.

As he stared at the picture, he couldn’t help but feel more depressed and even jealous.

“Hyung? You okay?” Jongjin’s voice snapped him out of his thoughts.

He looked up to see his brother poking his head into the kitchen, “Yeah, I’m fine. Is it getting hectic out there again?”

“No, it’s slow right now. Umma told me to get you out of here for the rest of the day, she said she knew you were feeling down about not being able to perform yesterday at the SMTown show,” Jongjin replied, holding out Jongwoon’s bag to him with a big smile, “So let’s go hang out somewhere.”

Jongwoon thought about it for a moment, he didn’t really want to do anything after seeing that picture that ruined his whole day, but he couldn’t turn down that smile from his brother and he knew that his mother would try everything to cheer him up if he did stay, and who knows, he might end up spilling about his relationship with Kyuhyun before they were ready to take that next step due to his frustrations. His safe bet was going with Jongjin.

“Okay, where should we go?” Jongwoon questioned, standing up and getting his bag.

Jongjin shrugged, “Anywhere’s fine, but wherever we end up, you’re buying me lunch.”

Chuckling, Jongwoon shook his head, “Why should I?”

“Because you’ve already had your break and I’m taking mine now… only because Umma is forcing me,” Jongjin stuck out his tongue, grabbing his brother’s hand and leading them out of the café after waving towards their mother.

“I still don’t see the reasoning with why I have to buy you lunch, but okay.”

The two ended up in a little Japanese ramen shop not far from the café. Jongjin practically dragged the older man to the place since he said he wanted some ramen. Some good ramen that didn’t come in plastic packages and that didn’t have to be cooked by his hands or his brother’s. Preferably not his brother’s since Jongwoon usually didn’t make it that well.

“Are you relieved that I didn’t pick somewhere really expensive to eat today, hyung?” Jongjin asked, slurping up his noodles.

Jongwoon shrugged, speaking through bites of his food, “I wouldn’t have minded anywhere you picked. But I’m glad you picked a place where the food is this good.”

Jongjin hummed in agreement, devouring more of the noodles, and sipping some of the broth from the noodles, “Yeah, it’s the best.” He stared down at his food for a moment, slightly sad that most of it was gone by now, but then looked back up at Jongwoon. It seemed like the man had cheered up a little bit. “So tell me, were you only sad earlier with all those fans talking about the SMTown show?”

The older brother shrugged, “It is a bit depressing not being able to join them on stage like that right now.”

As he picked at one of the carrots in the soup, Jongjin stared at the vegetable before he asked, “Are you sure it’s not just from not being able to witness a certain blonde from Boy’s Day’s performance from backstage?”

Jongwoon’s eyes widened when he looked up at his brother, Jongjin’s gaze slowly lifting to meet his brother’s, “I know all about you and Kyuhyun, hyung, well not all, but I know that he’s a bit more special than all your other brothers in Super Junior.”

“H-How—?”

“I’ve seen the way you look at him sometimes, like he hung the moon and stars, it’s obvious there’s more than just brotherly love going on between you two, hyung, and I saw you drooling over that picture the fan showed you of him earlier,” Jongjin rolled his eyes at the shocked face of Jongwoon’s, it was really no secret, and he wondered how other people hadn’t already noticed it. “So? Is that the reason why you’re feeling sad because you missed out on seeing your cross-dressing boyfriend on stage?”

Jongwoon’s shoulders slumped as he turned back to his ramen that was already getting cold, “No… that’s not all of it, Jongjin.”

“So what else is there? You miss performing with the rest of Super Junior?”

“I do, I miss that so much, but… it’s really stupid, I know,” he hesitated to say what really was bothering, but Jongjin’s curious face helped him speak, not to mention he knew that Jongjin would be determined to find out the reason if Jongwoon didn’t say, “but I just feel like there’s something between Kyuhyun and Siwon.”

The younger Kim’s eyebrow rose in confusion, “What do you mean?”

Jongwoon shrugged, “I don’t know… like this,” he pulled out his phone and searched for that one picture of the two, and showed it to Jongjin, “the way he’s holding Kyuhyun, and just… everything about the two. Wouldn’t someone like Kyuhyun be more suited for someone like Siwon? I mean, I’m not all that great, I don’t have the best looks, I’m not tall as Siwon, I don’t have—”

“Whoa, whoa, whoa, hyung,” Jongjin stopped the man, “Who says that Kyuhyun is suited better with Siwon? Seriously, hyung, you may have some weird traits about yourself, but you’re just as good looking and handsome as Siwon, in your own way, which is probably why Kyuhyun’s with you. Looks and physical appearances aren’t everything, Jongwoon.”

“But the fans—”

“Hyung,” Jongjin interrupted him again, rolling his eyes, “have you seen all the stuff about Kyumin created by the fans? Why aren’t you feeling insecure about Sungmin then?”

Sighing to himself, Jongwoon shook his head, he saw the point, and it wasn’t like the fans didn’t pair Kyuhyun with everyone, the same with himself, and every other Super Junior member, but the moments between Kyuhyun and Siwon, they still just made Jongwoon feel uneasy.

“Don’t tell me, are you just jealous of the two, hyung? Is that it?” Jongjin asked, trying to read the man’s expression.

“Well if it was your girlfriend being held like that by another man, wouldn’t that make you feel uneasy and a bit jealous?” Jongwoon retorted, scowling at his little brother.

Jongjin paused when Jongwoon asked that, he would be jealous and he would think something about the situation, but Jongjin knew the maknae of Super Junior, and even though Jongjin never told Jongwoon about him threatening to beat Kyuhyun up if he ever made his older brother cry, well, he knew that Kyuhyun wouldn’t do that. There was nothing to worry about with Kyuhyun, Jongjin knew this, he just wished his brother did.

“I would feel a little bit jealous, maybe even ask her about it, and voice that I didn’t care for the way he was holding her, but I wouldn’t start doubting our relationship or my ability to hold onto her, hyung. Call him and talk to him about it, you’ll feel a lot better when you do, especially when he calls you an idiot and says you have nothing to worry about because he loves you and only you.”

When it looked like Jongwoon wasn’t going to move and stayed silent, staring at the soup in his bowl, Jongjin snatched the phone from his brother’s hand, and started scrolling through his contacts to find that maknae’s name.

“Hey! Give my phone back!” Jongwoon tried to snatch it back, but Jongjin was too fast for him, dodging those tiny hands, “Jongjin, come on, give me the phone back!”

“Not yet, hyung,” Jongjin kept the man at bay until he finally found Kyuhyun’s name; he opened up a new message to the man, and quickly typed in a short message to him. He pressed ‘send’ just as Jongwoon finally yanked the phone out of his hands. He grinned at the confused face of Jongwoon’s, “You’ll thank me when he gets that message.”

Jongwoon’s head snapped up when he heard that, he saw that the message had already gone through when he got his phone back, “What did you do? What did you send?”

“Oh, just a little something, when was the last time that brat texted you? Maybe that’s why you’re feeling insecure about your relationship right now, well, that text will get the maknae to messaging you,” Jongjin smiled teasingly.

“I’m going to kill you, Jongjin! If you—” he started but just then, his phone started playing that beautiful voice that he missed the most in one of Jongwoon’s favorite songs of the maknae’s. Hope Is A Dream That Never Sleeps.

“That’s your ringtone for him too? Yeah, you’re head-over-heels for him, hyung,” Jongjin remarked, shaking his head but inwardly beaming since Kyuhyun replied so quickly.

“It says, ‘why? What happened?’ What did you text him, Jongjin,” Jongwoon looked through his sent messages and found the last one, the one that Jongjin sent. “‘Call or text your boyfriend, he’s feeling down right now. - Jongjin.’ Seriously, Jongjin!”

“Well it’s the truth, you are! Now explain to him the whole situation with you being jealous of Siwon so he can clarify it and profess his undying love for you.”

Jongwoon shook his head, “No, I can’t do that, he’ll get mad at me and—” he was interrupted again by the phone ringing this time. He stared at the name that showed up, hesitating at first but finally answered it, “H-Hello?”

“Jongwoon? What happened? What’s wrong? Jongjin said you were feeling down, are you okay?” It was truly amazing how just hearing that voice had relaxed Jongwoon, even though it was filled with worry.

“Kyuhyun, I’m fine. Jongjin was just—yah!” Jongjin snatched the phone away from his brother.

“He is not fine, Kyuhyun, don’t listen to him. He was feeling jealous over that picture of you and Siwon from SMTown’s performance, the one where you were dressed up like a woman.”

“What? Seriously?”

“Jongjin, don’t tell him that! I’m not jealous! Yah!” Jongwoon was still trying to take the phone away from the boy, starting to draw attention to the two from the other customers in the restaurant.

Jongjin noticed this and stood up from his chair, he looked at Jongwoon, “Hyung, pay the bill, and I’ll be outside waiting for you,” he grinned before turning back to the phone call with Kyuhyun.

Jongwoon glared daggers at the boy’s back as he disappeared out the door of the restaurant, but sighed to himself when he pulled his wallet out and headed to the front counter to pay for their meals. He just hoped that Jongjin wouldn’t tell Kyuhyun everything he had said about him and Siwon. He didn’t want Kyuhyun to be angry with him for feeling so insecure about their relationship.

After he got the receipt for their meal, he stuffed it and his wallet back in his pocket and headed outside. He saw that Jongjin was leaning up against the outside of the building, no longer on the phone as he waited for Jongwoon.

“That wasn’t a long conversation,” Jongwoon noted, scowling at the innocent smile on the boy’s face, “You didn’t tell him everything, did you?”

“I didn’t get the chance to, I just told him enough, before he had to take care of another one of his schedules. Now let’s head on home, it’s getting late.”

Jongwoon sighed and dropped his head, “You know he’s going to be angry at me for all that you did say, right?”

Jongjin shrugged, “He was confused, to be honest, hyung, and I told him to take better care of you. Even if you two can’t be around each other much now since you’re in service and he’s always busy, but he can make time for the love of his life. Maybe that’s why you were feeling so insecure about him and Siwon.”

Jongjin grabbed his brother’s hand and started off down the street, dragging him along as he led the way to their home. He glanced back at Jongwoon to see the man was still looking down, but now he looked worried and scared. He knew that Kyuhyun wouldn’t be angry with Jongwoon, if anything, that maknae would like crazy for it and probably hold it over his head for awhile but that would be about it.

“Cheer up, hyung, or else, Umma will start interrogating you when we get back home,” Jongjin reminded.

Jongwoon started to shrug but then a small smirk came across his face, “If she does, I’ll just tell you that you’ve been teasing me constantly since I left the shop.”

“Aw, come on, hyung! All I did was for your own good!”

“Yeah, yeah.”

Later on that night, after Jongwoon had retired to his room to get ready for bed, he still hadn’t received any further texts or calls from Kyuhyun. That was kind of depressing for the man, but he knew that with everything going on with Super Junior right now, the maknae was probably still busy with schedules. Once he’d gotten changed into his pajamas and crawled into bed, he checked his social media sites to see if a certain brown haired male had posted anything, only to see that nothing new had been updated.

He sighed to himself, placed his phone on his bedside table, and flipped the lamp off. As he lied there in bed, waiting for sleep to eventually take him, he stared at the ceiling, wondering about everything. Just as his mind was about to start drifting back to the worry of Kyuhyun leaving him for Siwon, his phone started playing his favorite song of the maknae’s again.

Reaching over and quickly opening the message, Jongwoon had to look away to keep the tears at bay. He laid the phone on his chest for a moment, taking a deep breath before he lifted it back up and read the message.

“Jongjin told me you were feeling jealous over me and Siwon-hyung, Jongwoon, and I decided to fix myself up for you. I don’t care for the wig that much, it makes my head itch, but I figured you’d like it since Jongjin said he saw you drooling over my Boy’s Day pictures. This picture is just for you though, hyung, I love you. And just so you know, I’ll never let you live this down; you’re always so cute when you’re jealous, but you know you’re the only one for me, right?

Seriously, I love you, Jongwoon! More than anyone else. Have a good night, sleep well, and dream of only me! ♥”

Attached to the message was a picture of Kyuhyun, in his blonde curly haired wig, that red dress, with his lips puckered up for a kiss, and wink directed towards Jongwoon.

The turtle-loving man couldn’t hold back the smile and tears after reading the text. He didn’t know that Jongjin had told Kyuhyun everything, but it was obvious that he had, even the fact that Jongwoon really liked seeing Kyuhyun in that red dress and those blonde curls. But the whole text message had comforted the man, he felt more at ease, and ashamed that he even felt jealous over the friendship between the maknae and his dongsaeng.

He shook his head at his stupidity, clicked on reply, but not before saving the picture of Kyuhyun along with the message, and sent back the only the thing he could say. “I love you, Kyuhyun-ah.”

Instead of setting his phone back on the bedside table, he clutched it to his chest, closed his eyes, and tried to fall asleep again. The phone wasn’t Kyuhyun, no, it would be so much better if it was the maknae he was holding onto, but instead, he’d have to settle for the closest connection he could with the maknae. His mind had been put at ease now, and when sleep finally took him, he did just as Kyuhyun said, dreamt of only him.

Besides, screw Siwon’s obsession with touching, holding, and hugging the maknae, Jongwoon was the only person that Kyuhyun wanted.

A/N: I began writing right after that picture had been uploaded of Siwon and Kyuhyun and the others, and just now finished it. I'm working seven days a week now but will try to start back writing more so updates might be scarce for a little while. I hope you enjoyed!
