I Did
Hesitation
“Hey,” Xiumin said as he entered his bedroom where Luhan was lying on his makeshift bed, reading in a magazine.
“Yea,” Luhan looked up and smiled at him. “What took you so long?”
Xiumin sat down on the edge of the bed.
“My mother asked me about us.”
Luhan raised his eyebrows and sat up. “Oh?”
“Yes. She... she asked me about... about our... She asked about the full extent of our friendship.”
“Oh,” Luhan said, understanding what Xiumin was trying to say. “Didn’t think we were that obvious.”
“Mmmh,” Xiumin mumbled and they lapsed into an awkward silence.
“So...” Luhan said after a while. “What... What did you tell her?”
“I... I told her that... that we’re a... a... a... a couple.”
“You did?” Luhan asked wide-eyed and Xiumin nodded.
“Yes, yes I did.”
Luhan looked at him in a really strange way for a while before he suddenly leaned forward and kissed him on the cheek.
“Thank you,” he said.
“Thank you.”
