The second chance

Some months later...

"Do you think it's okay?" Chaerin asks while she is fixing the last detail in her daughter's birthday cake. Yes, their little princess is turning her 7 years old and Chaerin is in charge of preparing her favorite cake and invite her favorite uncles. 

After that night, Jiyong insisted for them to come to live with him and in the end she had no choice but to accept it. Hanel was so excited with this. And there's no more denying, Chaerin was also happy.

"Yup, it's her favorite, I'm sure she will love it." Jiyong replies, hugging her from behind and kissing her cheek. Chaerin smiles."Let's see when you'll make me a cake too." he says kidding, watching carefully her expression.

"You have to wait, it's not your birthday yet." she smiles at him and puts the cake in the fridge.

"Okay, I will wait." he laughs and looks out the window to discover the strong rainy day. He had hoped for a better weather this day.. Hanel also is near to the large window, watching as the rain is falling on the ground without stopping. The little girl sighs and goes into the kitchen where his parents are. 

"I would like to go outside." Hanel says, sitting down on a chair.

"Then go, baby." Chaerin replies, taking a glass and filling it with fruit juice, then gives it to her daughter. Jiyong chuckles a little at hear Chaerin's answer. Yes, she doesn't know what is happening outside yet. 

"But mommy, it's raining."

Chaerin is mistook and approaches the window to look outside. Hanel is right, it's raining hard. She also planned to hold the party in the garden, even had prepared the decorations. But no, they will have to celebrate inside.

"Don't worry sweetie, as it stops raining we'll go outside, okay?"

"I don't think it will stop soon, daddy." Hanel says, hugging her father.

Jiyong and Chaerin observe her sad face and become convinced that they should give their best to celebrate in and make a memorable day for her. Also, it is their first time when they celebrate it together. Not forgetting to mention that Hanel is very happy for this, is all that she had always wanted: a family. And now she has one.
Dara and Youngbae arrive first. Dara stays in the kitchen with Chaerin, while Bae accompanies Jiyong and Hanel in the living room.
Chaerin sees how her friend in sitting in a chair staring into nothing without saying a word. She approaches and sits beside her.

"What's wrong?" she asks and Dara stays a few minutes thinking. Before give her answer, she sighs deeply."Have you fought with Bae?" Chaerin asks again, feelig that something is wrong.

"Actually we had a fight. It's because lately, he is talking too much with that new girl who came to the company. I don't like it. We had a discussion about this, but the only thing he told me is that there is nothing and it's just my imagination.." Dara starts to count, containing her tears. 

"Dara, calm down.." Chaerin says, putting one hand on her shoulder.

"How can he tell me that it's just my imagination? If I saw him, Chae. At the company they are always talking and when he comes home, they are still talking on the phone. Besides, yesterday, he took a long time to come home because he had to met her after work." Dara can't hold it anymore and starts to cry in her friend's arms.

"He will have to clarify the things, I'm sure that there is an explanation."

"An explanation for what? I think he doesn't love me anymore.."

Chaerin sighs.. She had also been in a similar situation long time ago. But yes, after so many years of suffering, talking to him helped her realize that is was all a misunderstading. And no, Dara can't go back, she has to talk to Bae and clarify things before it's too late.

"Don't say that. Listen to me, you two have been together for many years. And I know, I'm convinced that Bae loves you and he won't leave you. You need to talk to him. Like you always told me,don't you remember? Each thing has to be done at the right time.. then it may be too late." Chaerin quotes Dara's words. Dara always had told her that words when she was running away from the reality. But now, she has a second chance and she won't depise it. 

"It's hard for me."
