Day 17
Getting to Know You“So do you want to try a new cuisine today?”
“Sure. As long as you don’t poison me. I don’t think I’m up for passing out today.”
“Oh darn it. That goes dinner for today.” When Roffy glared at him, Yongguk grinned at her. “I’m kidding. How could I even think about poisoning you? Do you know how messy that would be? I have to take care of all your remaining things too. No thanks.”
She gave him the middle finger and he arched his eyebrows. “We must really be getting comfortable with each other. Our teasing isn’t even cute and bubbly anymore.”
“Well they say the honeymoon phase doesn’t last very long.”
Yongguk sighed. “I miss the quiet Roffy.”
“Enough of this. What do you want to eat?”
“I was thinking of Ethiopian. It’s time to try something new. I heard they have this really interesting sourdough bread and the meat choices are a lot. I think you’ll like it. Either way, it’s an experience.”
They agreed and drove to the restaurant. The hostess smiled when Yongguk introduced them as a newlywed. “Well, then this must be a new experience,” she said in her slight accent.
They ordered the vegetarian platter and mango juice. The food came and Yongguk gingerly ripped off a piece of the bread and rolled some of the vegetables into it. He spread the dip on it and placed it in front of Roffy’s lips.
“Say ah,” he ordered.
“There are people watching,” she hissed.
“So? This isn’t PDA, this is just simply a husband pampering his wife.”
She squirmed a little but opened . He slid the wrapped flatbread in and she chewed. “How is it?” he asked her.
“Yum,” she nodded. “You eat.”
He looked at her with a glint in his eye and opened his mouth. “Ah,” he said expectantly.
Roffy rolled her eyes and haphazardly rolled a wrap for him. “Hey! I made one nicely for you,” he protested.
“Shush. If you want to be treated like a baby, I’m going to show you my mothering skills.” She waved a napkin. “Would you like to tuck this in your shirt too?” But she was laughing as she fed him the food. His lips clamped over his fingers and he on them suggestively before she pulled out and he chewed.
“What do you say to our feeding each other?”
She looked around the restaurant and saw an older lady glaring at them. Roffy turned back to smile sweetly at Yongguk. “You see, I would, except I don’t think she would approve.”
Yongguk followed her gaze and groaned when he saw the judging lady. “Ugh, these elderlies, forever ruining the moment.” But nevertheless, he still continued to wrap another roll for her. “Open up.”
