Foreword

part one / / l u h a n

Han, more commonly known as Luhan, had just moved over to Seoul from Beijing. Two years of Korean had paid off, and now he was officially going to try all the Korean cuisine and foods that his stepmother gushed about.

With quick footsteps, Han had reached his new house, looking back at his parents eagerly as his father chuckled. "Slow down, Hannie." He hums, marching up with the luggage.  Bending down, he scoops the giggling boy up, carrying him with one hand as he unlocks the door and walks in. "You do know your new name, right?"

"What's my new name?" Han asks, squirming around with a quiet laugh.

"Well, most people in Korea have two-syllable names, so you'll be Luhan from now on, alright?"

"Alright!" He grins, craning his neck back to look at his stepmother. "What's my sister's name gonna be?"

His stepmother walks up and smiles, pressing a kiss against Han—Luhan's forehead, covered in messy bangs. "Lu Hyerin, baby boy. You're going to call her Hyerin, though, okay?"

Luhan squeals in excitement, turning around to give kisses on his parents' cheeks with wide laughter. "I love you, baba, mama."

"I love you too, Luhan."
