2. Welcome Back
ImpossibleChapter 2
Soo Hyun’s POV
I really can’t imagine how I was being dragged in this situation. After being in hiatus for 5 months, I never imagined myself to act again. No, I don’t want to act again. Never. But where am I going today?
The street seems peaceful today, it’s clear. There are no vehicles around, well not that much. Vehicles… cars…
Flashback
“Are you stupid? I told you to quit drinking already! Why are you not listening to me Ji Hyun?!” I shouted at the top of my lungs as I saw 3 bottles of soju on the dining table as I visited her in her condominium unit.
“Can’t you not understand? My life is ruined! My mom, she had cancer! My dad, he gave up on my mom! My siblings never cared for our family. All they want is my money. And to top it all up, I have a boyfriend for 2 years who is 4 years younger than me.” Tears started to run from her eyes.
“I have been a laughing stock since then Soo Hyun. At first, people would look at us and say that we’re cute. They were supporting us since we did that Goddamn drama. But things have changed. People started to insult me over the internet. They say that I’m just an ahjumma prying on young males. It really hurts, it hurts since I really love you.” She kept on crying while lying on the floor. I never imagined that she’s been hurt like this.
“That’s why I told you to stop opening your laptop! Geez, why don’t you listen? You won’t be hurt if you won’t read those articles. We love each other, that’s all that matters, right?” I tried to comfort her but she shoved my hand away.
“No, let’s just breakup. I can’t stand it anymore.” She looked at me straight into my eyes while tears pooled around her hazels.
“No.” I firmly disagreed.
“Stay away from me from now on. I don’t want to see you anymore.”
“Get out.” She added.
“No. Stop saying that. I will never leave you.” I walked near her but she kept on running away.
“You won’t leave? Fine. Then I will.” She rushed through her door and immediately rode the elevator.
As I went outside, I can’t see her anymore. I rode the next elevator and as it opened, I’m already in the basement. I saw her riding her red BMW. Good thing I brought my own car and I didn’t ask my manager to drive me here after my shooting for my drama ended today. She’s quite drunk, this could be dangerous.
I followed her until we reached the main highway of Seoul. I just want to make sure that she’s okay. After sobering up, I know that she will think about what she has said to me and she would realize that breaking up won’t be the best solution.
She was driving really fast, incredibly fast that I need to catch up with her speed. The next thing that happened, well it happened in slow motion. It was blurry. I don’t want to remember it anymore.
“Jeon Ji Hyun!”
End of flashback
Going back to the network is still really fascinating for me. I never thought that I will still go back here. There are a lot of people outside. I can see fans roaming around and waiting for their “idols”. For this is my “comeback stage”, as my manager would tell me, I didn’t enter the main doors of the building. Instead, we entered the back door so people would be surprised as they will see me again in their small screens.
I can’t help but chuckle when I remember how Jongki Hyung convinced me to act again.
Flashback
“Soo Hyun-ah, jebal. It’s only you I can trust.” Jongki pleaded with his puppy look.
“Shiro. I don’t want to act again Hyung. Why not get the role? You’ll be with her 24/7. That doesn’t sound bad. Maybe you’ll get her now since you’ll be together for a long time.” I encouraged him, but I guess, I just stepped on the wrong nerve.
“Ani. I did that already. We’ve already done so many projects together. She has been an active guest of Runningman ever since. But nothing! She just dumps me even if I have been very nice to her. So please, do this for me.” He really sounded pitiful and… hurt? Well, I don’t want to act anymore but I can’t let this Hyung of mine be miserable for all his life. Whoeve
