It was a shame it had to come to this.
Pulling the car over, he sighed heavily. What was the point of leaving angrily if he had to call back and ask for directions? Especially after leaving the way he did.
Wow, that made Eli’s stomach churn. But as he looked out the window at the passing cars, he couldn’t really tell where he was. In his hurry to leave, he took a different route. He had been full of rage and confidence that no matter what, this road was good.
Fast forward forty minutes later and here he was. Stuck on the side of the road not knowing how to get back home.
Pulling out his cell phone, he sighed as the one signal bar left shined bright up at him. Eli contemplated calling some other friends. But who?
Hoon? No, he was out with his girlfriend tonight.
Dongho? No, he was traveling out of town to the mountains for a family weekend retreat.
Damn.
Taking a huge breath, Eli grinded his lower jaw and dialed the one number he thought he’d be rid of after this night.
Kevin picked up on the second ring.
“Eli? Hello? Where are you?”
