Chapter Five

It was another cursed school day. Hyuna arrived to school earlier than usual, wearing her usual look of tiredness. She didn't even bother to tie up her shoulder-length hair, but as expected, no one said anything to her about it. As she walked down the hallways, students would only glance at her and gossip later behind her back, while teachers would pretend as if she wasn't there. Muttering along the lines of, "the am I even here...", the girl made her way to her spot of the school: the fire-escape staircase. The girl liked that place ever since she first stepped foot on it. She felt a sense of peace and quiet there, one that cannot be felt anywhere else in this chaotic school compound. And that was one of the reasons why the girl claimed it to be her spot, where nobody was allowed to enter; where the girl can finally get a wink of sleep.

The familiar small click sounded, and Hyuna pushed the door open gently, closing it behind her back. She trudged her way down the steps, stopping at the bottom. The girl let her tattered schoolbag drop to the ground, before crouching down and pulling her legs to her knees, resting her head on top of them. Her head was pounding from the lack of sleep, for the girl didn't even catch a wink of sleep of last night's activities. While 4minute had gone out to settle some business as usual, Hyuna had requested for her to be excused, with the reason of wanting to catch up on her sleep. That was a lie, however. The girl didn't have time for sleep, for she had her own business to take care of. Yoon Yongchan. With her eyes still closed, Hyuna smirked satisfyingly as she recalled the small, but impactful encounter with the said man last night, or earlier that morning to be specific. Her thoughts were however, to her absolute surprise, interrupted by the sound of a click, followed by the soft closing of a door, and what shocked her the most was the light footsteps descending down the steps after that. She jerked her head up, squinting her eyes to clear her vision. 

Him again. She flatly thought.

"The are you here again." Hyuna gro
