Chapter 2

Whatever it takes, I need to wait
So will you please take a step closer to me?

"Jiyoung!". Ayoung was puckering her lips, when they were to in the room. "why you're so lucky to have him here?"

She peered over her shoulder and cracked a bitter smile on her lips. "Ayoung, don't tell me you're not liking Yongguk anymore". I'm not lucky girl, I'm lucky person that has nothing to do with him, intimately. We're both having benefits from each other. 

She had already in fully attire, beautiful and white gown attached on her slim figure, classy-like appearance with elegant looks on her. Taking steps to Ayoung carefully, she held on both bottom sides of her gown.

"Yongguk never asks me to marry him". Intently, Ayoung waved her hands in the air, causing Jiyoung to give her a small smile.

Jiyoung chuckled lightly. Both are her friends and she always prayed for their happiness. She knew Yongguk, that guy was really in love with Ayoung, that he choose to take time before going into another stage. 'Going slowly isn't bad thing'. Yongguk always said like that when they talked about marriage. But, she knew his inner side well. He wanted all things for Ayoung and Ayoung was much lucky, than her actually.

Sighing silently, Jiyoung put her hands on top of Ayoung's shoulder. "he's still waiting for the right time".

"Yeah, if he hears he will take it a a compliment". Ayoung rolled her eyes jokingly. This time, her hands were working on Jiyoung arms as she gave her a pink and white bridal bouquet, carefully she turned her body slowly several times to get better look on her friend. 

"but Jiyoung.. these flowers aren't my expectation". Ayoung held on her wrists suddenly. "I thought you were going to choose red roses".

Jiyoung shrugged it off. "I have something different for my self". This wasn't her dream ; married to a guy she's loving for but a guy she just needed to know, obligated to obey to his rules.

The vows were said. Both of them were finished with vows.

Total of fake vows.  

“by the power bestowed on me, I affirm, the both of you now are husband and wife”.

Jiyoung closed her eyes in real tight, as her world got dark surrounding with sounds of clappings and congratulations heard at all sides in the place. She wanted it colored in dark ; while forming thinkings in herself ‘this all is a dream’ and ‘this can’t kill me’ repeatedly in her lunatic mind. That was all she knew. Pretending is the best way I can give to bad things around me.

But this isn’t a dream. Still, she had able to come to realize, to admit, this marriage wasn’t a dream. It wasn’t a lie. It wasn’t a nightmare. It was real, vivid, it was a reality for her to accept this was a fate to her to bring in the age of  23 years old.

She bit hard on her bottom lip, trying to hold back her tears, half of her body becoming numb that she wasn’t realize that he’d been keeping his deep eyes on her.
