Jungkook leaned back on his elbows and looked up at the starry sky, the moonlight brightening the dark gym field around him. He slightly shivered when the cold breeze hit him since he was only wearing a thin white shirt and pajama pants, but it also relaxed his exhausted body.

It was already 1:00 am on a school night and he would have to be up in 6 hours, but he had no desire to sleep. After lying on his bed for almost two hours just staring up at the ceiling with wide open eyes and listening to the loud snoring of his roommate, he decided to come out and sit on the gym field to get some fresh air. 

Jungkook sulked and hugged his legs close to his chest, resting his chin on his knees with a pout on his face. The image of Jimin looking lovingly at Jinyoung was running through his mind and a bunch of ideas were being dragged with it. He knew he shouldn't jump to conclusions but there was an uneasy feeling in him that told him that Jimin was falling in love with Jinyoung. He could be wrong since Jimin doesn't even know who Jinyoung is, but he knew those eyes because it was the same way that Jimin looked at him and V.

Jungkook sighed and closed his eyes, imagining that the wind around him were big arms that was giving him the hug he needed right now. 

"It's a beautiful night." 

Jungkook snapped his eyes open and looked over his shoulder, watching as Jin smiled and walked over to sit beside him on the grass. 

Jungkook raised an eyebrow at him questioningly. "What are you doing here?" 

Jin looked at him. "Shouldn't I be asking you that?"

Jungkook didn't bother answering Jin and turned away, looking back up at the sky. 

Silence filled the air as both the boys sat side by side and enjoyed the breeze and beauty of the stars in the sky. 

"He's not a bad person."

Jungkook looked at Jin with surprised eyes. He and Jin weren't really the closest friends in the world and the fact that the older boy was suddenly trying to converse with him rather than fight him was either a good thing or a bad thing.

"I mean Taehyung. He's not really a bad person." Jin said, slipping his hands into the pockets of his thick sweater.

Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows together in confusion. "What are you trying to say?"

Jin sighed and looked at Jungkook with serious eyes. "What I'm trying to say is that V didn't grow up happily. He came from a ty life that shaped him into the all of you think he is. I do agree that he can be a total at times but he's a sweet and sensitive boy in the inside."

"What do you mean he came from a ty life?" Jungkook felt excitement run through him, curious about V's past that he never even bothered to learn. 

Jin took a deep breath and looked forward, forming the right words in his mind before beginning to tell Jungkook the stories that V used to tell him about his lonely childhood. 

"V lost his dad when he was about 5 years old and from then on, his mom took care of him alone. He had a hard time at school since people would make fun of him for not having a dad, but he would continue to stand tall and work hard at everything he did. His mom was never home since she had two jobs and whenever V would stay up just to see her, she would be too tired and would go straight to sleep. When he was about 12 years old, his mom met another guy and they ended up getting married. His mom was so happy and he was just as happy for her, but it wasn't really the best for him."

Jungkook tilted his head to the side, narrowing his eyes at Jin as he listened to the story intently.

"V thought that since his mom wouldn't need to work two jobs anymore, she would spend more time with him, but she didn't. She kept all her attention on her new husband and his older step brother. She would ignore V and act like he didn't exist at all. Since she was that way, his step dad and brother also pretended that he didn't exist. All they did for him was feed him and send him to school."

Jungkook looked down at the grass, his eyes saddening at the thought of V growing up alone with no one to rely on if he needed help.

"That's when he started to rebel. At the age of 14, he started skipping school and failing his classes in order to get their attention, and he did. They always scolded him and yelled at him, telling him that he was the worst excuse for a son. Other kids would be depressed if their parents got mad at them, but not him. He was happy when they got mad because it meant they were paying attention to him. So from then on, he would do everything to get in trouble at school or just anywhere."

"So they decided to send him here so that they wouldn't need to deal with him anymore. That's why V acts like such an to everyone. He doesn't want to be alone again. He thinks that acting like such an would get everyone to pay attention to him, but he doesn't seem to understand that it's not like that here. He knows that me and J-Hope are here for him, but he's still scared to lose us. So he never listens to us."

Jungkook raised an eyebrow at Jin. "Then why would he push our relationship away? He didn't have just Jimin to trust, but me too. Why would he make me hate him all over again?" 

"Because he cares about you."

Jungkook froze and held his breath.

Jin looked up at the sky. "He treats the people he cares about that way. I don't understand how V works, but I do know that whenever he's scared to lose someone and have them ignore him, he'd rather have them hate him instead of them leaving and ignoring him forever. He thinks that it's easier to leave and ignore a person you love, rather than a person you hate. Which is total bull in my opinion. But he grew up that way. I can't blame him for thinking that way." 

"Why are you telling me all of this?" Jungkook asked with a soft tone. 

Jin faced Jungkook and shrugged. "Just because." 

Jungkook looked up at the sky, staring at a particular star that caught his eyes. It seemed to twinkle much brighter than the stars surrounding it, standing out even if they were all the same. 

Jungkook looked back at Jin. "Can I ask you something?" 

"Sure." Jin said and gave him a small smile.

"If I said I love Jimin and I like Taehyung, would you believe me?" Jungkook asked, biting his lips nervously afterwards.

Jin lightly chuckled. "If I told you that Taehyung loves Jimin and likes you, would you believe me?" He asked, a small smirk on his face.

Jungkook pouted. "No."

The smirk on Jin's face turned into a smile as he leaned closer to Jungkook. "Wrong answer." He whispered and slowly moved away.

Jungkook's eyes slightly widened as he understood what Jin was saying.

"If the two of you were going to separate and try to win Jimin's heart alone, it would've never worked. The three of you are meant to be together and just because it's not like an ordinary two people couple, it doesn't mean it's not as special. If the three of you love and care for each other, it's just as wonderful as any other couple in the world." Jin smiled and stood up, dusting off the dirt that had stuck onto his pants. 

Jungkook watched as Jin walked away from him, his back getting smaller as he got farther away. 

Jin's words began to run through his mind as he looked back up at the star, noticing that two other stars around the one he was previously looking at was twinkling just as bright now. A smile formed on his face as he stood up as well, turning around and planning to head back to his dorm when a figure standing a feet away surprised him.

Jungkook stared at the person with wide eyes. "Taehyung-ah..."

Tears were running down V's face as he met eyes with Jungkook. He had overheard everything that Jungkook and Jin were talking about; from his past, to the question that Jungkook asked. The fear of losing someone was entering him again. 

Jungkook looked at V sadly before beginning to walk towards him slowly, the soft and quiet sobs of the latter growing louder as he got closer him. 

V moved his eyes to look at the ground when Jungkook stood in front of him. "I never wanted to do any of that." He whispered.

Jungkook slightly furrowed his eyebrows at V's remark. 

V looked up at Jungkook, his eyes full of sadness and regret. "If I had the choice to go back in time, I wouldn't do that again."

"What do you mean?" Jungkook asked, taking a step closer to V. 

V wiped his tears away with the back of his hand. "I was young and childish back then. All I wanted was attention."

"Taehyung-ah..." Jungkook softly spoke and moved to rest a comforting hand on V's shoulder. "It's all in the past. Don't worry about it."

V could feel more tears forming in his eyes, causing for him to hold his breath to stop them from falling. He never liked showing his weak side in front of others. He didn't care if he looked weak, but he didn't want to show people that someone like him -a boy who was known as an - had a heart too. He didn't want them to know that he was a good guy because then if they were to ever leave him, it would be easier for them since they would assume that he would be alright with it.

The memory of his family was playing through his mind, causing for him to feel uncomfortable around Jungkook. He never wanted anyone to know about his past, but now Jungkook knew all about it. Though for some reason, he didn't care anymore. 

"Do you think I'm an ?" He whispered, his hands clenching the sides of his sweatpants tightly. 

Jungkook noticed how tense V's body was. He slightly frowned and moved to grab V's hands, carefully placing them into his hold. He couldn't help but feel that their hands were made to fit together. Jungkook had felt the exact same way whenever he held Jimin's hand, but he never expected to feel the same when it came to V. Maybe Jin was right after all. The three of them really were meant to be together. 

"No." Jungkook gave V a warm smile. "After hearing everything from Seokjin, you'll never be an in my eyes again." 

V felt his heart skip a beat at Jungkook's sweet words. "You... You mean it?"

Jungkook nodded in reply, the smile still clear on his face.

V returned the smile, feeling his heart beat faster at the way Jungkook was looking at him. He couldn't help but think that this moment felt perfect. The stars were shining brightly above them; the moon was acting as a spotlight for them; the breeze made their bodies relax; the sight of Jungkook smiling warmly at him made all the sadness disappear in a flash. Jeon Jungkook was the number one target and enemy on his list but he was now one of the few people that V could truly trust, and from the way his heart was beating, Jungkook is also someone he loves. 

*Now I know why Jimin loves you.* V thought and slight squeezed Jungkook's hands. *Don't worry Jungkook. Jimin will love us again.*

A cough brought them back to reality. 

"I could try to get used to this, but it looks really ed up right now." Jin stated, a smirk on his face and his arms crossed over his chest. 

V rolled his eyes and stepped away from Jungkook. "You had to ruin the moment hyung." 

Jin shrugged innocently as he flashed a quick wink at Jungkook. "That's my job."

Jungkook lightly chuckled and shook his head at the senior. 

"Anyway, are you two going to continue staring at each other or actually try to come up with a plan to get Jimin back?" Jin asked, the tone of his voice serious.

Jungkook raised an eyebrow at him. "How do you know about that? I don't remember seeing you at the canteen earlier."

Jin looked at him weirdly. "You were talking to yourself earlier?" He said it more like it was a question.

A confused expression was painted on Jungkook's face.

Jin sighed and looked at V. "What's wrong with you and falling in love with really slow minded boys? First, Jimin never understood anything I talked about with him. Now Jungkook is a total disguised as a genius." 

V laughed while Jungkook frowned angrily. 

"Yah!" Jungkook yelled out in protest. "I'm in a good mood! Don't ing mess it up."

V smirked and wrapped an arm around his shoulder. "Jin hyung also speaks the truth."

Jungkook looked at V with surprised eyes. *Wait... Does that mean he's falling in love with me?* He blushed at the thought and turned away to hide his burning cheeks from V. 

Jin chuckled and nodded in satisfaction. "Damn straight." He stated and turned to meet eyes with Jungkook. "By the way Einstein, you have a habit of talking to yourself without knowing." 

"I do?" Jungkook asked, never really noticing that in the past. He admits that he talks to himself sometimes, but he never knew that there were times when he did it unconsciously. 

"Anyway." V spoke up, pulling Jungkook closer to him. "Shouldn't we get to planning? Besides, I have a bad feeling about that dude with the nice smile." 

Jungkook held in his laugh. "You mean Jinyoung sunbaenim?" He corrected.

V waved his hand at Jungkook. "Whatever his name is."

"Oh ." Jin said, catching both Jungkook and V's attention. "You mean Jung Jinyoung?" 

"Why?" Jungkook asked, an uneasy feeling forming in his stomach.

Jin clicked his tongue while shaking his head. "You guys are fighting with a strong competitor."

"What do you mean?" V asked and narrowed his eyes at V, trying to understand what the older boy was trying to tell them. 

"Jung Jinyoung is not easy. If Jimin really is falling in love with him, you guys have to either get rid of Jinyoung or get Jimin to fall in love with you two quick. Jinyoung is known as the prince of the school since he can win anybody's heart." Jin explained.

"Out of all the ing guys, Jimin had to fall in love with him." V stated in disbelief as he stepped away from Jungkook in frustration.

"Jimin isn't really the best at love if you can't tell." Jungkook retorted, pointing to both himself and V. "I mean, he fell in love with both of us remember?"

"And he's going to again." V smirked evilly at Jungkook.

"If you're planning on making him remember his memories, we can't. We already agreed to start all over again." Jungkook said with a serious look in his eyes.

V scoffed. "We can make Jimin fall in love with us all over again. I heard what hyung said earlier and I agree. If we were to make Jimin fall in love with us separately, it wouldn't work. Deep down inside, I know that Jimin still loves us." V said while emphasizing the word 'us'. 

Jungkook crossed his arms over his chest. "Then what are you planning Kim Taehyung?" 

"Since Jinyoung isn't an easy enemy, we'll have to do both." V moved to wrap an arm around Jungkook's shoulder once again.

Jin nodded in understanding.

"Both?" Jungkook asked in confusion.

"We have to get rid of Jinyoung and get Jimin to fall in love with us again in a blink of an eye." V wiggled his eyebrows at Jungkook.

Jungkook gave him a look. "What are you trying to say?"

"Just follow my lead second best." V confidently replied, pulling Jungkook closer to him.

Jungkook looked at V in disbelief. "What did you call me ?" 

V coughed into his fist, trying to lighten the awkward and tense mood that was growing around them. Jin held a hand over his mouth, holding in the laugh that was threatening to come out.

"I didn't say anything babe." V smiled at Jungkook cheekily. 

Jungkook glared deeply at him. "What did you call me ?" He repeated in a stronger voice after hearing V call him 'babe'. Even if he knew that V felt the same way about him, they didn't officially confess to one another yet. Actually, they haven't really said it to each other directly. 

V sighed in annoyance. "I didn't say anything Jungkook." He replied boredly while emphasizing the other boy's name.

Jungkook smiled in satisfaction. "That's what I thought."

"You two aren't even together yet and you're already acting like a couple." Jin muttered under his breath before calling the other two boys' name. "By the way, what are you two right now?"

Jungkook and V looked at each other, small smiles on their faces. 

"Friends?" Jungkook asked, a hopeful look in his eyes.

V's smiled deepened. "Friends."

*For now anyway.* They thought in unison. 

"Well then, how about we go plan something now? I'm tired of all this lovey dovey bull." Jin stated with a look of disgust and began walking away from the two boys coolly.

Jungkook chuckled and followed after him, leaving V behind to smile at his back lovingly.

"Wait for us Jimin." He whispered, the smile quickly changing into a smirk. "I'm sorry dude with the nice smile, but I guess the competition to win Jimin's heart will have to be two against one."
