Minseok gulped as she stepped toward the soccer field. Baekhyun stood behind, nodding encouragingly when Minseok turned to look at her. Jongdae was standing beside Baekhyun, his facial expression unreadable. 

Minseok hesitantly continued onward toward the rest of the girls that were practicing on the field. She came across the towering team manager, who stood there with a confused, yet joyful expression.

"Min, we were wondering where you were! Why aren't you wearing your practice jersey?" 

"Uh.. Chanyeol.." Minseok coughed awkwardly. 

"What's up?" Chanyeol grinned. He was too bright for Minseok to feel comfortable quitting. How could she quit when this guy is beaming at her like this? 

"I, um.." Minseok gulped again. "I wanna quit." Chanyeol stared down at her with a blank expression before raising a brow.

"You're kidding." Chanyeol replied as soon as he registered what she said. 

"N-Not really..." she answered, fiddling with her thumbs nervously. 

"Minseok, what are you talking about? You're the star player of this team. How could you-- I don't get it." Chanyeol shook his head in disbelief. "You love soccer. Your dad's gonna kill you." Minseok's face contorted into an expression of confusion. "Coach is gonna be pissed, Min."  

"Oh my God, he is so hot..." Baekhyun squealed, grabbing onto Jongdae's arm as she thrashed around exasperatedly. Jongdae raised a brow as Baekhyun stared off at the guy Minseok was talking to. 

"Baek, seriously?" Jongdae shuddered. "He is not your type--"

"Ugh, hello? He is hot as hell. I'm 100% sure he is my type." Baekhyun rolled her eyes. 

"Do you even know him?"

"Nope. Never seen him before." Baekhyun squinted her eyes to see the boy in closer detail.

Jongdae rolled his eyes this time. Of course she wouldn't have. She's always been to busy with guys like Wu Yifan to even notice. 

"Who is he and why is Minseok talking to this hottie?"

"That's Park Chanyeol. He's the girl's soccer team manager." Jongdae introduced him. Baekhyun nodded as she watched Chanyeol from afar, that look evident in her eyes. "When soccer is over, he's on the basketball team." 

"Are you serious?" Baekhyun turned to him in astonishment. She was always at the basketball games, but she never noticed him. Ever. 

"Yeah. I'm serious." Jongdae nodded. "There's a reason for that, though. He's my friend--"

"Oh God." Baekhyun immediately groaned, biting back the urge to face-palm. "He's a nerd, oh my god." Jongdae rolled his eyes once again before continuing.

"Okay, fine, call us nerds, whatever. He's in the chemistry olympiads with me, okay, and--"
