My Unknown Savior

Min Ju`s POV

I am so sorry, So Ra. I really didn´t want to make you wait. But you won`t believe what just happened to me. I mean, I don´t even really know what it was. Was it a miracle? Or destiny?” My mind was just going crazy about meeting Kiseop again. I was still full of excitement and wanted to tell So Ra the whole story, but my thoughts were completely chaotic, so I didn´t know how to start.

Hey, that´s ok. You are here now and we have enough time. It´s weekend.” She smiled at me, trying to hide her confusion. “But, what´s going on with you right now? Did you even listen to what you were saying? If it made sense to you... well, nice for you, but I didn´t understand one word.”

Applause Min Ju! Applause! You talked such nonsense that not even your best friend and soul mate understood what you were saying. That´s not an easy thing to achieve! I tried to calm down a bit and started again. “Sorry, I am just very confused.” She was looking at me with her typical you-don´t-say-face. So I took a deep breath, trying not to freak out again. “So, you remember that we were ice skating yesterday, right?” She nodded in agreement while taking a sip from her coffee.

After some time you went to get something to eat, so I tried to skate a bit on my own.” So Ra raised her eyebrows and tried to to hide a little smile. “Yes, I know. Not a very good idea. But that´s not the point. Somehow I skated to fast and lost my balance. I was about to fall backwards, but there was someone saving me.” When she heard that, she suddenly seemed much more interested.

Who was it? Did you know the person? Yah! Don´t stop talking! It´s getting interesting.” After a short pause, filled with day-dreaming about Kiseop, I continued.

No, I didn´t know him. But he was holding me, watching into my eyes. Aiiish So Ra! It was such a wonderful moment. It didn´t even feel like he was a stranger. But just when I wanted to say something, he continued skating. I couldn´t find him for the rest of the time we were on the ice rink.”

What?!” It seemed like she didn´t want to believe what she just heard. “You finally meet such a person. A person that doesn´t seem to be a stranger on first sight. You you didn´t even ask for his name? How am I supposed to stalk him with you?” So Ra and her “stalking”... Everytime I tell her about a person I met (doesn´t matter if it´s a guy or just the neighbor of my grandma -.-'') she tried to find out EVERYTHING about that person. Oooh, my beloved facebook!

Yes. I mean... no. Just let me finish my story first, ok? Anyways, I couldn´t stop thinking about him the whole time and I thought I would never see him again. Because, as you already noticed, I didn´t even know his name. But now I tell you the highlight of the story!” I paused for a second and So Ra leaned a bit forwards, slowly taking another sip of her coffee.

Highlight?” Oh, no. That wasn´t So Ra´s voice. Not at all! It was Eli. He was a waiter of the café and since we went here pretty much every weekend, we became friends after some time. “Just keep on talking, Min Ju. I won´t interrupt you. I just have my brake right now, so I thought I would sit down here for a while.” He smiled at me.

Sure, sit down. I am nearly finished with my story.” I smiled back. Why does he always have his brake, when I am about to tell something important? He just had a talent for being there, if you don´t want him to be there. It´s not that I didn´t like Eli. No! He was a very funny and kind person, but he really likes to talk. And if he starts talking once, there is no chance to stop him. Staying calm, I turned over to So Ra again.

So, I was on my way to meet you and I was still thinking about that guy from yesterday.” Eli raised his head. “A guy? Who was it? Did you know him?”

ELI!” So Ra and I shouted at him and I kept on talking. “I was looking into the shop windows when I suddenly stumbled over something. It was just like yesterday... I was about to fall backwards when someone caught me.” They were both looking at me in amazement. “When I looked at the person who saved me I saw that it was the guy from yesterday.

And that was the moment when So Ra exploded. “What?! Are you serious? That´s a miracle! Or destiny? I mean...” She started to stutter, just as I did when I arrived at the café.

Do you understand me now? It was just.... aish, I don´t know either. Anyways, he invited me to go to a café with him. That´s why I forgot about our appointment.” The waitress arrived and brought me my chocolate cake. Oh chocolate cake... I guess I will never be able to eat chocolate cake without thinking about Kiseop anymore. Well, could be worse, right?

So Ra was still speechless. And Eli? How could he ever be speechless? “So, how was your date? Was he kind? Did he pay for you? Did you get along well? Why don´t you say anything?” I blushed a bit, hearing him calling it a date. Oh, Eli. If you would give me the chance to say something, I would probably tell you everything you want to know, but well, that´s Eli in his original form.

First of all, it wasn´t a date, ok? We don´t know each other... It was just a... just a... aish I don´t know. But don´t call it date! And yes, he was very kind. I could even say that he was a real gentleman. You know, things like opening the door for me or paying... He did that kind of stuff.” I took a bite of my chocolate cake. It was tasty... But not as tasty as the cake I ate a short time ago. I am not sure if it was about the cake, or about Kiseop feeding it to me... It might be both... I guess. “We got along very well. We laughed a lot and we even share some interests. Could you believe this, So Ra? He is a dancing teacher. A dancing teacher!”

Really? That´s awesome! You have to meet him again. Did you get his phone number?” I nodded at her, blushing a bit. “Very good!” For a moment everything was silent. Nobody said a word- not even Eli. I was a bit embarrassed so I continued eating my cake without looking at the others who were exchanging glances.

Min Ju, I think we have to do some research!” She gave Eli the money for her coffee and my cake and grabbed my hand. I was confused. Who met a guy? Me or her? “But my cake, and Eli and...”
“That´s not the last chocolate cake you will eat and I think Eli will survive without us. Come on!”

I am sorry, Eli. You know So Ra, right?” He couldn´t help but laugh. “Sure, no problem. I expect some news next time!” He shouted while So Ra was literally pulling me out of the café.

Kiseop´s POV

Hyung, I´m back!” Soohyun was sitting in front of the TV watching a new drama when I arrived home. “Sorry that it took me so long, but there was some kind of... incident that held me back.” I couldn´t help but smile.

Hey, good thing you are finally back. I am getting hungry. But... an incident? What happened?” He seemed confused. Normally I was always on time so he must have been a bit worried. I sat down next to him on the sofa and turned off the sound of the TV

--- --- ---

I told him the whole story about the ice rink, that I only thought about her and that I met her again today. We talked about our conversation in the café and that we exchanged our phone numbers. I smiled the whole time. Soohyun seemed to realize it what made me blush a bit. But I didn´t really care. Soohyun was like an older brother for me and I could tell him everything.

--- --- ---

Later on Kevin finally came back from work. He was working in a fashion shop and presented some new clothes he got there. After that, we decided to cook something together. While we were cooking I told Kevin about Min Ju. He totally freaked out. That´s so typical for him. I don´t know how often I heard that sentence already... “We have to do some research later!”
