No Means No
Runaway Angel
Dahee stared at the note in her hand.
It had been two weeks since the angel had last encountered the angel warrior. She thought she had lost him, but boy was she wrong.
We need to talk. I’ll be waiting at the Han River for you. I’m not leaving until we have a proper talk. – M
“He even knows where I’m staying.” Dahee whispered as she folded up the note.
“Dahee-ah, what are you doing?” Yongguk asked.
The angel turned around and hides the note behind her, “Nothing. Um, can I perhaps stay in the dorm today?”
Yongguk blinked at her, “You don’t want to come with us today?”
Dahee looked around the room, “Um, it’s just…I’m a little tired.”
“Are you feeling well? You’ve been a little antsy these past two weeks. Did something happen?” Yongguk asked.
Dahee quickly shook her head, “No nothing happened. I don’t think I can keep up with the idol life that’s all.”
Yongguk chuckled, “The idol like is pretty hectic. I’m sure an angel like you has never been so busy in your life, huh?”
The angel let out a soft laugh, “Yeah I guess you could say that.”
The leader smiled and patted her head, “You can stay. Just don’t leave the dorm. I don’t want you getting lost again, okay?”
Dahee nodded, “Thanks Yongguk oppa.”
“What are you thanking Yongguk hyung for?” Daehyun asked stepping out of the bedroom.
The leader and angel turned to look at the idol.
“Dahee’s going to stay in the dorm today.” Yongguk informed.
Daehyun looked over at Dahee, who couldn’t meet the idol’s eyes. “You’re not going to leave, are you?” He asked.
Dahee shook her head not trusting her voice because for some reason Daehyun seemed to have her speak the true unconsciously.
“Are you sure?” The idol narrowed his eyes at the angel.
Yongguk clasped a hand on his shoulder, “Where are you going with this conversation, Daehyun? Do you not trust Dahee?”
“No, it’s not that. I’m just worried.” Daehyun threw a glance at Dahee, who still wouldn’t meet his eyes.
“Calm down Daehyun. Dahee already promised me that she won’t go anywhere. She wouldn’t break that promise, right?” Yongguk turned to Dahee, who glanced up at the leader and nodded in agreement.
However, Daehyun still had this feeling that something was going to happen when they weren’t there.
“But hyung what if-”
“Alright! Let’s go!” BAP’s manager stepped into the dorm cutting Daehyun off.
The other four members came piling out of the bedroom.
Zelo skipped over to Dahee and linked arms with her, “Come on noona.”
“Uh, I’m not going Zelo.” Dahee stated sheepishly.
The four members who weren’t there to hear the conversation earlier turned to look at the angel.
“What do you mean you’re not going?” Himchan frowned.
“I just want to rest today that’s all. The idol life is kind of too hectic for me.” Dahee gave him a meek smile.
“Are you sure you don’t want to come, noona?” Jongup asked.
Dahee nodded, “I’m sure. You guys go on and practice.”
“You can relax while we’re practicing.” Youngjae suggested.
“That’s a good idea!” Daehyun snapped his fingers as he turned to the angel. “You can relax while we practice.”
Dahee shook her head, “No it’s okay. I don’t want to disturb you guys while you guys are practicing. I’ll just stay here.”
Daehyun opened his mouth to speak again, but their manager clasped a hand over his shoulder. The idol turned to look at the older male, who shook his head.
“Don’t force Dahee to go if she doesn’t want to go.” He said softly.
Daehyun heaved a sigh and nodded in understanding.
The manager turned to Dahee, “Call if you need anything or if anything happens, alright?”
Dahee looked up at the older male and nodded, “I will.”
The manager nodded then turned to BAP, “Alright, we need to go or we’re going to be behind schedule.”
BAP slipped on their shoes and headed out the dorm waving at Dahee, who waved back.
When the door finally closed, the angel heaved a sigh in relief. She placed a hand over her heart, “I thought Daehyun oppa was going to see right through me.”
Dahee pulled out the note that she was hiding behind her. She opened it and reread the writing, “I guess I don’t have a choice but to go and meet him. It’s best to end this sooner than later.”
“Daehyun, pay attention. You’re missing a step.” Yongguk frowned.
Daehyun dropped to the ground, “Sorry hyung. I’m just worried about Dahee.”
Youngjae rolled his eyes, “We’re all worried about Dahee noona. You’re not the only one.”
Daehyun leaned back with his arms supporting him, “I know but still. I have this feeling that something is going to happen.”
“What kind of something, hyung?” Jongup asked.
Daehyun shook his head, “I don’t know but just something.”
“And if you’re wrong?” Himchan questioned.
“Then I’ll take the consequences.” Daehyun replied.
“You do know that we’re going on tour soon, right?” Yongguk asked.
Daehyun looked up at the leader and nodded, “I do.”
“And you’re the main vocal, you know that.” Yongguk stated.
“Yes.” Daehyun answered.
“If you don’t have your verses and the choreography to the songs perfect, you’ll be punished, alright?” Yongguk looked at the younger male, whose eyes lit up.
“Really hyung, really?” Daehyun scrambled to his feet.
