Pluviophile.

Tao nonchalantly walked out of the out of the room, hiding his anxiety as memories flushed their way back into his mind. The rain drops pierced his skin like glass, making his fringe stick to his forehead as he walked toward the shed at the back of school grounds. Hiding under the small cover in which it offered. He felt sick to his stomach, head pounding as he began a battle with his insides. He couldn't breathe, memories flooding back and tears threatening to fall, the lining of salty liquid blurring his vision, those tears had been swimming behind his eyes for a while now. Searching for a reasons to fall and destroy this fearless image he displayed. He was in no way fearless, he was empty. Fueled by the need to uphold this reputation of a bold courageous nature. He squatted, back leaning against the cold tin of the shed,a small layer of sweat covered his neck, heated skin tingling as droplets of rain attacked the exposed flesh. Head between his legs, struggling to control this panic attack that threatened to consume him.

Breathe.

Breathe.

Your okay, just Breathe.

Your fine.

Breathe.

Slowly he won the battle over the weight threatening to crush his chest, lungs opening to their full expanse once again. He regained his lost breathe, his mind, his will power betrayed him though, let himself fall back into that dark tunnel of despair. He hated this side of himself. The weakness, the vulnerability, it's what he really was. He despised it.

He still feel uncontrollably hot, undoing multiple of his school uniform buttons to expose pale skin, marked and blemished by pink raised scars. Scars that never let him forget what happened that night. He was eternally tainted by them, his skin was scrawled with marks that left his surroundings with intangible meanings. That night, he learned that people often forget that others are human. That night he forgot that others were human. He learned that morality meant nothing, that life was a mere game, a game in which only the strongest survived. He learned that humanity was but a choice in which most people faked. He learnt that people lie, greed was inevitable and pain was the only feeling he understood. Pain and then this numbness, a state of mind in which he found comfort.

He searched his pocket for his phone and pack of smokes, his hands were still shaking so he checked to see if his face was still flushed, He found that he was abnormally pale, he hair was slicked against his face and sweat was covering is forehand. Signing, he ran a shaky hand through his wet hair, drawing a cigarette from the packet, struggling to light it in the damp air. Finally he succeeded, letting out a held breath as he welcomes the smoke into his lunges, begging it to push him a little closer to the edge of oblivion. Resting his head back against the shed, he savored the burning feeling in his chest for a little while longer before hearing a rustling sound from around the corner. He saw the flash of sandy colored hair, and the blur of a figure that resembled perfection, though he knew that was impossible. Tao met Kris' eyes, and the elder stuttered a breathe. He studies the face in front of his, a face pretending indifference towards him. Kris' eyes lingered on the scars covering the pale skin of the couching boy's neck.God, they were hideous. Pink, raised and completely exposed. He knew what they were from and he knew he was the cause, He felt disgusting, sick from the realization. Guilt played with the contents of his stomach.

"Something interesting?" Tao spoke, bitter words breaking the pregnant silence. Tension evident between the two boys. Tao knew what Kris was staring at and quickly moving to cover the scars, redoing the buttons of his white school top.

"n-no nothing at all" short of breathe, air stinging his eyes, he was so tired. He felt as if he might pass out.

Tao's eyes traveled up and down the elders body, judging stare as he evaluated the change in his old friends, if that what they even were back then. The elder had died his hair a darker dirty blonde, shoulders were significantly wider, sculptured chest rose and fell underneath the tight expanse of the perfectly presented uniform. Kris' legs were longer, his skin was tanner and his voice deeper, but his constant serious expression was exactly the same. Tao held the open packed of smokes toward the elder, a peace offering of sorts, he supposes.

"ahh, no thanks. I quit a while ago". Tao scoffed.

"You really have changed"

"Apparently I'm not the only one" Kris replied softy, and Tao couldn't hold in a laugh. Of course he had changed. After what happened, after what Kris did to him. Did the other actually expect him to be the same old soft spoken, shy boy he left behind screaming on the pavement. Left pathetic and weak, exposed to the enemy.

"Defiantly not" Tao stood , pushing past the elder and walking back across the soccer field toward the schools main building. Kris couldn't help but stare at the retreating back of the Tao he once knew. He couldn't help but notice they way the boy walked had changed, they way he spoke had changed, his voice now husky and screamed hatred for the world. He knew that hatred was sparked by himself. Tao was still beautiful though. The blonde hair enhanced the deepness of his intense dark eyes, he hand grown into his previously lanky limbs and his body was now covered in lean toned muscle. Kris knew what he was thinking was simply disgusting, stupid and ironic, but he wanted that boy. He wanted him to be his. His old possessive nature began to boil in the bottom of his stomach. His old self seeping though this separate personality he created in order to hide his past. His ugly, depressing past. He knew wanting Tao would mean trouble, but this excitement that was flowing through his veins was addictive. This vixen of a boy named Tao, enticed him, this new proud and arrogant boy needed to be his.
