Suho POV

Huh I hope we’ll reach our destination in the next few minutes. I mean I really love Xiumin but sometimes he’s so annoying especially if he starts to talk about his mystical things. “Hyung! ^x^ Do you think we’ll see witches, trolls or unicorns in the forest?!”, asks Xiumin with hope filled eyes. Huh! I hate it to pull him back into reality. “No Mini~ That’s just a normal forest next to our excursion!” “Eh?...>3< But this is exactly the forest that's written in this book. And it says that there lives a pure and beautiful unicorn.”, pouts Xiumin. It was so clear that he wouldn’t listen to me. “Xiu-“ “-For sure we’ll see a unicorn. They may be shy but I think they will show themselves to you!”, means Chen and pinches Xiumin’s cheek. Why does Mini have to be friends with Chen?! He just supports him with those stupid fantasies! “But Suho said-“ “-Forget that! The granny doesn’t know anything!” “Yah!!! I-I’m not a granny!!” Tsh! Really I’m not old. I turn away from those two laughing idiots and stare out of the window. Is Xiumin right?! Does something like magic….exists??...No that’s impossible!! Now I also start thinking like those two!! That shouldn’t happen! Somebody needs to see the reality and….EH?! Is that?? I push myself tighter against the window and stare at the forest…a…u-unicorn?? T-that can’t be! I rub my eyes and blink before I look again into the forest….Huh!!! Nothing…I have the feeling that Xiumin’s story slowly start to consume me. I think I should lay myself down when we reach our place! It was a tiring ride!! I lean back and start massaging my temples. “So we’ll reach the camp in a few seconds!! Start to pack your things and don’t forget to put your trash away!!”, means our class teacher through the microphone. Finally!! We pack our things together and after 5 minutes we can leave the bus. Wow…we’re totally cut off from the world. Around us is just forest…nothing else then a forest!! I’m so thankful that we just stay for today!! This is somehow really scary here!! “Suho~~”, shouts Xiumin and I push my thoughts aside. “Y-yes?!”, I ask him a little bit perplexed. “Would it be okay if I pair up with Chen?! Pleaseeeee~”, begs Xiumin. “Huff….Sure!^^”, I his hair before he happily jumps away. Aish, little squirrel…I hope they won’t do anything stupid. Well I take my back and sit on a bench. I will see who’s the person that also won’t have a partner! I close my eyes and enjoy the peace. As if this place would be out of a book….but actually the forest should be beautiful and not scary!! “SUHO!!!”, shouts somebody. “Chen really?! Do you have to shout like that?!”, I ask him as I open my eyes. Bye beautiful peace. “I’m sorry but please tell me that Min Min is here?!!!”, asks Chen panicly. “No he’s not! He told me that he wanted to go with you!!...Why?!” Somehow I have a bad feeling!! “Because I can’t find him! I searched everywhere and asked everybody but nobody saw him. I think he ran into the forest to show you that unicorns exist.” “WHAT?!...No…no this can’t- Okay! Listen!! You go now and tell the teachers what happened!!! And I go and try to find Xiumin!”, I take my back and walk into the forest. “But Suho!! SUHO!!”, shouts Chen but I won’t listen to him!! I need to find my baby! He’s so alone!! And he doesn’t know anything about the forest. “XIUMIN!! XIUMIN WHERE ARE YOU!?”, I shout through the forest but there is no response. Oh god I hope he’s alright! I could never forgive myself if something happens to him. Ah!!....”W-what was that!?! X-Xiumin?! Are you there?!....If it’s you X-Xiumin then come out!! X-xiumin?? Xiu-AHHHH!” KYA!!! THERE IS SOMETHING IN MY HAIR!!!!! I hit around myself and start to run. Not important to where as long as I’m far away from this thing. How could I be so stupid to go alone into the forest!? I don’t want to die!! “AHH! Ouch!!” …I fell over a stone. God my leg hurts!!! I hold my ankle.. “Ngh….HELP!!! PLEASE….help me!!”, I shout into the forest even if I know that nobody will hear me. …. “Ah!! W-who’s there?! W-who are you!!”, I cry because I’m scared and the sounds won’t stop. I close my eyes and can hear how the noise comes nearer until it’s gone. I listen again before I slowly open my eyes. OMO!! “T-that c-can’t be ture!”, in front of my eyes stands a beautiful white horse with a cornet….a unicorn…No! This can’t be true….this must be my imagination!! I close my eyes and shake my head before I open my eyes again and it still stands in front of me. “Don’ be scared of me! I won’t hurt you!!”. I suddenly hear a voice. “Who…who speaks there!! S-show yourself!!!”, I look around to find somebody who’s hiding but I can’t see anyone. “I’m here! I’m in front of you Suho!!” “What?!”, I look with wide eyes at the unicorn or horse in front of me. “That’s not possible!...Do you s-speak to me!?” I can’t believe that I really asked an animal!! “Yes! Don’t be scared! I will help you!”, means the animal and touches my ankle with his horn. “W-what?!”, as it touches my ankle it begins to shine in a bright light and I have to cover my eyes before the light disappears and the horse lifts his head. “What did you do?!”, and full of fear I touch my ankle and…and it doesn’t hurt anymore. I-I can move it and no sign about the scratches. Full of disbelieve I stare at the animal. “What are you?!”, I ask. “I’m the last unicorn!!”, answers the animal. …. “Okay..okay…let’s start from the beginning….you can speak…your super white and there is something on your head….and you healed my ankle… …Let’s say it’s the reality and not a dream what I actually think it is! Maybe I fainted and now I’m dreaming or I just imagine all of that and actually talk to a tree…Why are you showing yourself to a human?! Shouldn’t you be scared of me or something like this?!” “Well Suho you already saw me once!! But your disbelieve made it impossible for you to see me again!! And without that somebody believes in us we’ll die! That’s the reason why we show ourselves to some people so that they start to believe again! And you’re no danger for me!”, means the horse. “Aha! Okay…beautiful! Hey I saw you now I believe in you!! Well now excuse me I have to go and find my friend!”, I stand up and want to go. “We already brought your friend back to his camp!” “What?!”, I turn around and look confused at the horse. “The spirits of the forest showed him the way out!! But we can’t let you go!! Because if you go back and wake up tomorrow you’ll think that this was just a dream and that we don’t exist!” “Of course this is just a dream!! You can’t be real!! You only exist in story’s and movies! By the wa-NGH!!” OMO!!...My stomach…Why does it have to make noises right now?! “Are you hungry?!”, asks the fake unicorn. “W-well….yes! >//>” “Then follow me!!”, means the horse and starts to walk away. …No!! I will never follow a speaking horse!!...Ngh…b-but my stomach!!...Fine! “Wait!!”, I run after him until I can walk next to the horse and I can’t stop looking at the creature!! It’s so beautiful. Especially his eyes!! “We are there!!”, means the horse suddenly and I look straight at a clearing. “Wow…that’s incredible!! “Go and get yourself something to eat!” “Yeah…t-thanks!!”, I go to the bushes with so many different fruits and start to take some of them. Does he want some to?! My view lands on the “unicorn” and I start to smile lightly! Even if this is just an imagination at least I got something to eat so it can’t be wrong to give him some of those fruits. I take a lot of those berries and go back to the horse. “Here for you!”, I hold a hand full into his direction. “Thanks!...You don’t have to do that!”, means the…the unicorn and eats the fruits. “Well you also didn’t had to heal my ankle but you did!”, I smile and eat my fruits. That’s so delicious. “That’s the first time someone did this to me!!”, means the unicorn suddenly. “Eh?!...You mean giving you …something to eat!!”, I ask. “Yes!!” “Oh…okay…” That’s mean….but what should I say now?! “We should rest now it starts to get dark!!”, means the unicorn suddenly. Oh no!!!...We actually wanted to drive home tonight….I hope the others don’t worry too much!!!...”Unicorn?! C-can I cuddle with you!? I’m freezing!!”, I ask shyly and wait for his answer. “Yes!! Come here!!” Thanks god!! I lay myself against the unicorn and immediately it gets warmer. “From where do you actually know my name!?” “Well your friend shouted your name through the forest as he couldn’t find a way out!” Yeah!~ That totally sounds like Xiumin!!I hope he’s fine!!” “It looks like he’s someonr important to you!!” “Yes! He’s like a second little brother for me!! I could never forgive myself if something would happen to him. My view goes over the clearing until I look at the unicorn. “What is your name?!”, I ask curiously. “I…don’t have a name!!”, he answers. “What?!...But everybody has a name!!” “No!! We don’t have names! We’re just unicorns.” “Well…then I give you a name!~ How about….about…” I look into his eyes….they are so deep and warm and some kind of sensitive…”How about Lay?!” “Lay?....I like that name!!” “Really?!~ Hihi~ Then it’s official now~ You’re Lay the unicorn!!” “Haha~ Thanks!!” “No problem!!” After that there is silence between us and it’s really uncomfortable. “…Lay?!...Can I touch it?!”, I ask and it looks like the unicorn is thinking about it. “Yes!” I smile and slowly touch his cornet and I can feel a lot of different feelings and see a lot of things he had seen. I let go of it and I’m surprised. “Wow!”, is the only thing I can say. “Now let’s go to sleep!” “Arraso!” I lay my head against Lay and slowly start to fall asleep.

“Uhh~”, the next day I open my eyes and look to my side. “Oh! Lay?!”, the place next to me is empty and I stand up immediately. Where is he?! “That wasn’t a dream!! I know it! Where is he?! Lay??!”, I look around. “Good morning!” “Eh?! There you are!”, I mean relieved and hug his head. “…Mian…I-I though you…well you know!”, I stutter! “I know!...You’re unusual!! Normally if the humans wake up they think it was all just a dream or they are still in a dream!!” “Well~ >//<”, I don’t know what I should say but that was a compliment…right?!...”GUUUUU!” “Eh?” KYAAA!! That’s the monster from yesterday!!”, I jump behind Lay and hide myself. “Eh?!....Haha~ Don’t worry! That’s not a monster! That’s my friend!! It’s an owl!” “Eh?!”, I slowly come out and he’s right…it’s just an owl. “W-why did it attacke me yesterday?!” “Because you chased my food away!!” “EH?!...Mianhae!!” “Whatever! Unicorn! They are here again!! They’ll try to catch you too!”, means the owl. “Hey his name is Lay!!”, I tell him. “His what?!”, asks the owl and makes cute movements with his head. “My name!! He gave it to me!!” “…I…I also want a name…Give me a name too!!” “Oh a-alright!”, I look at the owl…hm~ “DO!” “…DO?! What does that mean?!” “Well…it…it hasn’t a special meaning~ It just fits you!!”, I tell him. “Okay…DO…I’m DO…hehe~” “Ah?!...Now I have a question…who wants to catch you?!”, I ask and hope that I don’t sound to worried. “Well we call them Dream-Catcher! Those are humans who try to catch some mystic creatures and hope that they’ll make their dreams come true or that they’ll get a lot of money for us. “That’s ridiculous!!” Grr…how dare those people! Trying to catch my Unicorn!...Wait my Unicorn?! And why do I get so angry?! Omo…”D-did the…the other unicorns disappeare like this?!”, I ask quietly. “Some of them! But what those humans don’t know is if one of us leaves the forest….it will die!” WHAT?!...No…”That can’t happen to you!!! You need to hide yourself! Come on!!!” “Don’t worry! They won’t get me! They never got me! But now I’ll bring you back!” What?! “NO!!....W-well I…I mean don’t we have some more time?!”, I ask hopefully. I…I don’t want to go…I want to stay with him… I don’t know why but I don’t want to leave him! “I’m sorry but you can’t stay any longer! You believe in us now so our job is done! That’s the rule!” “Oh yeah sure! Then let’s go!!” Damn. I should have shut my mouth!! I follow Lay slowly and with a hanging head. “Aren’t you lonely?”, I suddenly ask him. “No! I have my home and my friends! I’m happy!” “Good!” Well at least that! If he’s happy then I’m too! “We are there!” “Ah! Already!....A-arraso!!”, I take a deep breath. “That means Goodbye now…right?!”, I smile sadly. “Yes!” “I-KYA!!”, damn what was that?! A stupefactive venal came out of nowhere. …Wait!! That wasn’t for me but…”Run! Run as fast as you can back to your camp!” “But what will happen to you?!” “Don’t worry! I can handle this!!”, and with that Lay runs away and those Dream-Catcher after him. I start to run into the direction where our camp is. Why do those stupid tears won’t stop falling?! I’m nearly there as I hear a shot. “Ngh….No!! Lay!”…What if he’s hurt!!? I look to my camp and then into the direction from where the shot came! I…I can’t leave him alone! I don’t know how this could happen and why but I think I fell in love with him. I run as fast as I can! Oh please let him be alright! I reach the place from where the shot came and NO!! “YAH!! TAKE YOUR DIRTY HANDS AWAY FROM MY UNICORN!!”, I shout at those two people before I run to them and jump onto the back from one of them and bite his shoulder. “AHH!”, he shouts while the other one tries to get me down. But suddenly DO appears and also the spirits of the forest and attacke them. While those two run away with the biggest shock of their lives I just stand there and I’m so amazed. “So that are the spirits of the forest!”, I turn around and go to Lay. “Why have you come back?! You’re the first one!!” “Isn’t that clear?! Lay…I…I love you! I know it sounds crazy…but that’s the truth!”, I carefully his white mane. “Suho….You have to go now!” “W-what?! But I-“ “Suho! I’m a unicorn! I don’t feel sadness, happiness or love!” That can’t be…My eyes fill with tears but still I smile. “Arraso! Goodbye Lay!....Now I believe in you!”, I kiss his muzzle and turn around before I leave the forest.

God POV

 Suho didn’t turn around anymore because if he had then he couldn’t have said goodbye. But what he didn’t see was the tear that fell out of Lay’s eye. He’s the first unicorn that feels for the first time pain and sadness in life. “HYUNG!!”, shouts Xiumin who sees that Suho comes out of the forest and runs to him. “OMO Hyung are you alright?! Please forgive me!! That’s all my fault!”, cries Xiumin while he holds Suho’s arm. “Sch~ It’s okay! Let’s just go okay?!” “Hyung?! Are you alright or not?!” “I’m fine…I just lost my heart in the forest!”, with this breaks Suho the hug and walks further. “Hyung!!”

Suho POV

 Goodbye Lay! Godbye!

~3 month later~

“SUHO!! Come down our new neighbours are here!”, shouts my mum. I slowly walk out of my room and down the stairs. “Yeah?!”, I ask my mum. “Here give them the cake! I made it! But I can’t give it to them I have to drive Kai to his school!! You know he’s doing the same excursion like you 3 moth ago!”, with this she gives me the cake and goes. If Kai will see Lay?!...If he’s still alright?!...Does Lay tell strangers his name?!...I walk to the neighbours house and ring the bell. “Yes?!”, a boy opens the door a- OMO!! “Lay?!”, I mumble and look with wide eyes into his deep and warm but also sensitive eyes. “Yeah?!...From where do you know my name and who are you!?”, he asks. “I-I’m Suho…we live next to your house and…this is for you! My mum made it! Welcome!!” “OH thanks!”, he smiles and takes the cake! I can’t believe it…it’s really Lay..or?!...His eyes tell me that’s him!!...”D-do you want me to show you around later?!”, I ask him. “Yeah…sure that would be nice!! How about if I we meet in 2 hours! I have to unpack my things first and then I have time!” “Sounds good!!”, I answer him. “Okay then see you later!~”, he means! “Arraso!!”, I smile before I kiss his cheek and leave him dumbfounded. “Wh-…for what was that!?” “Because I love you~ Lay~ ;)” “You’re strange!”, he smiles! “I know~….But I believe in magic that explains a lot!~”, I go back to my house and see how an owl flies over my head. Thanks DO~ I don’t know what you two did…but I won’t waste my chance~
