Twelve With One
Description
" Being a therapist, you have to make sure that you are always prepared for the worst. You have to make sure that you will not cry in front of a patient because they are allowed to be vulnerable and they are allowed to show their vulnerability and you are not. You cannot be irrational and you have the responsability to help these people."
Clara Watts. That's what she told herself to keep herself sane; the irony of her job.
But sometimes, she found it difficult not to cry. She found it difficult not to have a certain bond with her patients and strictly have this "doctor-patient relationship".
Some of her patients really tested her beliefs and her conscience. They even, at times, made her wonder if she was insane herself.
Yes, some of them.To be exact,
a whole dozen of them.
