Oops
Youngjae stared up at the ceiling, mindlessly touching his stomach as he waited for Daehyun to get back from a family gathering. It felt a little weird to be alone in Daehyun's lush apartment and honestly, he missed the man. He let out a long sigh before forcing himself to get up and out of the bed, walking through the empty apartment. Usually at this time, the two would be sitting at the dinner table eating whatever Daehyun had fixed for them. Though sometimes the conversation was annoying - Do you need help with your homework? Your grades need to improve, do you want me to help you study? - he found himself missing them. It made him laugh; this was just one day and he was already feeling lonely.

Youngjae sat down at the table, glancing at the bookbag he'd thrown onto it earlier. He really didn't feel like doing his homework or studying right now. Nope. Almost as soon as he'd sat down, he got back up and headed towards the front door. The teen pulled on his shoes before making sure he had his phone and grabbing the keys Daehyun had made for him.
He sent a quick text to Himchan, asking him if he wanted to do anything before leaving the apartment and going outside for a walk. He felt his phone buzzing as he stepped outside, rolling his eyes when he read Himchan's reply.

no ing someone rn maybe later

And then he laughed, realizing Himchan had replied in the middle of screwing someone. He sent a 'k' before sliding his phone back into his pocket. The teen shook his head as he walked down the sidewalk. He didn't really know where he was going - he was just walking. He let out another long sigh, wondering why he was feeling so lonely. It was annoying, he liked being alone. Right? Daehyun was stuffy and boring, anyway.

Right.

Youngjae wondered if it was stupid he felt a little hurt the man hadn't invited him to his family event. Sure, logically, he understood why but it still bothered him and he couldn't help but wonder would their baby be invited or would Little Demon just be a dirty secret? He snorted at that - as if he'd let Daehyun do that to them. His baby was a precious jewel, not something to be ashamed of. He couldn't really say the same about himself, though.

The teen grabbed his phone again when he felt it buzzing in his pocket, pursing his lips thoughtfully when he saw that it was his mother calling. Youngjae couldn't remember the last time he'd seen her. Maybe, not since the days he'd been kicked out. "Hello?" He hesitantly answered.

"When do I get to see you again?" She immediately started nagging. "I am still you're mother and it's killing me not knowing where you're even living."

"Um." Youngjae rolled his eyes. "You kicked me out remember?"

"Because I needed time to process things and knew you'd live with Himchan." There was a long pause, neither really knowing what to say until she continued. "You usually come home by now." Youngjae sighed, heading inside a convience store to grab something to drink. It was true - he'd been kicked out quite a few times but they always made up and he'd always eventually come home.

Still, this time he had no intentions of moving back in. It was just too stressful and their personalities clashed too much. He loved her, she was still his mother but living with her just wasn't happening. "I'm not moving back in." Youngjae said as he grabbed a soda out of the fridge. "But, I'll come and visit you today. Daehyun's at a thing so yeah, it'll just be me." He paused, staring at the bottle of soda as Daehyun's nagging about how bad sodas were replayed inside his head.

"Do you need me to pick you up?" Mrs. Yoo asked.

"Nah." Youngjae said, putting back his soda and grabbing a lemon lime flavor seltzer water. "See you in a bit." He ended the call and paid for his drink. It was Saturdayfor 's sake. He should be having more fun than this, not moping around because Daehyun was gone and he was just a little bit hurt he hadn't been invited to some stupid rich people gathering.

The teen unscrewed the lid to his seltzer water, taking a swig of it. I should have gotten a soda. He thought, swishing it around in his mouth. It did taste good though - but, it was Daehyun's favorite drink and right now he hated anything Daehyun related.  your sparkling water, Jung. He thought before laughing at himself.

He just felt really bad.

There was a part of him that wondered if he was someone else, even if they were the same age, would they have been invited? Was it just because he was a student? Or was it because he was... him.

Yoo. Young. Jae.

Youngjae subconsciously pouted. He never felt like this before, sure, he knew he wasn't the smartest or anything like that but he was usually content with himself. I blame you for making me so emotional. He thought, giving his stomach a little pat.

It felt weird to be standing in front of his mother's home, the teen wondering why he thought this was a good idea. He shook his head, heading up the steps and debating on whether he would use his keys or knock. It was still his home too, right? Youngjae pursed his lips, feeling out of place and uncomfortable before finally deciding to just knock. "Hey." Youngjae greeted when his mother opened the door a few seconds later.

"Hi, baby doll." Mrs. Yoo said, her face lighting up as she looked over her son. "I was beginning to think you weren't going to show up."

"I walked here." Youngjae said, stepping inside. His mother was always sickly sweet after kicking him out. "So, uh, yeah."

"You should have let me pick you up."

Youngjae shrugged as he kicked off his shoes. The two eventually made their way into the living room, Mrs. Yoo sitting in her recliner and Youngjae sprawling out on the couch. It really, really felt weird to be home again. "How's the baby?"

The teen sat up excited, crossing his legs and then there was a grin on his face. "Little Demon's doing great - the doctor says everything's going perfectly."

Mrs. Yoo blankly stared at him for a moment before slowly smiling. "That's good." There was a long silence, Youngjae sensing there was something else she wanted to say. He shifted uncomfortably before grabbing his phone and opening up the ultra sound pictures he'd saved to his phone.

"Here." He said, getting up and handing it over to his mother. Youngjae watched as she scrolled through the photos, stopping and staring at the latest photo. He couldn't tell what she was thinking - her face was completely emotionless as she looked and it was making Youngjae feel more than a little uncomfortable and almost defensive.

"Beautiful." She finally said, handing Youngjae his phone back. "Do you regret not having the abortion?" Mrs. Yoo asked once her son sat back down on the couch.

"No way." Youngjae immediately answered. "No. Absolutely not, never."

"Good, I'm glad." Her tone was gentle and the teen couldn't help but smile and feel a little weird at the same time. "I can't believe my baby is having a baby." Mrs. Yoo suddenly laughed. "But, I guess I'm not surprised. You're my son, after all..." Youngjae snorted at that. "Honestly, I'm just glad it's not Himchan's baby. The last thing this world needs is a mixture of Kim Himchan and Yoo Youngjae."

Youngjae busted out laughing and honestly, he agreed - That child would have no hope. "Yeah. The father is a really good guy. Sometimes he acts like he's got a stick stuck up his but he's nice." The teen trailed off for a moment before adding - "And he's rich."

"When do I get to meet him?" Youngjae shrugged and she rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Yoo Youngjae."

"I don't know." He sighed dramatically. "Soon? I guess."

Mrs. Yoo let out an annoyed sigh before looking over at her son. The teen pretended to be focused on his phone, ignoring the way she was examining him before finally snapping and letting out a loud what?! - "You don't seem very happy."

"Mom, seriously?" Youngjae raised an eyebrow. "No offense but since when have you ever cared if I was feeling sad or anything like that? What's with the sudden change?"

The woman pressed her lips into a thin line, her expression unreadable until finally it softened, like she was letting down a wall she'd built up. "I guess I just realize how close I came to losing you." She admitted, trailing off for a moment. "And I don't want that. I know I'm not the best mother but you're my son and I don't want you to completely cut me out." She swallowed thickly and Youngjae realized just how difficult it was for her to admit this. They weren't open with things like feelings. "I love you, I do. You know that, right?"

The teen slowly nodded his head. "Yeah, Mom. I love you too." The room got silent, neither knowing what else to say. It was awkward and uncomfortable but Youngjae was happy. He honestly couldn't remember the last time she said she loved him. "So, um, my baby-"

"Yes?"

"Do you love them too?"

She laughed. "Of course I do. That's my grand-baby." And Youngjae couldn't help the smile that grew into a full blown grin. He was happier to hear she loved his little demon more than he was to know she loved him. He just wanted his baby to be loved by their grandmother.

Youngjae snatched up his phone when he felt it vibrating, his pulse speeding up a little bit when he saw it was a text message from Daehyun. Where are you? and then another one came through - Are you okay? The teen pursed his lips. Why was he asking that? Or did Daehyun know how ty he was feeling?

My mom's house. I'll come home in an hour or two.

A minute passed and then there was another. Do you need me to pick you up?

No, I'll just walk. He answered. It was only a few seconds after he sent it that Daehyun was calling him. "Hello?" He answered, ignoring the way his mother was watching him.

"I don't want you walking in the dark." Daehyun said, the teen immediately noticing how tired he sounded. "Please just tell me the address and let me pick you up." Youngjae normally would have fought back a little bit but the exhaustion in the man's voice stopped him as he told him the address. "I guess you'll be meeting Daehyun tonight." Youngjae announced once he ended the called.

All he hoped was that Daehyun remembered his warning - she was like him. Only worse.

- - - - - - - - -

Daehyun slowed down his car, slowly going passed the homes and taking the time to mentally prepare himself for meeting Youngjae's mother. He didn't know if he was actually going to tonight - but, it was better to be mentally prepared than not. He kind of hoped tonight he wouldn't have to. He was exhausted from his own family matters. What happened to you and Insoo? Are you dating anyone else yet? You're getting old, Daehyun, you should just find a nice partner and settle down already. He shook his head, frowning deeply. The man knew he'd hurt Youngjae's feelings, leaving him alone in the apartment but it was complicated.

How could he ever explain Youngjae to his family? Eventually, he knew he would have to. He wasn't  necessarily ashamed of Youngjae - He was actually starting to get use to him... kind of - and he definitely wasn't ashamed of his baby. He was ashamed of himself, for getting a teenager pregnant, for ruining such a young kid's life. Daehyun tried not to think of it but it really made him feel disgusted with himself. He'd been so irresponsible.

The small house finally came into view, his GPS announcing he'd reached his destination and then he was pulling into the driveway. A couple of seconds later, the porch light came on and the front door opened. He gave a small wave to Youngjae before getting out and walking towards him. "Hey." Daehyun said once he finally reached the teen.

"Hey." Youngjae greeted back, glancing over his shoulder. "I'm guessing you already know Mom wants to meet you?" When Daehyun nodded his head, he turned around to go back inside.

Daehyun followed the teen inside, nervously clenching and unclenching his fists. He really had no idea how Youngjae's mother was going to react. Would she be angry? Was she going to scream at him for getting her son pregnant and oh god, what if she called the police? Youngjae was underage, after all -

"Mom, this is Daehyun." Youngjae's voice finally broke him out of his thoughts, Daehyun slowly looking towards the woman sitting on the recliner. The two met eyes and Daehyun gave a nervous smile.

And then it was silent.

Youngjae glanced between the two and nearly groaned when he noticed his mother's face lighting up. Oh, god. "Wow." She murmured, getting up from the recliner and making a beeline straight to Daehyun. The teen glanced at his teacher, who was nervously smiling at his awestruck mother, before shaking his head and sitting back down on the couch. "You are so handsome-" She squealed out, her voice shrill enough to make Youngjae cringe - and if he saw right, Daehyun too.

The teen watched as she grabbed onto his arm, compliments spewing from . He didn't know whether he should have felt relieved, embarrassed or maybe a mixture of both. "You are absolutely the complete opposite of anything I imagined, my goodness."

"Uh, thank you?" Daehyun said, unsure if that was a compliment or not.

"How old are you? What do you do for a living?" She asked, firing off questions faster than Daehyun could answer them. "Youngjae-" Mrs. Yoo looked at her son, her eyes wide with excitement. "If he hadn't gotten you pregnant, I'd be all over-"

"Mom!" Youngjae cut her off before she could continue, visibly shivering. It only took Daehyun a couple of seconds to realize what she was going to say and then he had to hold back a shiver himself.

"Sit down, come on." Mrs. Yoo pulled him to the couch, sitting in the middle so Daehyun was on the opposite end from Youngjae. "Please, tell me about yourself. I never would have expected someone so handsome and put together to be with my son." Youngjae rolled his eyes at that, muttering rude under his breath. "You are just a breath of fresh air!"

Youngjae snorted at that. "No, he's not. He's super stuffy."

"Hush." Mrs. Yoo ordered and then Daehyun almost wanted to shout Hah! at him. Maybe, he'd been around Youngjae a little too much. "So, Daehyun, as I was saying, tell me about yourself."

Daehyun properly introduced himself, saying his age and what he did for a living and then suddenly it was silent again. Mrs. Yoo looked at her son before back at Daehyun, her lips pressed into a thin line until finally - "So, you're Youngjae's teacher?"

Oh, Daehyun, why did you have to say that-Youngjae inwardly cringed.

"How often do you sleep with your students?"

Daehyun's face turned beet red and he quickly held up his hands, stumbling over his words as he tried to defend himself until Youngjae finally held up his own hands, silencing the older man. "It's not his fault, Mom." The teen said, letting out a long sigh. "We were both drunk, we met in a club. He thought I was older." The teacher enthusiastically nodded his head.

"Yes! I would never purposely do anything like this-" Daehyun quickly added. Youngjae let out a soft whine when Mrs. Yoo smacked him on the back of the head, scolding her son for being so stupid and risking ruining a man's life for his own stupid hormones.

Once she was finished scolding and smacking her son, she finally looked back towards Daehyun. The two stared at each other for a moment and then suddenly she reached out and smacked him on the back of the head too, making Youngjae laugh and Daehyun's eyes widen in surprise. "You're both absolute fools." She said, her voice serious. "But-" Her tone suddenly changed, shrill and obnoxious again. "If it had to be with anyone, I'm glad it's you!" The woman grabbed onto his arm again. "My son-in-law is so handsome."

Son-in-law? "Oh, we're not-" Youngjae quickly shook his head, hoping he'd shut up so they could go ahead and get out of there. The words repeated in his head. Son-in-law. He really had no idea what he and Youngjae really were. Maybe, they weren't really anything. Youngjae was just the one carrying his baby and that was it. Right?

Daehyun really didn't know.

- - - - - - - - -

"That. . . was stressful." Daehyun said as he backed out of the driveway of Mrs. Yoo's home. He'd endured almost two hours of Mrs. Yoo squealing over him and touching his arms, chest, even his thighs. He would be lying if he said he didn't feel a little violated. Just a little.

Youngjae hummed in reply, reclining the carseat. "I told you to let me just walk home."

"There was no way I was going to let you walk home in the dark." The teen hummed again and then it was silent for a while. If he was honest, it wasn't so bad meeting her. At least she didn't call the police or threaten to report him and it helped him understand why Youngjae was so. . . Youngjae.

Daehyun glanced over at the teen when he heard him laugh, raising an eyebrow. "Mom totally felt you up." The man blushed and tried to focus on finding a parking space in the parking garage. "I'm so jealous, it's been so long since I've last gotten anything.Just ignore him. Daehyun told himself, as he parked his car. "Daehyun, we should-"

"No."

"But-"

"No!" Daehyun shouted and quickly got out of the car, leaving Youngjae laughing in the car as he practically ran to the elevators in attempt to end that conversation, right then and there.

Chapter 9: This was another amazing chapter! Daehyun realized that he would have acted like that other teacher if he wasn't the one who knocked up Youngjae! And I like his resolve to do his best to help Youngjae! Although, knowing Daehyun...it will probably backfire on him! Awww Daehyun telling Youngjae he really does care for him! It was cute with Youngjae being so happy about what Daehyun said to him....and then Himchan comes and he doesn't ruin it all but Daehyun of course hears them and then asks Youngjae how does he know that Daehyun is the father! And of course Youngjae reacts badly!!!!
