“Youngjae, wake up. It's time for school.” Daehyun said, gritting his teeth as he tried to wake the teenager up for what felt like the millionth time. The teen groaned, muttering for him to go away and Daehyun snatched the blankets away. “Wake. Up.” He ordered when Youngjae slowly opened his eyes.

Youngjae let out an annoyed noise, curling into a ball. “I'm up.” He sleepily muttered.

“I'm not leaving until you sit up and get out of this bed.” The teen sighed loudly before forcing himself to sit up, his eyes still tightly shut. “Okay, good...” Daehyun trailed off for a moment. “Now, get up and go wash up.”

“Hey, Daehyun.” The teen reached up, roughly rubbing his eyes.

“Yes?”

“I can get up myself.” Youngjae finally opened his eyes, the annoyance apparent on his face. “I don't eat breakfast and those extra twenty minutes are important to me.”

Daehyun frowned deeply, shaking his head. “You need breakfast, it's good for you and the baby.” He turned around, leaving the bedroom. “Go wash up, please. We need to leave in forty minutes or so.” It had been three days since Youngjae moved in and he still hadn't gotten used to the teen. He really wondered if he was ever going to get used to Yoo Youngjae. He went back into the kitchen, checking on the steel oats he was preparing for himself and the teen. There were loud foot steps and then Youngjae sat down at the table, resting his cheek against it and closing his eyes.

“Youngjae, do you want some oatmeal?”

“Yuck.”

“Don't 'yuck' my yums.”

The teen sat up, opening his eyes and furrowing his brows as he thought over what Daehyun had just said. The man looked away, smiling to himself. Youngjae was a pain but even Daehyun had to admit, he was awfully cute in his sleep daze. Kind of. “Just try it.” The man glanced over his shoulder. “Do you want banana, strawberry or blueberries in it?” The teen let out a grunt. “Strawberries?” Another grunt. “Strawberries it is, then.”

“Thanks.” Youngjae murmured when the older sat the bowl of oatmeal on the table in front of him. Daehyun looked a little surprised before smiling and nodding his head, turning around and making himself a bowl.

“Is it good?” Daehyun asked, sitting down across from him at the table.

“It's 'kay.” He answered, unwilling to admit that it actually was really good. Daehyun shook his head and then the rest of breakfast was quiet, both lost in their own thoughts. It was comfortable, quiet and one of the rare moments where Daehyun actually felt comfortable around Youngjae. He started brainstorming, trying to figure out ways to get to know the teen. Whether he liked it or not, Youngjae was in his life forever now.

“What are you thinking about?'

Daehyun snapped out of his thoughts, raising an eyebrow. “Huh?”

“You were staring at me all weird.” Youngjae answered before getting up from the table and putting his empty bowl into the sink.

He hadn't realized he was even staring at Youngjae. “What kind of things do you like, Youngjae?” Daehyun paused for a moment, holding up a hand. “Other than .” He added and Youngjae laughed, muttering oh my god.

“Umm...” Youngjae leaned back against the counter, tilting his head as he thought. “I don't know.” He finally answered after a moment. “What exactly do you mean?”

“Any hobbies or?”

The teen went quiet for a moment before he shrugged. “Not really. I'm not good at much of anything, so...” For the first time, he just looked really lost. Daehyun watched him closely, wanting to say something encouraging but he didn't know what to say. “I'm gonna go get my book bag.” It was clear Youngjae didn't want to talk about this anymore as he hurried out of the kitchen.

Daehyun frowned deeply, he would definitely have to talk to the teen a little more about that. Everyone had something they were good at, even if they didn't know it and he was determined to help Youngjae figure out what his talent was.

“Are you sure you'll be okay?” Daehyun asked, watching as Youngjae gathered up his things and got out of his car a few blocks away from the high school.

Youngjae snorted. “Yeah. I'll be fine.” He shut the door, Daehyun quickly rolling it down. “See you in class.” The teacher nodded before hesitantly rolling up his window and getting back onto the road. He really, really wished he didn't have to drop Youngjae off so far from the school but the risk of being seen was just too high. Youngjae had assured him, over and over, he didn't mind but Daehyun still felt bad.

“Youngjae.” The teen smiled, spinning around when he heard Himchan's voice.

Himchan threw his arm around the younger teen's shoulder, sighing loudly. “Mom misses you so she got a new puppy.”

“I've been replaced by a puppy.”

“Yep.” He laughed, pulling his friend a little closer. “I never thought I'd say it but I miss you around the house too. How's baby daddy treating you?”

Youngjae stared off thoughtfully, shrugging. “He's nice, a bit dumb and rich so I can't complain. We don't have a damn thing in common though so it's weird sometimes. But yeah, he's nice.”

“Good.” Himchan dramatically sighed, letting go of his friend. “I'm glad I don't have to kick his . How's your little demon doing?”

The younger teen had to hold back a laugh, pleased he'd finally gotten his friend to call the baby that. He put his hand on his stomach and smiled. “I think Demon's doing good. Feels like I ate a bad hot dog though.”

“I have no idea what you mean by that.” The older shook his head as they walked.

Youngjae shrugged. “I don't know if it's too soon or if I'm crazy but I think I can feel Demon moving sometimes and yeah, feels like I ate a bad hot dog.” He paused for a moment, glancing at Himchan. “In a good way.” Himchan snorted at that and then they were walking inside the high school, ignoring the other teens staring at them.

“They're pissing me off.” Himchan growled once they reached Youngjae's locker. “I'm gonna kick their asses if they keep staring at you.”

The younger teen shook his head. “It doesn't matter. I don't really give a so, don't get suspended over something stupid or I'll have to kick your . Besides, if you get suspended, whose gonna protect me?” The thought of having to show up here and Himchan not being around was more than just a little scary – even if he wouldn't admit.

“It just pisses me off so much.” Himchan leaned against the locker next to Youngjae's. “Like, that right there-” He pointed towards one of the girls staring at them, watching as she quickly turned away when she realized she'd been caught staring. “ was caught having in the library, who the is she to judge you?”

“You're only a if you get knocked up.” Youngjae reminded him, glancing over when he noticed Himchan bowing up at someone.

What? What are you looking at? You wanna fight?” Himchan started to get into the teen's face but Youngjae quickly stopped him.

“Chill, Himchan.” Youngjae pulled his friend back. “He just wants to get to his locker.” He snorted when his friend let out a soft oh and moved out of the way, allowing the teen to quickly get the books he needed before hurrying off, obviously terrified of Himchan. The two teens eventually split up, both heading towards their classes with dread.

Youngjae hated this place, god, he hated this school. Time felt like it had purposely slowed down as he tried not to fall asleep in his classes, his book bag feeling heavier and heavier with each class. All he wanted to do was go back home and take a little nap... For a week or so.

Yeah, just a little nap. Youngjae thought as he walked into Daehyun's classroom. He took a seat, sighing loudly as he listened to the other teenagers chatting, shouting and being all in all obnoxious. Normally, he would have stood up and told them all to shut the up, but he was just too exhausted today.  He rested his cheek against the desk, sighing loudly. Only a few more hours then he would be able to go home, eat and go to sleep.

He frowned when he felt something hit the back of his neck. Are you ing kidding me? He thought as he sat up, looking at the spitball on the floor. Youngjae quickly looked behind, narrowing his eyes. “Seriously? Are you like, eight?” The teen held up his middle finger towards his classmates before resting his cheek against the desk. He held back a groan when someone sat on the edge of his desk. “ off.” He muttered without looking up.

“So, who's the father?”

“ off.” He repeated, slowly sitting up. He wasn't in the mood for this and Youngjae felt like he was two seconds from slapping a . Specifically, the sitting on his desk. Yeah, maybe he was overacting, but he was tired as and moody.

“Is it Himchan's kid?” Youngjae stared blankly for a moment, the whole classroom silent before he stood up and quickly shoved his classmate off of his desk, the teen hurrying to regain his balance. “What the is your problem?” He hissed, getting into Youngjae's face.

Youngjae rolled his eyes. “Seriously, for the last time –  off.” And when his classmate made no attempt to move, the younger teen shoved him again. He nearly groaned when the other classmates started chanting fight, fight, fight and normally, he would have but things were different now. He had a little one to protect. He started to move back when his classmate reached out to shove him back and then he heard a loud “Cut it out!”. Youngjae lookedtowards the door, letting out a sigh of relief as Daehyun hurried towards them.

He expected the man to go off on him, to lecture him but instead he had his whole attention on his classmate. “If I ever see you put a hand on Youngjae, I will personally make sure you're suspended-” Daehyun's hands flung into the air. “He's pregnant, for god's sake! What is wrong with you?! None of you-” He motioned to everyone in the classroom. “If any of you ever put your hands on him, I'll make sure you're suspended. I mean that.”

Youngjae's lips formed a small 'o', surprised at how protective Daehyun was being. If he was being honest, Daehyun was almost scary right now and if he was really, really honest it was giving him a . He watched as his teacher took his classmate out of the room before slowly turning around, meeting eyes with his other classmates.

Youngjae stuck out his tongue and flipped them off before sitting down again. Yeah, sure, maybe he was kind of instigating things right now but Daehyun didn't have to know that. Nope. Daehyun came back in and they met eyes, the teen mouthing a soft thanks before Daehyun looked away, telling everyone to get their books out.

The teen couldn't help but feel pleased – it was a good feeling knowing Daehyun would stand up for not only him but their baby. The only person who had ever done that for him was Himchan. It really meant a lot to Youngjae and for the rest of the day, he found it difficult to hold back his smile.

- - - - - - - - - - -

“Are you ing serious?”

“Himchan, chill.” Youngjae shook his head as they walked down the sidewalk to where Daehyun was going to pick him up. “Mr. Jung told them off. Like, I was surprised as hell, I didn't think he had it in him.” He was certain his words were going over his friend's head, the older fuming.

“Seriously, just say it and I'll kick his .”

“Himchan, I love you.” He pulled the older into a tight hug, the older teen groaning – he couldn't stay angry when Youngjae did this. “It's fine, calm down.” He said swaying them before giving Himchan a few hard pats on the back and pulling away as Daehyun's car pulled up. “See youtomorrow.”

“Yeah, yeah.” Himchan sighed. “See you.” He watched as Mr. Jung visibly cringed when Youngjae slung open his car door and it was obvious he wanted so badly to scold the teen. Youngjae waved at his friend before closing the door and putting his seat belt on.

The teen let out a long sigh of relief, closing his eyes and resting his cheek against the window. He was almost asleep when his phone vibrating in his pocket snapped him awake. Youngjae shifted, fishing his phone out of his pocket, staring at it for a moment before groaning and hesitantly answering. “Hey, Mom.” Daehyun glanced over in surprise, the teen ignoring him. “Yeah, I'm fine. No, I'm not living with Himchan anymore.” Youngjae paused, listening to his mother before speaking again. “I'm living with the baby's father. Yeah, he's rich so it's good.”

Daehyun shook his head, listening closely. “Um, no my next appointment isn't until next month. Yeah. I already went.” The older raised an eyebrow – his next appointment was this weekend. Why was he lying? “Yeah. Yep. I'll text you the date, I need to look at the paper again. Yeah. Yeah, okay. See you soon. Bye.” Youngjae ended the call and sighed loudly, muttering dumb old lady before moving to rest his cheek against the window again.

“Why did you lie?” The man couldn't help but ask.

“Because it'll be your first time going to the appointment... Trust me, you don't want her there.” Youngjae smiled at him. “She's like, three of me.” And he laughed when the man visibly cringed at that.

Things were quiet the rest of the ride home, neither saying anything until Daehyun found a parking spot. “For earlier, thanks. I really appreciate you standing up for me and the demon like that.”

The older man opened and closed his mouth a few times, debating on whether or not it was worth it to tell Youngjae not to call their baby 'demon' anymore. “Of course I'd stand up.” He finally said. “But, listen, Youngjae, you have to start being more mindful of your words. I don't want the baby or you hurt.”

“I know.” The teen quietly spoke, undoing his seat belt.

“I'm not scolding you, you know.” Daehyun gently spoke, reaching out and grabbing his arm. “I'm worried about you and the baby.” And with that he released Youngjae's arm, getting out of the car.

“You being all protective and is so hot.” Youngjae said as they walked inside the apartment building. Daehyun stared forward, unsure of what to say to that. “Makes me want you to pick me up, whisk me away and me into that nice bed of yours.”

“Youngjae, please behave.”

“Yes, sir!” The teen laughed, running ahead so he could press the elevator button. Daehyun stood still for a moment, shaking his head. There was no doubt in his mind anymore -

He would never get used to Yoo Youngjae.

Chapter 9: This was another amazing chapter! Daehyun realized that he would have acted like that other teacher if he wasn't the one who knocked up Youngjae! And I like his resolve to do his best to help Youngjae! Although, knowing Daehyun...it will probably backfire on him! Awww Daehyun telling Youngjae he really does care for him! It was cute with Youngjae being so happy about what Daehyun said to him....and then Himchan comes and he doesn't ruin it all but Daehyun of course hears them and then asks Youngjae how does he know that Daehyun is the father! And of course Youngjae reacts badly!!!!
