This is a story I had posted before. The story is inspired by Jaejoong 'Sunny Day'. Since I'm bad with angst, I turned it into chibi story. Well, I changed a bit from what I had posted.

It was a sunny day that week. It had been cloudy for the few days before. The children were playing outside.

“Joongie, don’t play under the sun too long,” a little boy with bald head named Yunho warned his pretty friend.

“It’s fun Yunnie. Come on,” answered the other boy while swinging his swing.

“No! Yunnie doesn't want to. Yunnie's head will be shiny and other friends will laugh at Yunnie,” little Yunho pouted.

“Come on Yunnie, or Joongie won’t let Yunnie hugs Joongie again,” Jaejoong crossed his arm.

“Andwaeeeeeee!!! “ Yunho ran to the swing and pushed the swing for Jae.

Meanwhile, near the swing, the chubby Junsu was playing with his soccer ball with Yoochun.

“Get this, okay Suie,” Yoochun passed the ball to Junsu.

“Okie dokie, Chunnie,” Junsu received the ball and dribbled it.

“Pass it back to me, Suie,”

Junsu kicked the ball towards Yoochun, but he kicked the ball too hard. The ball stopped in front of little Changmin who was sitting on bench, looking at the gate dreamily.

“Minnie, kick the ball!” shouted Yoochun.

“…….”

“Minnie! Yah!” Yoochun shouted once more.

“Let’s we get the ball, Chunnie. Maybe Minnie didn’t hear us,” Junsu pulled Yoochun’s hand, dragged him approaching Changmin.

“Minnie, is kicking the ball is a hard thing for you?” asked Yoochun when he finally stood in front of Changmin.

“Minnie?” asked Yoochun, seeing no reaction from Changmin for his question earlier.

“Minnie, are you okay?” Junsu waved his hand in front of Changmin, but Changmin didn’t even blink his eyes.

“It’s scary, Suie. Is Minnie dead? Chunnie will call Yunho hyung and Jaejoong hyung, Suie waits here okay? Takes care of Minnie,” Junsu nodded.

It’s a rare occasion to see Changmin didn’t react to anything. He was usually the noisiest kid beside Junsu. His routines would be bullying Junsu or munching his food.

“Jaejoong hyung, help us,” Yoochun was panting, he had been running so fast because he was worried of Changmin.

“What’s wrong, Chunnie?” Jaejoong stopped playing with his swing.

“Minnie is dead.” Yoochun’s face was getting pale, and he started to sob.

“Minnie what?” Jaejoong widened his eyes.

“Minnie is dead, hyung. He didn’t answer my question, he didn’t blink his eyes,”

“What? Where is he?”

“He… he was there.. near the gate. Suie is taking care of him now,” said Yoochun still sobbing.

“Let’s we go there, Chunnie. Come on, Yunnie,”

“NO! Yunnie still wants to play with the swing, Joongie,” Yunho pouted.

“Aish, Yunnie. Minnie is dead, and Yunnie still wants to play with the swing? FINE! NEVER HUG JOONGIE AGAIN!” Jaejoong turned his body, giving his back view to Yunho.

“Andwaeeeeee! Yunnie will come with Joongie,” Yunho jumped off the swing and hold Jaejoong’s hand.

“Ah Chunnie, hyungdeul, you are here,” Junsu looked up. He was sitting next to stiffened Changmin.

“How is Minnie, Suie?” Jaejoong asked worriedly.

“He hasn’t blinked his eyes until now, hyung. But, his mouth suddenly opened, and his drool came out,” Junsu explained.

“So, he isn’t dead, is he?” asked Yoochun.

“I don’t know, Chunnie. What if he is really dead and we can’t play with him anymore?” Junsu’s eyes were full of tears. He cried very loud, and soon after that, the others followed to cry. That day could be the saddest day for them.

*slurp *slurp

“What are you doing, hyung? Why are you guys crying?” suddenly little Changmin talked after wiping his drool.

“Kyaaaaaaa, Minnie becomes a zombie, kyaaaaaa,” Junsu screamed, hid behind Yoochun.

“Minnie is zombie,, nooooo Joongie is scared,” Jaejoong pulled Yunho to stand in front of him.”

“Yah, Joongie! Don’t stand behind Yunnie. Minnie will eat Yunnie,” Yunho tried to pulled Jaejoong, but failed.

“So, Yunnie doesn't want to peotect Joongie anymore, does Yunnie?” asked Jaejoong from Yunho’s back.

“No! Yunnie will protect Joongie. Yunnie is Joongie's cute monk, that's why Yunnie has to protect Joongie. Minnie, you have to pass me first,” said Yunho with trembling voice.

“What are you talking about? Who’s dead? Who’s zombie?” Changmin titled his head cutely. He was confused with what was really happened to his hyungs.

“You, Minnie. You,” said Yunho.

“Aish, pabo hyung. How can I become a zombie?”

“Errm, because you’re dead and suddenly talk to us?” finally Yoochun found his voice.

“Hahahahahahaha, you are so funny hyung. I’m not dead hyung,” Changmin laughed his lungs out. He didn’t know his hyung could be this stupid.

“So, why are you sitting here just staring at the gate? You didn’t answer us,” Yunho voice was still trembling.

“Well, I’ll tell you after you stop doing this. I’m not a zombie okay,” said Changmin, touched Yunho’s arm.

“NOOOOO! MINNIE TOUCHED YUNNIE’S ARM, YUNNIE IS ZOMBIE NOW, NOOOOOO!” Yunho freaked out.

“Yah! You broke my ears, hyung,” Changmin covered his ears with his hands.

“I’M A ZOMBIE, I’M A ZOMBIE,” Yunho shook his head hard.

“Yunnie, shut up!” Jaejoong smacked Yunho’s head.

“Minnie and Yunnie are zombie now, Joongie. How can Yunnie shut up?”

“Pabo Yunnie, if Yunnie and Minnie are zombie, Yunnie and Minnie can’t go under the sun okay?”

“So, Yunnie is not a zombie? Minnie either?” Yunho asked in disbelieve, Jaejoong shook his head.

“*cough *cough can I tell you now why?” Changmin faked a cough to get the others’ attention.

“Go on, Minnie,” said Junsu while stepping out from Yoochun’s back.

“It’s happened yesterday when Minnie was waiting for Umma….”

Flashback

Little Changmin was sitting on the same bench yesterday. He was waiting for his Umma to pick him up from the daycare.

*grumble *grumble

“Hungry hungry tummy, poor you,” sighed Changmin.

He was so hungry at that time. He closed his eyes, and suddenly, an image of delicious takoyaki popped in his mind.

Yummy. Changmin his lips.

The streets are filled with images of you, it overflows

Changmin opened his, he looked at the round lamp post near him. After several second, the lamp post was missing, it became a big takoyaki instead. Changmin blinked his eyes, but the lamp post still looked like a takoyaki for him.

It’s really a big takoyaki, said Changmin in his mind.

Changmin diverted his gaze to the street. Many cars parked near the daycare. He looked at the tires but he was surprised. All of the tires were takoyaki.

So many takoyaki

The sunshine is filled with your scent, it overflows

And after that, every time he saw round thing, it would change into takoyaki. He even could smell the takoyaki.

Ah, that must be a takoyaki with chilli, Changmin pointed at red light on the traffic light.

And that must be seaweed takoyaki, Changmin pointed at the green light on the traffic light.

Uwaaaa, chocolate takoyaki, smells good, Changmin pointed at the brown big clock on the Daycare wall behind him.

I’m living like this, your bright face looking at me still the same

Without he realized, he was walking a little bit far from the daycare. He saw a takoyaki chart across the street. He wanted to cross the street, but for a little young boy like him, crossing a street without adult guidance would be dangerous. That’s what his umma told him. So, he just stayed, stood precisely across the takoyaki chart. The takoyaki seller saw Changmin and smiled at him while waving his hand. The seller remembered Changmin, since he usually bought some takoyaki from her with his umma before.

And you still dare to smile at me with that bright face while I’m living like this? Starving to death? Stupid ahjumma, mumbled Changmin in annoyance.

Changmin kept staring at the takoyaki chart. The seller pitied him. So, she crossed the street to where Changmin was standing.

“Hi little boy,” the seller greeted Changmin.

“Hi, ahjumma,”

“Where’s your mom? You usually come to my chart after the daycare time is over.”

“She’s still on the way, ahjumma.”

“Ah, I see.”

*grumble *grumble

“Are you hungry little boy?”

“Yes ahjumma, I’m always hungry,” said Changmin sounded so proud of it.

“Hahaha, you are so cute, little boy. Take this takoyaki with you, and walk back to the day care. Wait for your umma there. It’s not really save here for a cute little boy like you,” the ahjumma pinched Minnie’s cheek.

“Really, ahjumma?” Changmin couldn’t believe what he had just heard. He got the takoyaki he wanted so badly.

“Yes, but eat the takoyaki after you walk back to the daycare, okay?”

“Okay, ahjumma,” Changmin smiled.

“Good boy,” the ahjumma ruffled Changmin’s hair.

Flash back end

Again today, I get ready for a coincidence

“What? The reason you stared at the gate dreamily is takoyaki?” Yoochun frowned his forehead.

“Yeah, I’m hoping the ahjumma will come to the gate and bring me some takoyaki,” said Changmin, forgot to close his mouth and the drool started to fall down from his mouth.

“Aish, wipe your drool Minnie, you make me hungry, Minnie,” Jaejoong rubbed his stomach.

“What my Joongie wants to eat?” Yunho asked, he already wrapped his hand around Jaejoong’s waist.

“Takoyaki!”

“Let’s we wait for the ahjumma here together,” suggested Yoochun.

“Yeah, let’s wait here,” said Junsu.

So, five of them were sitting together on the bench, looking at the gate dreamily with their mouth wide opened imagining some delicious takoyaki. What a sunny day!
