After spending a long time preparing the meals, the princess and her guards were ready to go out and give free food to the poor. They brought a couple of maids and a troop of guards with Hyuna leading them. The princess wanted to ask Jiyoon to come along but Hyuna was nagging after her for paying too much attention to a mere maid. Gayoon didn’t want to argue with her, so she let it go, letting Hyuna with the decision to choose which maid would come with them.

When Hyuna arrived to the kitchen to get a few maids, Jiyoon was somehow looking forward, she had a feeling that she would be chosen to accompany the princess to this event. As Hyuna name the maid out, Jiyoon heart was beating faster, anticipating to hear her name, but to her disappointment, her name was nowhere to be hear. As Hyuna was pointing out the maid out, she was paying attention to Jiyoon, to see her reaction. She was delighted to see Jiyoon unsatisfied face.

As everyone was getting ready to leave, Hyuna walks towards Jiyoon. ”I told you, mere maid like you would not be chosen by our princess. You probably want to ask me if the princess asked for you, stop dreaming and be careful with what you do, or else you will be punished and get kicked out of the castle, or even get sentenced to death” Then she walked away leaving Jiyoon there staring at her with a increasing anger.

“This…. What the hell is wrong with her?! Did I do something to her? Oh my god, if I wasn’t in this mission, I swear, I would have ripped her heart apart already!! That damn woman! Believe me, I will make you pay for this!”

As Hyuna came out with the maid, Gayoon was happy to see Jiyoon but she notices that Jiyoon didn’t even bother giving a look to her and just walked away. She wanted to ask if something happened but Hyuna was already directing the group, telling the guard that no matter what, he has to stay close to the princess in case someone would take this chance to hurt their princess. She also tells the maid to do their job correctly and then gave command to the group to leave the castle already.

As they reach there, the people, young and old, are all welcoming the princess with loud cheers and bright smiles. They knew the princess would come from time to time to visit them and give them food. It was the joy of their life whenever they get to see their kingdom princess treating them so nicely.

The guard were giving order to the villagers to form lines to get food, things was going smoothly. As some villages got their food and happily thanks the princess, they try to hold the princess hand but one of the guards push the village to the floor. “How dare you touch our princess!” which cause a commotion, Hyuna was trying to settle down the other villager who was yelling at the guard that pushed the person down. Gayoon quickly approach the villager to help him up while apologizing, as she does that, the villager took from his pocket a dagger and was going to stab through Gayoon, at that moment, they heard someone screaming “BE CAREFUL PRINCESS! HE HAS A DAGGER!” which made everyone on their guard and was running toward the criminal. The princess tried to run away, but her aggressor still had her on his reach, the dagger was going to hit her chest. At that moment, someone pushed Gayoon on the floor to save her and then a shadow jumped out of nowhere and killed the criminal.

Hyuna quickly ran to the princess to see if she was ok, Gayoon was perfectly fine, luckily. They got up and she tried to look at whoever had saved her. It was Jiyoon, who had pushed Gayoon away and a handsome man have made his apparition. The man offered his hand to help Jiyoon up, but she quickly ran to the princess.

“My highness, are you alright?” Jiyoon asks her.

Gayoon is surprised to see her. ”Jiyoon?!”

Hyuna walks at them like a tornado, visibly furious. ”What are you doing here?! Who gave you permission to?!”

Jiyoon completely ignored Hyuna. ”Princess, you have forgotten some of the foods, so I have brought the rest here”

Before Gayoon could thank Jiyoon, a man speaks up.

”I would never allow a woman with such a pretty heart to die in front of my eyes” he winked at the princess.

Hyuna quickly steps up. ”YOU! WHO ARE YOU! HOW DARE YOU TALK LIKE THIS TO OUR MAJESTY!”

The man just smirked at Hyuna and walked away.

Hyuna was fuming. ”Yah! I’m not done talking, how dare you kill the criminal! We should have leaved him alive so we can get information out of him!”

The man just kept walking without paying attention to her which pisses Hyuna off, she quickly rushed to get him and was about to hit his shoulder, but was stop by some guard around him. ”Do not touch our boss, if he wouldn’t have killed him, your princess and the maid would have been dead by then!” then they all just walked away.

Hyuna wanted to arrest them but Gayoon stopped her:”Hyuna, that’s enough. Let’s give the food to the other first.”

Hyuna quickly kneeled on the floor. ”I’m sorry my majesty, again we failed to protect you.”

Gayoon sighed. After saying to Hyuna that she was fine, she addressed to her subordinates. ”Okay everyone, let’s continue distributing the food”

Jiyoon:”Hm… Yes, princess”

Gayoon felt weird, she could feel that Jiyoon was treating her coldly, she wonders if she did something wrong that upsetted Jiyoon, she felt uneasy being around her.

As they give food to the rest of the villagers, Hyuna and the guards became stricter, they wouldn’t allow the princess to get in contact with anyone, meanwhile Jiyoon, she was sulking like a child, still feeling upset with what Hyuna had said about Gayoon. Jiyoon had thought she didn’t even want to mention her name. As she gives food to the villagers, she also thought something wasn’t right; could it be that another group was attempting to kill the princess?  

As everyone got back to the castle and was ready to go back to their dorm, Hyuna orders Jiyoon to stay making her feel uneasy. Jiyoon knew they were going to have an argument, so she decided to ignore Hyuna’s words and walked toward her room.

Hyuna yelled Jiyoon’s name twice, but Jiyoon kept walking forward, clearly ignoring her.

Gayoon calls her. ”Jiyoon?”

Jiyoon immediately stops and turns back. ”Yes princess?”

Gayoon wants to clear things with her. ”Did I do something that ups..”

Guards:”My highness, the king have ask for you to change quickly and go to the living room, it’s a gathering and you must dress nicely to meet a guest”

Gayoon sighs, she wanted to talk to Jiyoon a bit more.

Jiyoon knew they couldn’t have talk more, even if they could talk, Hyuna would be a hindrance so she just excused herself and walked away. Gayoon was sad by her sudden cold attitude towards her but she didn’t have time to talk to her. She had to go back to her room and take a fast bath and change into her dress.

As she was done and heading into the living room, the maids and guard all bowed to her, as she advances to the table she sees someone that’s sitting at the table. As she reaches there, he stood up and bow down to the princess while lay a kiss on her hand. ”It’s my pleasure to meet you, my princess.” As he stares up, both Gayoon and Hyuna recognize him, he was a young, thin guy, it was the guy from back then.

Hyuna shouts. ”It’s YOU!!!”

The young man was staring at Hyuna and gave her a smirk.

The Queen got mad at Hyuna’s behavior. ”Kim Hyuna, who gave you permission to talk?” She asked, which scared Hyuna.

Hyuna bows. ”I’m sorry, my highness”

The queen announces him. ”This is the prince from Jang Kingdom, his name is Hyunseung. Gayoon sit down next to him.”

Gayoon finally understands what was this meeting about, it was to meet his potential husband.

Gayoon felt extremely uncomfortable with him next to her. The thought of having that guy as a potential fiancée, let alone as a husband was getting on her nerves. Hyunseung wasn't uneducated, far from it, he had good manners, was an expert with the bow and seemed to enjoy music and dance. He had a polite smile and a nice voice. However, Gayoon caught him staring at Hyuna. At first she thought he was impressed with her bodyguard, in Jang Kingdom there weren't females as guards. But she caught him too many times looking at her which made her almost laugh in the meeting.

"He clearly likes you!" Gayoon was trying to find the humor in this depressing situation but Hyuna seemed to be in shock. They were alone in the roof, talking about what happened today. This day had been very busy, with the visit of the Prince.
 

"No way, Gayoon. He looks so...and he’s such a jerk!"
 

"Trust me, he likes you. Or at least he is interested in you!" Gayoon laughed but Hyuna shook her head.
 

"What if he proposes you instead of me?!"
 

"That's ridiculous, Gayoon! You are a princess!" Hyuna almost yelled, and tried to calm down but Gayoon kept laughing.
 

Hyuna shrughs, and she looks mad. "I wouldn't marry a prince. I made my vows to protect you!"
 

Gayoon nods. "I'm joking...but, if he's going to become my husband....he will be in charge of everything. My voice will be silenced and I will be only a tool..." She stares at the outside, the skies filled with dark clouds. The light of the candles illuminates her beautiful, yet sad face. Hyuna looks down, wondering if she would be able to be at her side in such circumstances.
