Two months before their debut, the girls were rehearsing and perfecting their moves. The music was stopped suddenly by one of the representatives and Sehee greeted him followed by the others.

“I’m going straight to the point. Everyone had signed the 13 years contract right?” he asked and everyone nodded except for Chaerin. “Except for Cho Chaerin.”

“You only signed for 7 years is it?” He asked and Chaerin nodded.

“I’m giving you two choices right now. Sign the 13 years contract or pull yourself from this.” He said and Chaerin’s eyes widened.

“But I need to ask my parents first.” She said and the representative held up his hand.

“Is this because of the budget?” Soomi asked.

“If you’re going to pull someone just say it straightforwardly.” Sehee said.

“Shut up if you want to debut.” He said and Soomi bowed her head.

“I had a career already. Let Chaerin debut in place of me.” Sehee said.

“No.” He said and turned to Chaerin. “Come with me.”

“Unnie…” Chaerin turned to Yumi.

“Faster! I don’t want to waste my time.” He snarled. “The others, wait for your vocal teacher. She will redistribute your lines.” He said and dragged Chaerin away.

“Do we really can’t say a word?” Eunsung asked.

“No, you can’t even think about saying a word.” Sehee said.

“Don’t be sad, Yumi yah…” Soomi comforted the current maknae.

“Let’s just do our best.” Youngrae said.

“Hourglass, 10 more minutes,”

The six five girls were currently trying to calm themselves and remember the lyrics and steps. They had performed in front of their seniors during dry rehearsal and had received positive feedbacks. But who knows what will happen later.

“Are you ready?” Sehee asked and one by one, they nodded.

“HWAITING!” They shouted and made their way out of the waiting room.

“How can you trip and fall?” Manager Lee asked, rubbing his temples once Hourglass stepped down from the stage.

“It was an accident, you don’t have to yell at her.” Sehee said. Soomi was trying hard not to cry. How can she mess up on their debut stage? All her hard work…she wanted to cry her hearts out right now if not because of the members were surrounding her, comforting her.

“Just pray that the camera didn’t catch it.” He said shaking his head as he pulled out his phone.

“You can’t change what has happened, so just let it go. Stop blaming yourself.” Sehee said as she saw Soomi staring out of the window in their room, feeling hopeless.

“It’s our debut stage…” Soomi said.

“At least you’ll remember your debut stage forever.” Sehee said. Soomi didn’t know if her unnie was being sarcastic or joking.

“I’m not only sad! I’m embarrassed too!” She wailed dramatically and Sehee shook her head.

“You still have a long way to go before becoming an actress.” Sehee said and Soomi threw a pillow which she caught it.

“I told the stylist unnie to let you wear shoes for tomorrow’s performance.” Sehee said and Soomi made a face.

April 17, 2004 – MBC Music Core

The cheering of fans once they walked onto the stage was a new feeling. Being cheered on, when dancing and singing was a new sensation to the girls. The fans screamed in frenzy when they started singing. Even with both earpieces glued in their ears, the screaming of their fans can still be heard of.

But starting yesterday, they had become really busy. They have photo shoot, cf filming, interviews, radio shows, fan meeting, etc. They had to leave their previous life.

It had been two months since they debuted and they had adapted the idol life. It has been a while since they contacted their family or friends. If they had free times, they will usually spend it by catching their sleeps or resting.

I know I had pulling the members off one by one but I couldn’t help but feeling sad.

The original line-up of Hourglass is always the best. I had chosen the six girls but unfortunately a few of them are no longer interested in this story.

P/S: I tried to distribute the lyrics evenly but you know how some of the members in real life can only sing one line, right? If you have lesser line, you are usually at the front when dancing.
