R is a pretty girl. A sweet and joyful one, living in a life full of happiness and joy with her parents and circle of friends. But, not until this tragedy happened..

T'was my 16 birthday. I am happy looking at my reflection on the mirror while my designer is doing her job. My bestfriend, Mikaella, ran to me while giggling. She playfuly pulled my hair, "Omyfreakinggosh! I'm so happy for you. At last, Kai is already courting you! And mind you, having him as your later?! That's just so sweet!" she said like a proud parent after her daughter's graduation.

 

 

Urgh. I rolled my eyes heavenwards. Gosh! Why do I have a friend like her? She's just too immature! I hate her for saying that it's my first time being courted! I pouted, "Stop shouting! It's embarrassing!" I said. I felt like being red as a tomato already! Though, designers and a few of my relatives are the only people inside, still it was embarrassing! She can even shout from the end of the corridor of our school to another, I’m telling you.

 

 

“Hahahaha! But.. you’re truly beautiful.” She said, raising her hands, a sign that means promise.

 

 

Aww. Too sweet that my eyes watered. I hugged her so that she can’t see my overdramatic reaction and whispered, “Thanks.”

 

 

I broke the hug when the designer told me that she’s already done. I took a quick glance at the mirror before exiting the opened double-door and walked as everyone, including my relatives, applause.

 

 

I nodded at everyone as a sign of thanks and carefully walked on the grand staircase with my best friend just behind me.

 

 

I was happy and contented of what I have. Later that night, when the party almost ended, only my dad, and brother were left.

 

 

My dad told me to get the gift on their room. I even mocked ‘cause the room is too far. Eventually.. after protesting and walking a hundred of km, I saw a puppy. It’s too familiar ‘cause it’s the dog that I saw on the pet shop last month! I totally loved it!

 

 

I hugged it and kissed it’s temple. I ran to our my father to thank them. But sadly, while running, I heard a roar and a gun shot.

 

 

I quietly walked near the wall with a spot and saw my parents swimming in blood. I saw my dad's mouth telling me to.. “Run.”
